Looking for a quick lunch as I was going from north oxnard to south oxnard. Came in during the lunch rush, and man does this place get packed. People everywhere, line was at least 10 people deep, they had to go orders all lined up on the counter top, must have been at least 10 to go orders waiting for pick up. Lots of areas to sit at. You have the outdoor area, the main dining room area, and even a small booth area on the side. And good thing they had so much seating area, because the majority of the seats were taken!! Part of the backup was the cashier seemed new. He had to keep asking other people for helping working the register. I ordered their hook burger, evidently cheese on the burger is extra. Didnt know it would be extra, or I wouldn't have ordered cheese then.... Food was out in about 10 minutes. I had my burger with a side of sweet potato fries as well as a regular rootbeer. Total bill came out to $15.79!!! The burger was big, and the patty was tender, moist and juicy. Continually dripped juice as I was holding the burger. Unfortunately the juice dripping off did not translate to taste. It was good, but not 5 star good. Sweet potato fries tasted good. Nice crunch, tender and flaky inside. Pretty good. There was a thing of sauce. Didnt know what it was for... thought it was for the fries, but it was on the spicier end of things, so it definitely wasen't for the fries. Our staff came here for lunch today. It was my first time. We got a table right away. Food came out quickly because we all ordered salads. They were fresh, delicious and plentiful. We could only eat half...We were so impressed with our server Danny. He was right on top of things including offering refills, take out bags for our leftovers and keeping our table clean. The Cobb salad is packed with lots of fresh, yummy ingredients, including that avocado I'm always searching for lol. This salad makes me enjoy the fact that I'm eating a salad!! Has bacon , avocado, egg, blue cheese, & grilled chicken to name a few of my favorites. Food tasted great, customer service was awesome , and they even gave me complimentary onion rings because they made too many. It was my lucky day lol. Basic standards that should be implemented in any business but for some reason is always overlooked. A couple with a dog came in and asked if they can eat outside and the hostess immediately said yes & let them know she would turn the heater on for them as they looked over the menu inside. Ordered a Mushroom Burger, Bistro Club, The Trio & an Oreo Shake to share and everything was great. I'm grateful that a burger place has more than burgers. My dad and I split a Caprese chicken sandwich. It was pretty good though I couldn't see or taste the fresh mozzarella cheese. We also split an order of onion rings which were large and crispy. You order at the front counter, are given a pager, hope to find a table, and wait for your food to be delivered. Servers did come by every so often to see if we needed a refill on soda or water. When our food was delivered the server noticed that we were sharing so quickly brought another plate. This is not a place for quiet conversation with friends and family. It was very noisy inside. The parking lot was almost completely full when we arrived, we had to park near the Wells Fargo and my 90 plus year old dad refused to be dropped off in front and walked the whole way with me, but the lot had emptied out when we left.
