We arrived on a Saturday at 6:30pm and it we arrived with ample parking in the paid parking lot right next to the structure. There were plenty of open seats when we arrived. The hookah welcomes BYOB and offers access to the menu from the bar next door Ling provided super star service from start to finish. She made sure to ID check us all as well as explain the menu and hookah prices. They offer an hourly rate with sub category rates for add ons . We got both the Northern lights and Double ds for the flavors which ling was happy to suggest base on our preferences. We also go the ice option for an additional $10 one time fee for the session The seating areas accommodate large and small parties and they create a chill ambiance with a playlist that boasts good music tastes. They provide tips for each guest and overall have good sanitation practices! Whether you need to get away by yourself or join some friends away from your typical Honolulu activities this is the spot for you! I visited Hookahookah a few times during vacation in Honolulu. There isn't much competition being that Hawaii has very few hookah spots. However, I was pretty impressed by the experience in comparison to lounges in the continental US. The ambiance is pretty standard. There's ample seating with a great playlist on the speakers. Bathrooms could have definitely used better cleaning. The owner was very friendly during each visit. My friend is very particular regarding how well the tobacco is packed; this place got it spot on and almost every time. The one time the tobacco needed an adjustment, they were very accommodating and got it done quickly. Pricing is pretty standard, around $30 per hookah. Hookahookah adds an enjoyable element to the night life in Hawaii. Very few spots besides nightclubs are open later, so this lounge makes a more relaxing lowkey environment. Even though there's not much comparison, I'd still recommend this spot as someone who's tried quite a number of hookah spots over the years. read more

Update to Business Manager's response: Dear Mike..my name isn't Karen...but you are definitely a Ken. I handed my cards over, but never got started on the service. There was nothing to charge.... If I'd had a bill....the tall blonde guy wouldn't have handed my cards back to me so readily/easily. I was there 15-20 minutes and I never got started with the hookah session...the tall blonde came and took my order...but I never started smoking, as the mix I had ordered never made it over to me....none of your product/supply had even been burned....I didn't even open the mouthpiece. And it was your staff that claimed the system was down...not me. So were they lying or not?? Those customers were standing there waiting to pay. I'm not anyone's hero, nor do I run a cookie business. I own a 5 star (Yelp rated) business, A+ Better Business Bureau Member for 5 years straight....and true to form you've responded in an unprofessional/ unpleasant manner.I'm here on business...and I don't serve cookies. If I was a Karen....I would've recorded the incident. And if the $14 was of no consequence....why'd your staff accept it? I came there alone...looking to chill. That wasn't my experience, it wasn't what I witnessed....and you haven't made it any better. I didn't ask them what their bill was....as it wasn't my business....I just watched the foolishness unfold. Maybe in the future...after a certain time of day...put a sign up that says CASH ONLY....easy. And your place has more than one 1-star review. DO NOT GO!!!! I just witnessed staff trying to hold another customer group's ID/ charge cards....because the establishments card system was down. Not a fault of either customer in the group....the staff ran 3 cards....even went to another space to "try" to charge the cards.....then staff told the customers in that group they would have to pay cash or let them take pictures of the charge cards....before they could leave. Then the staff realized that it was, indeed, their system....and no fault of any customer in the group. One of them ran across the street, to get cash in the rain.....and were still told they were $20 short. When in fact....the group should have been given a 50% discount for the sheer inconvenience and the card # could've been manually inputted and the customer would've have still gotten a receipt. You know how I know.....I use the exact same POS system and you are able to make offline transactions....just in case something is wrong with the system. I never got to start my hookah experience, for watching that one. I then put up a little cash, so this group could get their ID/cards back. It's clear or seems like the staff was trying to pull a fast one. I asked for my cards back right away and ordered an Uber. I called back and spoke to the staff....he told me wifi was not down...and informed him that could've been handled differently, and better than that. He invited me back....but he never apologized to the other customers. Staff also hookah'd more than the seated customers. Whoever owns this place needs to refine/overhaul their business practices and protocols. TERRIBLE SERVICE...and staff just acted like it wasn't a big deal to inconvenience customers....in that way. Needs to be shut down....if they cannot do any better. Upon reading some of the 1 star reviews...and the business manager's response to them....he has a habit of blaming the offended customers for the bad experiences they've had. I'm here to tell you....business manager....I didn't smoke anything before arriving at your hookah spot....and yes the space is filthy inside and out....full trash bags sitting outside the side door....I wasn't there long enough to use the restroom. I got a chance to visit this place on my vacation to Hawaii and it left a satisfying impression on me. Overall, the appearance of the place wasn't really anything to brag about. I was expecting a better presentation. But the hookah was really good (getting the ice pack) perfects your hookah and makes it last longer. We went inside and were told they'd redeem the Groupon at the end. We sat down and ordered only to find out they served no alcohol. While my husband went across the street to 7-eleven, I attempted to use the restroom. BAD IDEA! It was the most disgusting public restroom I've ever encountered and I opted not to use it. While we both enjoy hookah, we couldn't stay long cuz it was so hot in there. Apparently they only have a few vents... and no fans blowing. Employee told us its $25 to smoke then after a hour ur next bowl is free and so on. Sounded too good to be true.Then after we asked for the next bowl after the hour. Smoked for like 30 minutes. Then he charges us half the price for the refill saying we charge $25 per hour... the way he said it in the beginning was completely different from the point of leaving. You need to be more upfront about payment. Because what you said at the ending did not match up with what you said at the beginning. The bowl was ok.
