This place is a staple in the Saddle Brook community. Hong Kong has been there for 20+ years making good food. There are only a few places in town for quick Chinese takeout and this one rules the north side of town. By no means is this place super nice on the inside where you'd want to go eat with your family. I think the interior can definitely use a refresh to say the least. But without a doubt this should be your go-to spot for Chinese takeout, as the food is great and the prices are good. The family that owns it is super nice and hard working. We ordered steamed bean curd with broccoli like we have many times in the past. It was good but there was very little bean curd, especially for the quart size! This was disappointing especially since it used to be about half bean curd and half broccoli. We also ordered the bean curd szechuan style. It was skimpy on the bean curd and was lacking in flavor, did not taste like Szechuan style. Just started going here last year when we moved to Saddle Brook, food was was mediocre at best, hit or miss some nights but close to home.Now this dive has changed owners/management,the food is awful,the same dishes we used to get are completely different and of poor quality. I also find it very unsanitary when their young children are running around the kitchen area near the food, this is not a playground area or daycare center, the kids should not be roaming around. We grabbed take out on a Wednesday night. The staff behind the counter was friendly, and the place is squeaky clean, even with the clear view of the kitchen from the front of the house. The mu shu vegetables were really good with just enough moisture in there to keep them tender, hoisin sauce and pancakes too, enough for two people. Shrimp chop suey combo looked great, and the person eating it said it was very good, with pork fried rice and an ultra-light egg roll rounding out the package. They took the order fast, cooked it faster, and sent us on our way to eat it in about 15 minutes. AND the food was good...always a nice bonus. read more

We decided to try Hong Kong out while waiting for cvs to fill a script. Sesame chicken was really good and the sauce was not overbearing like most take out places. The egg rolls and fried rice were so greasy I just tossed them but the chicken was excellent. General Tos was just as good as the sesame chicken Vegetable LoMein was very good and not to greasy. For some reason it came with rice and I have never had noddles and rice. Was a bit much. I would recommend this place in town for inexpensive quick Chinese food. Hong kong used to be the premiere spot for Chinese in the area. The food was good. Ingredients fresh. Delivery extremely fast. I dont know what happened but hong kong completely fell off. The quality of food has plain and simple jus went down. Only thing they have going for them is fast delivery. Great prices and great quality food. Their prices are great but their best deal is their lunch special which is 6.99 for an entree, rice, and an egg roll, soup, or soda. Andy and his family's Resturant has become a staple for when I return to town. Excellent chicken w. broccoli and pork egg rolls. Fair prices for good portions. I have order from this place and they didn't provide me with the right order and then I called back to get the order correct and they still brought the wrong thing. I called back a third time and they were not accommodating. They blamed it on having a new person taking orders but still would not refund me. Be very careful of this place as they are inconstant with the food, sometime good sometimes not, but most of all not accommodating to their customers. I will never use this place again.
