    Lo mein egg drop soup
    Pamela G.

Love love love how hot and fresh the food was! This is a really decent hidden gem! I got the chicken Lo mein and the chicken was so tender and flavorful! My egg drop soup was also very delicious! I cannot wait to try their other entrees! My only complaint is that it was hot inside but having a warmer atmosphere keeps the food hotter longer lol. Overall the staff is really nice and the food was hot and tasty!

For the price, this place is great! Great service, quickly able to pick it up, and the food you got was expected for the price. We did a large wonton soup, general tsao with a side of fried rice, combo lo mein, and fried dumplings. Not too big on the inside, I assume it's mostly a carry out type place. Containers were pretty full when we got them, taste was decent. Going to be our go to place for cheap Chinese food from now on :)

Great food, great portion size and good customer service. In my opinion this place is a must-try. honestly I am surprised that they don't maintain a four or five-star rating here on Yelp, I have never had a bad experience (keep in mind I've only ever gotten take out I have never dined in) but our order has always been correct and I imagine you would be hard-pressed to find another Chinese restaurant where you can get an entree, soup, and egg roll right around $10. The pad thai is my favorite entree, but I also like their General Tso's chicken and orange chicken. The quality is not fine dining but it is definitely a few steps above Chinese buffet quality Chinese and for such a reasonable price *Poor *Decent *Good *Great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Food. Kung Pao chicken and shrimp with fried rice

Went in around 4 pm on a Friday to sit down and eat with Hubby and daughter. First time trying this place. My friend recommended it and said it was something fast and good. Well she was right! Friendly service and theres plenty of tables to dine if you wanted to. I notice this place has more to-go orders. Nothing special about the ambiance just your typical fast food Chinese dine in. Daughter had the Lo Mein beef, hubby ordered the Hunan chicken and shrimp, and I have the Kung Pao chicken and shrimp. You have the option to choose steam rice or fried rice. Food came out fast, hot, and huge portions! It was delicious! Very flavorful and plenty of protein in the dish. Some places give you more veggies less protein. Will definitely be back!

Shrimp had what looks like poop still in it. My daughter almost ate it all.

This place is is really good!! The egg rolls had no flavor at all but everything else was so good they get 5 stars anyway!! They are super fast, reasonably priced, and soooo delicious! I highly recommend!

This was a pleasant surprise actually. Not a lot of these smaller asian joints impress me, and this one is somewhere in the middle of 4 and 5 in my opinion but not quite 5 stars. The General Tso's chicken is the absolute best I've ever eaten - including some much more expensive table service type places. While I was slightly disappointed in the heat level, it was probably a perfect middle ground for the typical Forney suburban client who isn't interested in 6 or 7 digit Scoville rating peppers anywhere near their palette. The egg rolls were also very well done. Slightly denser than I prefer, but I still enjoyed them and the sweet/sour sauce was a much nicer consistency than many places. The steamed rice was just right as well. The only real ding is the soda fountain wasnt the cleanest and the dining area is small so prob not too pleasant on Saturday night. I'd definitely come back and prob will. Certainly a better chiice for the same money over Panda across the street.

We always enjoy ordering pickup here. Great amount of food, always left overs. General Tso and orange chicken is our regular.

We decided to give Thai Square a chance, and it didn't disappoint. We did find the sushi rolls a bit expensive, but their buy 2, get 1 for $3 offer kinda balances it out. One day, we came back to try some other items on their menu. The Shrimp Fried Rice and Pad See Eew caught our attention. And boy, were we in for a special treat. Both were amazing! They also included a choice of soup. We tried both soups and were pleasantly surprised. The meals came with steamed rice, which we upgraded to fried rice. Then I noticed two lobster dishes on the menu. One was the Surf and Turf: lobster tail with filet mignon, garlic butter, and brown sauce. The other was the King of the Sea, with lobster tail, salmon, shrimp, and scallops in curry sauce. Both included a choice of soup and steamed rice, and both were fantastic. At $35 each (it's 2026!), I thought they were a pretty good deal, especially considering everything that came with them. I think we've found one of our favorite Thai/Sushi places in the Forney/Dallas area. We'll definitely keep coming back and navigating our way through the menu, hunting for more surprises.

The people are the exact same. It was truly a feeling of nostalgia that's hard to describe. My favorite dish has always been, and still is, the bamboo shoots with pork. It is so fragrant, umami, and simply delicious. The west lake soup is also a classic done so well - pro tip to add white pepper to give it a little kick. The steamed pork belly was okay - sauce is flavorful (a touch salty) along with the preserved greens but the pork wasn't as tender as I had remembered it. The fish filets are fried to perfection, full of salt/pepper flavor, and pairs well with the jalapeños. If you don't like fish, you can get the same flavor with the pork version of this dish, which I also really like. The service can be a little slow because it's just 1 chef and 1 waitress who own the restaurant - same people that have run the show since I first came here probably almost 30 years ago! Incredible to see them still working so hard and serving delicious food. They'll never know how much their restaurant and food means to me!

Great flavor and the pork didn't have that weird pork taste some Asian places have. The crispy smoked duck pancake was awesome and worth the steeper price. I wasn't a fan of the sauce alone, but in the pancake was excellent. The eggroll was a decent eggroll and the duck sauce that came with it was the best sauce I've had with an eggroll. The lady working was sweet and was working her butt off with the 5 tables she had. Felt great to support a local business. The restaurant itself is out dated but the tables and utensils were clean. The atmosphere added to the experience and the background music was just perfection.
