We have been there twice since moving to Morris. The first time we just dropped in. It is carry out only, there is no seating. We ordered, and after a short wait took our food home to eat. The shrimp kow was excellent. The second time we were a little wiser, ordered a variety of things from home and it was ready by the time we got there. While we were driving on interstate 80 across the country, we stopped here for takeout. The food was so delicious, that I went back in to tell the lady. I asked for not spicy Szechwan sauce and it was awesome. Best Chinese food that I've ever had. It is also next door to a Dollar Tree Store to grab hotel essentials that you may have forgotten. The employee was much more interested with playing on her phone than answering our questions or being responsive. The only good thing about this place is it is cheap. Two shrimp, maybe three, maybe even one in the same dish ordered at different times. Veggies appear to consist on what they have on hand at any given time. One time a dish consisted of 90% celery. If you know what to order here and can ignore the 12 yr old daughter (afterall, she would ignore you if she could), this is a pretty good place. The owners speak very little english and the daughter they leave at the front desk doesn't WANT to speak. I definitely agree that the sauce they use for chicken dishes is pretty gross. I usually get chicken everywhere but here. They also are very inconsistent with recipes...it's like they don't use recipes. Sort of a chefs choice with your ordered item as a guideline on what you you get. We love the egg rolls, soup, fried rice, beef dishes. They don't skimp on ingredients or quantity. Just average Chinese food but good in a pinch when you're craving it. The portions are a good size and the food consistent, but overall the quality and taste of the food leaves a lot to be desired. The sauces they use are really thick and even a bit gross. (The sauces turn into solid blobs of jelly when cold), and the food goes down really heavy. There is also very limited vegetarian/vegan options and the owners do not seem willing to add any new items or adapt other dishes to be vegetarian. (I asked if they could make Kung Pao vegetables once since they have kung pao "any meat you want", but they said they could not... UMM, why? I also asked before for details on what sauces certain dishes use since I have some food intolerances and they were no very helpful with that request either... they were very vague using only general descriptors like brown sauce or white sauce instead of saying if it was oyster sauce, soy sauce, garlic sauce, chili sauce, etc. Overall, the food is tasty enough to hit the spot when craving it, but there are far better options out there... just not many other better options in the immediate Morris area. read more
