I wish I wrote a review years ago, however, the fact of the matter is that I'm always so excited to get to my appointment and leave so relaxed that writing a review is the last thing on my mind. However, what makes this place different is that despite almost never really knowing who will be my massage specialist, I have not had a bad experience over the past 2 1/2 years here. At one point, I was coming in monthly for a problematic area on my right side of my upper body, so you can imagine how many rotating therapists I had the opportunity to experience. Logistically, the customer experience is simple: parking garage with $2 validated parking (super cool!), easy to locate the office as you walk past the beautiful koi ponds, along with a clean reception area and friendly & knowledgeable staff. Their heated massage tables are such a great touch to help me relax, along with their choice of ambient music and aromatherapy used in their three rooms. I also love their use of technology to secure an appointment--I almost always get a quick response and can secure an appointment that will fit into my busy schedule. When I'm on the rock, I usually get a massage. For the longest time, I went to a place down on the edge of Chinatown and have always been satisfied. But this year, I thought I'd try somewhere different and looking through Yelp, I found HMaB. I emailed through the website and received a call a day later. I did ask for Kenji since he seemed to be everyone's favorite, however, I was told he might not be available. My therapist was Patrick. I had 90 minutes of relaxing bliss. One thing he did, which was the first time I've had done, was a facial cranial massage. Maybe he saw the tension in my face from my school year. I felt really relaxed when I left. I didn't know about the parking validation, so I will do that next time. Parking inside the Eaton Square Garage with validation is only $2. It's a tiny place with a cute little reception area and 3 rooms available for their clients. Their rooms are super clean and their massage beds are heated! Brownie points :) I've been here a couple times with different therapists every time, and although they are all different in their own styles, all of them were great and left me feeling relaxed and looser. I had Song on my 2nd visit, and he really understood my body and applied the right amount of pressure in the areas that were super tight. I liked the technique he used and the essential oils he held above my face allowed my lungs to breathe better too. After my 1-hour massage with him, as I was checking out, he gave me tips as my body was very stiff in my upper body, mainly the right side. He also validated my parking, which only cost $2 for 2-hours! I highly suggest getting their 5 one-hour massage gift certificates for $200. That's $40/massage! Such a great deal! Found this place from Groupon and I have to say it was one of the best deals I've purchased there. Locating a masseuse near me was a plus (no hunting for parking), but the massage itself was immensely satisfying, unlike massages I've had in the past. I've had less than 6 massages in my life before this and for some reason they always left me noticing more pain than before so I've never returned. Kenji, though, left me feeling noticeably less tight than before. I was able to secure an appointment for a 90-minute massage one day prior, which was appreciated. The place was nicely tucked in a building located not too far from Waikiki. Upon arrival, I was asked to complete a couple of usual registration and health information forms. I was then whisked to a massage room -- which was lean but functional. The massage itself started "just okay". I was looking for a relaxing experience, but the lady masseuse was interested in chatting, sharing about her recent trip to California, and about her experience in restorative massage. All in all I didn't mind conversing, it was just the fact that I was looking for a quiet and zen time. The conversation eventually subsided, and amazingly I fell asleep through the whole appointment. I want to start by saying being a massage therapist can be a double edged sword, in that you know how you like to be worked on and it's hard to find that person that lets you relax without you constantly thinking about what he/she could/should be doing. I am happy to report that I have found that person. *happy dance* I've been here twice now, and have left with my poor shoulders feeling so much lighter and a big ol' smile on my face. Kenji is the therapist I see (and also the owner), and he has a great touch with plenty of experience to back it. For me, I need deep enough pressure to do something, but I want to be able to relax and not feel sore for three days after. I'm also very tight in my calves and hamstrings and while you can go elbow deep in my shoulders, you have to be NICE to my legs! Kenji acknowledged this and does just that. Great massage, talks with me when I talk to him and but let's me drift off to la-la land when I eventually trail off. His office is small, but very clean and with music playing. It's the same for treatment rooms AND they have heated beds! Love! You can park in the garage with two hour validation which is awesome for the area that it's in. Great place! Friendly staff and high quality service. I had a very relaxing massage and achey areas feel much better now. I had trouble finding the place and made a poor presumption about the availability of street parking, and the result is that I arrived SUPER late. I felt really bad, but I was amazed by how understanding they were. My massage therapist fit me in for the full hour even though he had someone coming in right after I left, leaving him no lunch break. It's not part of their policy to do this, so future customers shouldn't expect it--but I wanted to point out their friendliness and understanding, and that's the sign of a good business. Regarding location and parking: there is a parking