Honolulu cookie company is at the Shops at Wailea, within walking distance from our resort. They have a huge variety of choices. I love they have limited edition cookies like the Jasmine, Chai and Matcha flavor. I bought a box that built my own flavors and a few pre-packaged gifts as souvenirs. The service was great and they do give out cookie samples before you make the purchase. read more

Such a sweet store to shop at. Plus my guy absolutely loves their cookies & I just fell in love with their new strawberry matcha cookies. Although I'll need to go back soon to pick up some more. Cause I definitely don't want to run out, they are what I'd consider melt in your mouth kind of happiness. There's some cute keepsake merch in there too. the most addictive cookies ever!!! I can't make a trip to Hawaii without stopping in to grab my favs. I love the chocolate dipped cookies. So delicious. We go for the custom mix boxes for ourselves, then grab some gift box varieties to bring back for family. The packaging is lovely - really makes for a nice gift that everyone can enjoy. The people here are friendly and helpful. It's always a great experience to go in. Prices are a bit high, sure, but it's a solid splurge item. read more

As a local from Hawaiʻi, I don't usually go for the "touristy" spots but I still have a soft spot for Honolulu Cookie Company, especially the Wailea location. It's clean, well-stocked, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. They're generous with the samples (love that), and they really make you feel at home, even if you're just browsing. The cookies? Still ono. Buttery, not too sweet, and perfectly crisp. My favorites are the dark chocolate macadamia and guava. They make great gifts for visiting family or to take on trips as omiyage. And let's be real the pineapple-shaped packaging is super cute. Only downside is the price it's definitely more of a "special treat" kind of stop. A small box can add up fast, especially if you're customizing your own mix. But for the quality and presentation, it's hard to beat. read more

I knew I needed to get my hands on these cookies when one of my friends who previously visited Hawaii sent us a package of these cookies. They're freakin delicious. At the store, they have mini cookies where you can sample all of the flavors. They also have a bin of broken cookies that give away for free. I got the Large Chest Box (20 pcs) $20.95. They let you mix n match, which makes it great so you can choose what you want. This is probably the cheapest option as you're not paying extra for the containers. These make great souvenir gifts or snack to indulge on for yourself. read more

I can find these famous pineapple-shaped shortbread cookies at my local Costco back in Seattle, but this store carries all sorts of flavors that I don't see at home. For instance, they have Kona coffee, confetti, guava, white chocolate-dipped, dark triple chocolate macadamia and more! Many of the flavors contain macadamia nuts. There are containers of samples by the door for customers to help themselves and of course we tried them all. I liked that instead of cutting up the original-sized cookies, these were just tiny cookies intentionally made for sampling. We stopped by to grab a couple gifts for our family and some cookies for ourselves. Although they had a vast selection of pre-made gift boxes, we decided to assemble our own combination ($28 for 30 cookies). We packed over half the box with our favorite... the Kona coffee ones. They are speckled with coffee bean flecks and chocolate-dipped! As a heads up, an employee told us that the pre-packed boxes last for a few months before expiring, but the individual cookies for packing your own box will expire after about a month. So it's best to go with the pre-packed ones, but if you don't see a flavor combination you like, then just be prepared to enjoy them right away. It was actually challenging to fit all 30 cookies in the box, but one of the employees kindly helped us at the counter to arrange them perfectly. Other than the Kona coffee, I loved the triple chocolate and guava cookies. You really can't go wrong with any of them. The shortbread is super buttery and each cookie is light, crunchy and not too sweet. They pair wonderfully with coffee or tea, but of course, they are delicious on their own too. The pricing is not cheap, but at least they do offer a punch card. If you spend $50, you can get $5 off your next purchase. read more

i've eaten these cookies for awhile, but never visited their store! pretty expensive, but definitely worth it since you get to make your own box & choose all your fav cookies! it was really nice to have the option to try samples, especially for their new flavor: lilikoi! it's a nice break from shopping for clothes/decor as you get to explore their building with AC & very organized displays. the staff is very patient and friendly as you browse, letting you do your own thing. they let us leave the cookies we bought with them while we shopped around (pretty humid). i also got a cute HCC sticker, which is pretty unique!! overall, perfect place to buy gifts or even just treat yourself to some of the best cookies in hawaii (in my opinion) read more

