Love love love how hot and fresh the food was! This is a really decent hidden gem! I got the chicken Lo mein and the chicken was so tender and flavorful! My egg drop soup was also very delicious! For the price, this place is great! Great service, quickly able to pick it up, and the food you got was expected for the price. We did a large wonton soup, general tsao with a side of fried rice, combo lo mein, and fried dumplings. Not too big on the inside, I assume it's mostly a carry out type place. This is the best Chinese food option in Forney. They do their own delivery which makes it cheaper than ordering through a 3rd party. We always get the family special which is $10 a person and I think you can do it for up to 6 people. That gets you an entree, steamed or fried rice, egg drop or hot and sour soup, and an eggroll- such a good deal! The vegetable lo mein is soooo good. Not like those skinny, dry, flavorless noodles from Panda Express (sorry, Panda fans). They are thick and saucy and a perfect side order if you're doing the family pack with a few people and want a lil something extra to split. I'm giving a 5 with a couple caveats. 1) This is based on only eating at home. They have some seating options inside, but I have yet to see someone sitting down and dining there, and it's just not that type of vibe. 2) Delivery takes a long time. I know chinese food notoriously takes a while, but be prepared to wait an hour for your food to arrive. But it's worth it :)) read more

Fried rice was good, but it costs extra to add tofu (should be the same price as chicken or pork in my opinion). Also, despite ordering a veggie option, asking for tofu, and requesting no egg, they gave us a chicken egg roll on the side. A little confused how we didn't read the room with the order being all veg that we don't do chicken... by reading the other reviews it seems like they could save a lot of money and poor reviews by just taking away the egg roll all together. In my opinion this place is a must-try. honestly I am surprised that they don't maintain a four or five-star rating here on Yelp, I have never had a bad experience (keep in mind I've only ever gotten take out I have never dined in) but our order has always been correct and I imagine you would be hard-pressed to find another Chinese restaurant where you can get an entree, soup, and egg roll right around $10. Went in around 4 pm on a Friday to sit down and eat with Hubby and daughter. First time trying this place. My friend recommended it and said it was something fast and good. Well she was right! Friendly service and theres plenty of tables to dine if you wanted to. I notice this place has more to-go orders. Nothing special about the ambiance just your typical fast food Chinese dine in. Daughter had the Lo Mein beef, hubby ordered the Hunan chicken and shrimp, and I have the Kung Pao chicken and shrimp. You have the option to choose steam rice or fried rice. We went here to do takeout. This place does get busy and they do get a lot of takeout orders. The place is definitely a hole in the wall and they serve American Chinese food like Panda Express, but they make the food fresh. They do have a daily special for 2 and the next time we come here, we will give it a shot. Prices here are not bad at all. We ordered 1. So we have been hungry for Chinese food and have tried this location in the past on a couple of occasions,but it's been about a year since we have been here. Doing a yelp review is hit or miss based on personal preferences. We got the family special general Tao chicken fried rice each and hit and sour and wonton soup which also comes with 2 egg roles and 2 cookies. Food was really good and enough to have again for dinner. Customer service staff was welcoming as we placed the order in store and waited. Just a short wait. Service is awful! My wife went inside and made a to-go order. She was the only person in the restaurant waiting for an order at the time and they called out her order and handed her the bag. She got home to find out that she had someone else's order. She called in and they tried to blame her for the mistake and said we could come up there and get the food we ordered. I went up there to pick up the food and they asked for the food back, which I did not take with me. I know in the food industry, once food is given and taken away, it shouldn't be taken back. He said that I needed to go back and get the food before we could get our order. He said they needed it to show that it was the wrong order when he said on the phone that we had the wrong order. This was a pleasant surprise actually. Not a lot of these smaller asian joints impress me, and this one is somewhere in the middle of 4 and 5 in my opinion but not quite 5 stars. The General Tso's chicken is the absolute best I've ever eaten - including some much more expensive table service type places. While I was slightly disappointed in the heat level, it was probably a perfect middle ground for the typical Forney suburban client who isn't interested in 6 or 7 digit Scoville rating peppers anywhere near their palette. The egg rolls were also very well done. Slightly denser than I prefer, but I still enjoyed them and the sweet/sour sauce was a much nicer consistency than many places. The steamed rice was just right as well. The only real ding is the soda fountain wasnt the cleanest and the dining area is small so prob not too pleasant on Saturday night. My first time trying them I walked in at 922pm and was informed by the rude employee that they were closed and they close at 930pm. NEWS FLASH!!!! 1. It's not 930pm yet and 2. All of your ads publicize a 10pm closing time. I guess they are doing well enough during the Pandemic to turn business away and be rude about it. At first I thought the menu prices were just a little high, in fairness they do give you a very large plate of food. Yet I was hoping that I would have more vegetables with my chicken dinner but got only two little pieces of broccoli for a garnish. It turned out the chicken was overcooked, crispy to the point of chewy and tough. The fried rice was really boring; it has no vegetables or anything in it, just plain with no real flavor.
