Great cig store! I come in often to buy e-cig juice. (I never saw them on the 'check-in' part of the Yelp app, so haven't checked in as of this review.) The employees are always very nice. Went into this shop to get some vape liquid and a new pod for my suorin air. First, he tried to upsell me by telling me that my vape was old, then he told me it would be $30 for a new pod. That's how much I spent on the whole unit! When he asked how much I pay normally and I told him $5, he scoffed and me and asked me how much is e-juice where I come from, $3? But see, I just checked the prices again. I do pay $5 for the pods at my shop in Portland and I can get them for even less online. I reluctantly bought some vape liquid. A couple days later, my suorin air broke and I didn't have what I need to fix it with me. I decided to buy a new device. I went somewhere else. You should too. read more

I had multiple bad encounters with this tobacco shop. I bought a pack of Dutch masters and I ended up throwing the whole pack away because they were so stale and dry! I went back to the store to buy a different pack and those were also very stale! This store is also selling over priced tobacco products and the man Behind the register said it was due to California increasing their taxes...which is absolutely BS. I called and the guy said they got it straight from the manufacturer. But when you go in the website the manufacturer says it's a knock off. The guy didn't care. I never write reviews, but feel compelled to share my experience at Hookah Valley yesterday. I have been coming here for years to purchase, cigars, smoke accessories and lotto tickets. While their prices are high, the convenient location and friendly staff made up for it. A couple of weeks ago I purchased a vape battery from Hookah Valley which didn't work. Today I needed to purchase lotto tickets, so I decided to take the defective vape battery back to them. I'm a very polite, understanding and diplomatic person. I explained the issue to the gentleman at the counter and much to my surprise he told me that it was my loss and that their was nothing he was going to do for me. I calmly and casually told the gentleman that I was disappointed that they don't stand behind the products they sell and that in the future I would purchase my products from someone else that does. I then go to pay for my lotto tickets that he already printed, and he says no I'm not going to sell them to you. As I was walking out, I could hear the gentleman standing in line behind me tell the clerk that he was very rude to me and that he should have sold me the lotto tickets. Based upon other yelp reviews, it seems like I'm not the only one that has had a poor experience returning defective merchandise. read more
