If i can choose negative stars I would, but I have to choose a minimum of 1 star to post the review. However, they do not deserve any. If you like roasted duck and want to have a full duck when you pay for one DO NOT GO HERE. I went on Saturday and got the traditional roasted duck, which was separated into two boxes. When I opened up the first box, it looked much smaller than the norm, but I saw that the second box looks full so didn't think anything of it. I had the first box for lunch and there wasn't any duck breast included, there was a duck head, neck and other pieces (no duck breast at all). At night, I poured out my second box to find a total of 3 small pieces of duck breasts, however to my surprise there was 3 duck heads in it. The reason for the second box looking full is because there wasr 3 full duck heads embedded on the bottom of the box. Therefore, in my whole roasted duck order I have a total of 4 ducks head with alot of neck pieces and only 3 pieces of duck breast. Also, one wing was missing as well. I love roasted duck so I purchase them on a regular bases in all different BBQ places and normally a whole duck includes around 6-8 pieces of duck breast. Given what happened I proceeded to call the store to let them know what happened and I was told to send a picture of the duck and then to call them back. The person I spoke was supposed to be the owner of the place, but I can't validate that. The owner responded to me by saying they probably thought you like duck heads so gave you extra to be nice and that in a whole duck there is normally only 2-3 pieces of duck breast, which are all lies. Whoever this person was really thought that I've never seen a roasted duck before in life, but it is actually one of my most favorite food. I've attached the picture of the second box of the roasted duck that I received to show the 3 heads that was in it. Very bad business, charging customer full price but taken 1/3 of their food away. They shouldn't be able to get away with something like this. read more

Other menu stars include the fried rice with chinese sausage & smoked pork, the casseroles (yummy beef with ginger and scallion!), and the soups (shredded duck and pork is my favorite; kids love the chicken and corn).\r \r Delivery is available, but try eating in; bring the family and enjoy the roomy tables and kid-friendly environment, including multiple TV screens. Servers are friendly -- if sometimes English-challenged. \r \r Though the restaurant is usually filled with Asian families, I've never felt out of place as a non-Asian. . . well, except the one time my sister freaked out about the (lovely) head-n-foot-included display of our whole soyed chicken. The staff were happy to quickly remove the ""offending"" items.\r \r The only downsides are the cash-only payment policy and the difficulty of getting a parking space on Hancock Street at dinnertime; small price to pay for such a great meal! read more

I've been to this place many times, it was introduced to me through my very good Chinese friend who knows the ins and outs of Chinatown. I absolutely love the wonton noodle soup - I've been to Hong Kong before and have had a lot of amazing wonton noodle soup there, and this was probably the best I could get in Boston. It's always so nostalgic for me. If you like fried rice, you've got to try some of theirs. I have tried most of them and the quality is pretty consistent. I can't give them a 5-star review because the service isn't great. Some of their waiters are a bit slow since their English isn't great. But be patient, you'll get good food, it's worth it. The food is very inexpensive, unfortunately they do not take cards so bring cash! Also, if you have a large crowd, I would avoid this place because it's quite small and you would have to wait for awhile. read more

As someone who was born and raised in Boston, this is one of my long-standing favorites in Chinatown, and it's one of the few I'm glad has withstood the gradual gentrification of the area. This place is simple - good food at crazy affordable prices. It used to be a hole-in-the-wall, but they've recently renovated to create a more modern space, and even with that, have not jacked up their prices. Lastly, you're not doing this place justice if you're looking for dishes / flavors you'd get at your average chinese restaurant. It's focused on authentic Cantonese cuisine, and as someone who lived in Hong Kong for 2 years, this is one of the places that's as close as it gets. My favorites include their beef chow mein (beef crispy noodles), wonton noodle soup, and roast duck. You really can't go wrong going for many of their rice dishes and noodles soups. read more

I ordered food for delivery, but when it arrived, I discovered that three dishes were missing, including a $50ish roasted duck. I immediately called the restaurant and was informed that they had forgotten to give the delivery person the other bag of food. It was frustrating to learn that the restaurant was aware of the mistake but did not bother to notify me. Two days later, I noticed that only two of the missing dishes had been refunded. The charge for the roasted duck was still on my bill. I had to call the restaurant again to request a refund for the missing item. It was frustrating to have to retell the entire story, and the person who answered the phone was not helpful. They refused to provide their name, making it difficult for me to follow up with them directly in the future. Overall, it was a terrible experience. read more

Was passing through Chinatown and decided to get some takeout. Before attempting to do this, make sure someone else is with you in the car. You will not find parking especially on busy weekend nights. I called in to put my order through. Be sure you know what your looking to order since they'll only know the names of the dishes. They speak only Chinese, more specifically Cantonese, on the phone. When I arrived, I waited about another 10 minutes before leaving. They take cash only so keep that in mind. Cleanliness is an issue here but some may argue that the best food comes from the dirty hold in wall joints. Went home and loved the sautéed snow pea leaves and stir fried wide rice noodles with beef and scallion. read more

After getting served a 1/4 of COLD roast duck, I have given up on this restaurant for good and will NEVER eat here again. If you look at the picture on the bottom right, you can clearly see the oil has become gelatinous which indicates that it's been sitting around all day getting cold before they shoved it in a bag and charged me for it. I didn't pay all that money for this crap just to have to heat it up in a microwave! This is unbelievable and unacceptable BAD service. read more