We LOVE Honolulu Cookie Company. We've been to this location both times during our visits to Maui. We actually bought several cookies from them during our visit in Feb. 2024 to include in gift bags for our wedding guests. Everyone loved the cookies. I appreciate how they offer samples for every flavor so you can try before you buy. The space is clean and conveniently located. Had pleasant visits during our entire stay in Wailea. Store gives out rewards card and every $52 spent, you will earn extra 5 cookies. The store is smaller than the ones in Oahu and since there aren't many locations in Maui (if I am not mistaken this is one of two), best to grab your cookies when you see this store. We stumbled upon this place while walking around the Shops at Wailea. We wanted to grab a gift and they had so many options here. There were a bunch of cookie flavors and so we picked a large tin lunchbox thing that could fit over 20 cookies and it came at a decent price. Staff was helpful in cleaning it up to look really nice. We even got some cookies for ourselves which were really good. If you want a nice looking gift real quick, pop in here and you can be out in 5 minutes. read more

Imagine receiving a delivery from Honolulu Cookie Company out of the blue. That's what happened to us! On Maui, HCC has just three locations, on Front Street and in Whalers Village in Lahaina and in the Shops At Wailea in Kihei. Outside of Hawaii, locations now include Las Vegas and Guam. The company was founded in 1998 by Keith & Janet Sung. I'm pretty sure HCC got their inspiration from Big Island Candies, mimicking shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate halfway, but shaped their cookies into pineapples rather than rectangles. I guess the proverb "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" rings true? GOODIES: Aloha Window Box (16-count) 8 flavors came in a decorative paper box (some come in beautiful tins too), all individually wrapped. The variety included two each of Butter Macadamia, Chocolate Chip Macadamia, Guava, Pineapple Macadamia, Chocolate Dipped Macadamia, Dark Chocolate Kona Coffee, Dark Triple Chocolate Macadamia and White Chocolate Coconut. Every cookie in the box was delicious but I tend to lean toward the traditional/mainstream flavors as my favorites. But, I did actually enjoy the Guava and Pineapple variants as well. The Guava had an intense scent of the actual fruit as I ripped the plastic off. And to my surprise, the fruity flavor married well to the buttery, pink-colored shortbread cookie. In general, I hate pineapple anything, but in a cookie it was tasty. The only thing I didn't enjoy were the sticky, chewy pieces of fruitcake-like candy that were stuck inside of both the guava and pineapple cookies. OVERALL: Hawaii-based cookie companies run circles around the larger corporate behemoths from the continent! read more

My parents really like these cookies, but I think they are just OK. They offer a lot of options of flavors. Their packaging boxes are nice to give us gifts. Over priced but I guess you were paying for the name and send a well-known brand of cookies from Hawaii to bring back home as gifts. These are not your soft type of butter cookies. These are on the harder side. They have discounts wear obviously the more you buy the more potential discounts you can receive. read more

IMHO We never come to Hawaii without visiting many of the Honolulu Cookie Company shops! Are pineapple-shaped shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate or flavored with Hawaiian fruit/coconut your thing? Then this is your place! They give free samples of the cookies and offer a wide choice of whimsical cookie-filled gift boxes to give as souvenirs when you get home! You can choose from pre-boxed varieties of the cookies or you can box up your own favorites. We have standing orders to bring home a box or two of all chocolate covered cookies. read more

Not crowded at all when we stopped by since it just opened. I got the 30 ct BYO box for $28, tried the butter and pineapple and were delicious~ Not too sweet and perfectly buttery. They had all the flavors at the shop besides the coffee ones. You can also ask for a stamp card that gets you free cookies when you buy a certain amount. I didn't believe the hype regarding these cookies, but stopped in for some last minute souvenirs and I don't regret it at all. Are the cookies cheap for the size? No Do they pack good taste for the size? Definitely They have free samples of the flavors and the customer service here was very friendly. We bought some variety boxes (I got sold by the cool looking packaging), and I got excited last minute they had individual flavors to purchase to make your own box too. We have tried these cookies before since they have stores in Vegas, but why not get them right from the Hawaiian islands during a visit? The manager, Amy, was great. So enthusiastic and friendly! The cookies themselves are awesome. You can help yourself to generous samples of all of them right when you enter the store. They come in a variety of packaging perfect for gifts including cool pineapple-shaped tins and smaller tins in the shapes of tropical flowers. Boxes are available as well. The cookies are a wonderful crunchy shortbread which is not too sweet. Some of the cookies are flavored (try the guava!). Some are partially coated in chocolate and others not. You simply cannot go wrong with whichever one you choose, but the guava and coffee flavors are two highlights. They have a stamp card loyalty program, so if you spend $100 you'll be rewarded. These are delicious cookies, and the customer service in the store is great. So pick some up for yourself and grab extras for gifts! read more

