The driver was very nice and got my car to me in good time for Friday rush hour traffic. The towing guy parks his ass across from the street to wait and watch people leave their car so he can tow it, lock it up, and charge you $150+ (intentionally takes the long route and charges you the maximum rates per state law), screw this company. We are very pleased with the service we got from Honolulu Towing. Our car stalled and would not start so we called Geico for towing service. We had to call HT directly to update our location and the woman I spoke to was friendly and helpful. Initially, they said we would have to wait an hour but she was able to give me an ETA and they arrived within half an hour. Billy was the driver and he was also super friendly, quick and informative. Also, their tow truck is awesome! I would definitely use this company again...but let's hope I don't have to! :) read more

My car straight up died on the side of kalanianaole on a really hot sunny day. My insurance company called honolulu towing to come get me. They texted me immediately with a time estimate and a number to reach them. When I called they answered right away and updated me on the driver's status. The driver, Billy, called to let me know he hit some traffic, but still made it before the estimated time. His truck was nice and air-conditioned and he was really friendly, offering me advice about different auto shops in the area. All in all, it was the best experience I can imagine from such a lousy situation. read more

This review is to state about the rudeness of the workers here. A car was mistakenly towed from the visitor parking with a visitor pass. The towing company did not see the visitor pass on the back dashboard of the car and towed it in the middle of the night. Upon calling they first claimed that condo security had called in to have the car removed. Our condo does not have a security worker. Then they claimed that the car was towed because the pass was not on front dashboard and was on the back dashboard instead, stating that the contract is for passes on front dashboard only (will not provide said contract). The attitude of the manager was that even though the contract is between the condo owners and the car company, they have no intentions of taking 2 extra seconds to check the back for a visitor pass as it is not in said contract (again never provided). The manager stated that they are not responsible in doing anything beyond what the contract states even if it is for the benefit of the condo owners which are the one they are supposed to be providing the services for. We will be discontinuing our contract with this towing company and will be looking for another company to replace them due to their poor attitudes. Please see this review as a warning for those who are considering them for your condo or apartment complex. read more

I got a tow from Honolulu Tow through roadside assistance with Geico. Willie picked me up. He said that he was previously a mechanic, so I told him what happened with my car, and he offered some advice on what could be wrong. He even took the time to take a quick look at it for me. He hooked my car up quickly, and chose the fastest, shortest route to my chosen mechanic, which was on the other side of the island from where he picked me up. This was much appreciated, we all know what traffic is like going through town on a weekday. Other than the fact that my car needed to be towed in the first place, I had nothing but a good experience. Willie was friendly and helpful and I would use Honolulu Tow again in the future (though I'm hoping I don't need to!). read more

This review is long overdue..I have had to use this company multiple times just in the past 6 months alone. I can honestly say that each time they towed my car their already great service improved. (which I really didn't think was possible) I am new to Hawaii and not too familiar with my surroundings so having to get my car towed was stressful for me. I have had to use other tow companies before and not to talk about another company but (they were terrible) because of my past experiences I honestly didn't know what to expect. Well the great experience I had with Honolulu Towing has completely changed my outlook on tow truck companies. I owe that to the driver..fortunately for me I was lucky enough to have the same driver two out of the three times I had to have my car towed..his name's Willie, I never really had the chance to thank him for taking such great care of my car and making me feel comfortable but most importantly safe. I was in a rush to get back to Work each time so I rushed off instead of making sure he knew how grateful I was. Each time he towed my car he was quick, safe, polite, funny and so respectful. The best part I think is his truck was probably the cleanest tow truck I've ever seen which made things even more comfortable for me. My husband had some work to do on his boat at heeia pier and was running the truck hard all day. At 9pm it suddenly started to overheat. He was able to finish the work and get the boat home but at 11pm he was stuck at the pier no tow and I wasn't about to leave it overnight in the empty pier parking lot. At 1130pm I drove down to help him out with my 2 year old in tow. On my way there I was on the phone with the insurance company who told me there was no one in my area available this late. Just so happened I passed a tow truck at the gas station on my way out to the pier and I read "HONOLULU towing inc". I gave the insurance company their name and by the time she tracked down the company the driver was already almost home in his warm bed in Kalihi. He turned around and was there in less then the quoted time. Had our truck hooked up and delivered to the mechanics shop in Kaneohe before I could load my sleepy husband in the truck and give him couple ears full. Thanks Arthur for saving the day and our truck. Cause for sure the truck would of been gondies if we left it overnight at the pier. These guys were awesome, very quick...so thankful! read more

GEICO had this contractor tow our car and the driver was the best at what he does. It can't be easy being a tow truck driver but this driver was respectful and sincere. He gave us a lot of helpful information like how to protect our car if it gets towed by another company. We were worried that our car would get some damage on the way home, but he lifted our whole car and had it relocated without touching the road. He backed our car in one try onto our driveway and was done. No one ever wants to have to get towed, but when you do, it seems you can trust this company just based on this driver. The absolute worse service ever & about 1 of the scariest events in my life. I waited for over an hour at the front desk to get my car. I was the only person at the desk & Michelle would not help me at all. She stayed on the phone the whole time I was at the desk. I then asked the 5 guys in the back could they help me but they just laughed & said I must have did something for her not to help then walked off. After about another 20 minute wait still being the only person at the desk Michelle finally acknowledged me. I paid $242.50 for 1 night then waited another 10 minutes before able to go get my car. Next 1 of the tow truck drivers started to yell at me to move my other car but I wasn't able to move because another car was in front of me. Last after checking my car I noticed they took all the spare change. As a single mother it is hard to get by & to steal from me & my kids is just low. Car towed & you stole the last little bit of change we had like really. I've never felt so out of place before in my life. I totally understand blacks are not so welcomed here but goodness even without me doing anything at all why be so rude still. I know this is a tow company not paid off likes but it doesn't hurt to still treat people like actual people. I cried the whole ride home after this. read more

Okay first off, the location is ridiculous. How do you own a towing company with no space to put the cars that you tow? Cheap asses! Second, their customer service is unsatisfactory. I spoke to a Tye or Kae, I couldn't really make out her name but whatever the hell that female scum's name was, she was the most disrespectful & uneducated person that I've ever spoke to. My thing is, I get that you have to do your job & tow cars but if that car is worth 10x the salary that you make, then at least be considerate & do your job properly so that you don't cause any damage to the vehicle. It was a typical workday for me driving all around but this day I had my car full of staging items driving from one listing in Kaneohe to another in Ewa Beach. Lo and behold, my car started slowing down as I was making my way up H3 almost to the Harano Tunnel. I had to pull over into the shoulder lane while passing cars, trucks, buses, and flat beds all whizzed by me. Frantically, I called my husband to let him know but he couldn't rescue me since he was at work but he could help me call to get a tow truck. All in all, between the two of us calling, we called about 5 tow truck companies before getting in touch with Dayna at Honolulu Towing who had the fastest response time and sent a truck within 40 minutes! I think she knew my nerves were shot after sitting there on H3 and trying to get help! I know timing and availability does play a role however, I told her how nervous I was sitting there so she "pulled" one of her trucks out of rotation to get me out of that predicament as soon as she could! I give this company a one star because the Ladies in the office arent very pleaseant, especially the old lady. I told her I felt responsible for the car being towed and if I could pay the fee before the owner came to pick up her car and she rudely told me no right after giving me a look as if she was judging me first before she answered. The lady who i had to pay $160 to said i had an attitude problem just cause i sat in my car for under 30 seconds looking at my gps to figure out how to get home.