structure at Eaton Place at the intersection of Hobron and Lipe'epe'e (just makai of Ala Wai). Kenji was my masseuse, and he was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We had a thorough chat about where I was aching, so he put a lot of focus there before moving on. He's very in-tune with you; he noticed when I was tensing up or breathing differently, so he lightened or deepened the pressure depending on how I was reacting. I've been here several times. It started because my friend (the owner) opened shop and I was just trying to be supportive. But now, I can't stop because the massages are amazing! And the pricing is so reasonable, I went from rarely treating myself to massages to going, I don't know, once a month-ish? Overview This is not a spa. This is a no-frills, get a good massage at a reasonable price and a small cup of water after kind of place. If you're looking for, I don't know, super luxurious accommodations? This isn't the place for you. If all that matters to you is the massage, this might just be paradise. Location Eaton Square in Waikiki. A little hard to find because it's tucked away in some nook at the beginning of Waikiki (on the Ala Moana end). It's on the 3rd floor which really looks like the 2nd floor. Look for the vinyl sign when you walk into the center. Parking Eaton Square has a parking structure and you may as well use it. The massage place offers subsidized parking - $2 for 2 hours. Just remember to bring your parking stub in and they'll put stickers on it. There's metered parking outside, $1.50 for 1 hour, but if you're getting an hour massage, you probably don't want to undo the relaxing effect of the massage by running out there before your meter expires. Atmosphere Kinda plain in the waiting room. There are two couches and some art on the wall and they have music playing. Totally nothing fancy. There are 3 massage rooms -- they are also pretty plain, but it doesn't matter. The massage tables are comfy and heated and your eyes are closed and you, theoretically, shouldn't be paying attention to any of that when you're getting your massage. Services Holy crap, the massages are awesome. If you are able to, request that Kenji be your massage therapist. I always tell him he has magic fingers. I'm not an easy person to massage -- my back is crooked due to scoliosis. But he has figured out how to massage me in a way that other massage therapists could never do. Today was such a great add to my vacation!! My cousin brought me here to support her friend's business, and I was more than satisfied with the massage I got. This place is simply two couches and check-in desk in the lobby, and three treatment rooms behind it. It isn't a full on day spa with steam rooms, saunas & jacuzzis but not having the extra amenities does not take anything away from the massage. After a 6 hour flight and a hike up Koko Head in the past two days, a full body massage was exactly what I needed. Kenji lead me into a room and did a little q&a before stepping out for me to undress and slip in under the sheets before "the magic" began. The room was a bit cool but felt nice to be in since it was really warm out and the bed was heated just right to prevent the chills. During the massage, the conversation was kept to a minimum which is really appreciated (nothing like a chatty Cathy masseuse to kill a relaxing massage)... other than telling me to relax in the beginning and later a reminder to keep breathing (I tend to forget), only other words were to make sure I was doing okay and to tell me when to flip over. Kenji's strong hands along with his knowledge and technique for his art had me leaving the table feeling like a wet noodle. I'm seriously considering booking another appointment before I have to fly back to SoCal, but guaranteed I will be including a visit every time I come back to Hawai'i. read more

I was such a stress ball when I walked into this place, I had my shoulders up by ears and my lower back was so stiff I could barely bend over without severe discomfort. I circled so many problem areas on the questionnaire I had doubts he would time to hit them all. But he worked out several muscle groups at the same time with excellent technique which meant perfect time management! Parking is $2 at Eaton square garage if you get your ticket validated. The space is next door to purple yoga and is simple but clean and cozy. The prices are unbeatable and the service is more than what I've gotten from more expensive places like turtle bay. I get massages on a regular basis. I was in the area for work, and decided to try this place out on a whim. THE best massage I have ever gotten. Hands down. No question. I have never felt so relaxed and so comfortable. I got a 90 minute massage, the massage therapist, thought it was a 60 minute massage. So when he said we were all done, I didn't even question it because I was THAT relaxed. He left the room then a few minutes later, he knocked and, after making sure I was decent, he came in and apologized. I said I would finish the session up and so he continued. The office is small and no frills, but it is clean and the staff friendly (but not too friendly if you know what I mean). The quality of Kenji's massage was fantastic. I only had to walk 4 min from Hilton Hawaiian Village. I had very specific limitations for where I can be massaged and with how much pressure -- Kenji listened to every request and was perfect -- his 19 years of experience are evident. Amazing massage from Anika! I loved her bubbly personality and she is just so good at finding the knots and tight spots. I felt so pampered and healed from the inside out. The place is relatively easy to find even for a tourist like me. I regret that I am going home otherwise this would have been my regular place for therapeutic massages! The entire building is quiet and from the parking lot you walk past a koi pond so you can get in the right frame of mind for relaxing and zen.