Overhyped. These are expensive, small shortbread cookies. They're cute and make good gifts because they are in the shape of a pineapple. Taste wise, it tastes like a basic shortbread cookie you bought at the grocery store. Also, they have a store in Las Vegas so it's not even a Hawaii exclusive. Did I still buy 3 souvenir boxes for gifts because I am a sucker for things shaped like pineapples? Yes. But I wish I would have spent my money elsewhere. read more

If you've never been to Honolulu Cookie Company you need to go. Awesome cookie spot. Any time we go to the islands we are sure to load up on the variety of cookie options they offer and take them home as gifts for friends and family. They alway offer a slew of free samples and we take "full" advantage of that. They do have a store on the main land in Vegas and Costco has offered a small variety box from time to time. OMG, I love this store, I pretty much got everyone I know a box of cookies from here. Both of my carry ons were jammed packed with cute pineapple shaped cookies. These are most definitely the best souvenir gift to get family, friends and coworkers. The have a wide selection of flavors, each cookies pineapple shaped, all wrapped individually and perfectly packed in its container. Given the time that I was in the store, before Thanksgiving, they were promoting the holidays so they had some nice holiday printed boxes and pineapple shaped ornaments. Store is always clean and neat and they restock right away, which is def a plus, always leaving the store prefect looking. Customer service was awesome, super duper friendly and nice staff, while shopping around, they offered samples and water for us to enjoy. Price: is reasonable and most def worth it Bonus Item: stamp card, for every $5 spent, you get a stamp, once you hit 10 stamps, you can redeem 5 cookies of your choice for yourself. You best believe I hit the free cookies more then once! LOL read more

Established in 1998.

Honolulu Cookie Company started in 1998 when entrepreneurs Keith and Janet Sung developed a recipe for premium shortbread cookies. As an artist, Keith wanted to develop something unique - a cookie that represented true Hawaiian hospitality. What he created was a line of island-inspired flavors in a signature pineapple shape. At one point, my child was touching some delicate items, and before I even noticed, a staff member gently and politely reminded her to be careful. I was actually grateful for the correction because I could've been held responsible for the demages done. It truly takes a village to help raise children, and I appreciated how she handled the situation with patience and kindness rather than frustration. Mahalo to this wonderful lady working her. It's refreshing to visit a business where people genuinely care about both their products and their customers. Thank you for the delicious treats and for showing such grace and understanding. We will definitely be back!

I really like that I can select from the old world German Artisan collection and the Hawaiian Artisan baked goods. I snagged the Isabelle, a loaf of bread made of spelt (dinkel wheat, high in protein, fiber, and antioxidants) and rolled in an assortment of seeds. The texture is soft and the crust is slightly chewy. Just right and the taste is very satisfying. I can't bring myself to putting a slice into the toaster, though, because I don't want to risk losing any of the seeds. I'll be fine with the broiler and some butter. I also went for the Hawaiian Bread. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It has pineapple, toasted coconut and tiny soft raisins. The bread is moist from the pineapple juice and the loaves are small. I could finish one off in a setting but I resisted the urge. I also bought extras for sharing and had to pass them out quickly before temptation called. I'll return soon.

We enjoyed their Paniolo Smash Burger, the Lobster Toast, along with an order of the delicious Mediterranean Meatballs. The Paniolo Smash Burger has two char-grilled patties of local beef topped with caramelized Maui onions, bacon and a slice of American cheese (we ordered their "burger sauce" on-the-side). The char flavor help define that "extra taste" on the burger -- Fries or Loaded Fries are available for an add-on. The Lobster Toast was served on focaccia lightly toasted bread, which was topped with a decent amount of lobster meat mixed with a milky -almost too much so- shaved fennel and whipped avocado salad. The portion was decent as an appetizer or for a light-eater's meal. The Mediterranean Meatballs was another delicious appetizer-size portion of three savory meatballs consisting of local pork & beef with a few spices. The underlying sauce of lemon yogurt with a hint of mint harissa made the dish sing. Delicious. Aurum Maui is a relatively newish eatery (July 2025) at the Shops of Wailea, and we hope they continue to thrive. As the restaurant got busier, the noise level rose considerably. It was my first visit to Aurum and I like to try a difficult dish the first time I dine somewhere new. I spotted the Simple Root Chicken ($45) and asked the server about it. He said it is cooked sous vide style (to keep it moist) and then broiled to golden brown. He said it a leg and a thigh and very popular, so I tried it. It was a breast, not a leg/thigh, and while it looked great, it was dry and virtually unseasoned. I told the server and almost had a Lineage Chicken delivered to the kitchen so the chef could see what a proper Chicken dinner tasted like!
