DO NOT HIRE. I spoke to Sarah (owner?), booked three movers, roughly a week in advance. They were scheduled for 9am. At 8:30am, the morning of, I received a call from a guy saying he was the one driving the crew and had blown a tire. They would be several hours late. I told him that would not work, and that I would call Sarah. She did not answer. Minutes later, someone else calls me and offers to show up, with his crew... As per my request, on their way over, they stopped at Lowes to pick up wrapping tape, because they were heading over with no supplies!! They showed up at 12pm. No moving supplies, aside from the tape the bought on their way over. They and no idea what they were doing. I provided moving blankets, yet furniture was brought out without being wrapped, until I insisted. They clearly had no moving experience!! And I never did hear back from Sarah. They charged me $10 less an hour, than what I was quoted, but insisted that I pay their travel fee. !!! One of the movers, used his wallet as a door stop. And forget it in our vacant apt!! We had to arrange with building management to retrieve his wallet, because we had vacated the premisses !!! read more

I asked for 4 movers, they sent two. I asked them to not move my hutch. They moved it and broke it and will not pay to have it fixed. THEY ARE NOT INSURED. read more

Overall I had a good experience. The movers arrived 2 hours late (due to their previous job took longer than expected). It can be frustrating when your movers arrive late and you are moving and trying to coordinate other things. However, they called right away to let me know they'd be arriving late. Once they arrived, they did a great job and worked quickly and took care of moving my furniture and other items safely. I would hire Hood To Coast again since the movers were fast and efficient. However, I think that whoever schedules the jobs for the movers should allow more time between jobs so that the movers can get to each job site on time. read more

I simply cannot recommend this company. They left me high and dry and I am going to have to pay for an extra day for the rented truck. I scheduled a move with Sarah, who said she was the owner, Thursday afternoon for a 9am Saturday move. She said there would be no problem getting the two man team for my short 3.5 mile move from Dundee to Newberg . . . my scheduled truck rental would work out. I asked if she wanted my credit card but she indicated that it was not necessary, the movers would take the information at the end of the move. I picked up the the rented truck late Friday so that it would be right there in the morning. No one showed up. I called the Hood to Coast office at 9:35 asking "where are the movers?". The man who answered sounded like he was working off of the day's schedule and recognized that the movers were 40 minutes late. He was eager and began scrambling to help. He spoke with Sarah. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. I had a houseful of furniture ruined by their workers, who took 7 hours to complete a 4-hour move. On a couple of occasions, I came into the bedroom to find the movers lying on the bedroom floor. One of the movers was so enthralled with my son's bongos and swords, he stopped for a good 10 minutes to play the bongos, then picked up one of the swords and swung it around for a while. I just wanted to get my stuff moved, not operate a mover daycare. If this business has damaged your stuff or caused you inconvenience with their shady business practices, I would recommend you take them to small claims court. Don't be dissuaded by the fact that they're an LLC--that means you can only sue them for up to 10K. read more

Don't do it. My movers arrived over an hour late, wasted a bunch of time and took their first smoke break about 40 minutes in. When they arrived, we went on a quick tour. I showed them the two bags of furniture pads and entire household of blankets to be used to protect stuff during the move. They actually loaded the (unopened) bags of furniture pads! ALL of my furniture was damaged, a futon was broken in two, some items had bad gouges and they even managed to break a leg off my hard plastic platform bed frame. They did structural damage to the house I was moving out of, including breaking a doorknob- which I watched them do, they ran into it with a desk- cracking a door through the bracket so it no longer opened/closed properly- this happened because they didn't turn a large piece of furniture, instead pushing through and causing damages/ There were several gouges in door frames and a chunk taken out of the living room wall. When I contacted Sarah to discuss these issue, she pretty much called me a liar. She referenced things that were not at my location, like the two story house- i was in a ranch- and was extremely rude about the situation, saying without pictures there was no way to verify anything. I sent her a few along with a clarification of which house I moved out of. Her reply was that she was upset about a personal situation and had gotten confused, but that she could see something had happened after I sent pictures- including pictures of the unopened bags of furniture pads crammed in at the back of the truck. She said she would respond after getting answers from her team. She never did. Despite my attempts at follow up, she will not get back to me. Every time I look at my furniture I get cranky since it is all dark wood and the gouges and cracks stand out. II'm still trying to work out repairs with the people who bought my house.
