I went here for lunch for the first time with my daughter. She ordered fried calamari. I asked if we could have more of the body and not so many of the tentacles. The young girl said it is pre portioned and they don't have a lot of the tentacles. It was awful. You couldn't even tell unless you looked really close. It was all stuck together, fried. There were about 3 pieces of the body the rest we threw out. I should have sent it back but did not want to embarrass my daughter. Save your money and get something else. read more

Quickly stopped into a new place to find out it was completely worth it! The house salad is to die for and my poke bowl was amazingly fresh and so so so delicious. Their fish tacos are made with grilled mahi mahi and came with their unique slaw (super crunchy) and a mayo with a slight kick inside a warm grilled tortilla. I found a fly or mosquito fried into one of their French fries. The following is an email exchange with the owner: "Hi there, I'd like to let you know about the experience we had earlier today for lunch. We ordered a lobster roll, half a dozen oysters, a beer, and a side of fries. Everything was ok - although the oysters all had broken bits of shells in them - but one of our French fries had, what looked like, a small mosquito or fly fried into it. We aren't too squeamish about things like this, so we pointed it out to one of the food runners and she took the fry inside. A few minutes later the cook came out to see us. He proceeded to say, "Do you know how many fries I put in the frier every minute? Hundreds." and "We don't peel potatoes here, they come frozen in a bag. Whatever that was came from Idaho. So it's not my fault." He actually came outside to confront us and tell us it's not his fault. He then added a cursory "Do you want anything else?" I was pretty shocked and didn't have much of an appetite after that, so we declined. I work in hospitality and thought that the entire interaction was very off-putting. As you are marketed as a small family owned establishment I thought you would want to know." The owner's response: "Thanks for letting me know about your visit to my restaurant today. I am sorry you had a bad experience. Yes, we are a small family run business and take our pride in our food and service. We are only in our second year of operation and are just getting established. I will be sure to speak to the cook about this and find out what happened. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and please consider visiting us again and hope you will have a more pleasant experience." My follow-up: "Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. Is it in your business practice to not refund customers who find foreign objects in the food you serve? " And the owner: "I want everyone to leave happy and satisfied, preferably with a full stomach. It is not a common occurrence for a foreign object to be found in our food and most of my customers leave here happy. A refund would be a last unfortunate resort. Thanks again for the feedback. Hooked is a terrific owner/chef restaurant that offers outdoor seating or take home. The staff are soooo friendly. This is the most economically priced eatery as well as being one of the best for families. The food is always fresh and the portions are very fair. The lobster roll is filled with lobster and less salad --- my family's favorite. The fish tacos are delicious. The Mahi mahi dinners are on a huge bed of salad. The lobster bisque and clam chowder are freshly made each day and filled with their respectively named shell fish. Their house salad is huge and delicious. We have NEVER been disappointed. We had gone all season and always walked out with big smiles! They are closing for the season, but we will DEFINITELY be there often again next season. Hope to see you there! read more

I stopped in and took a look at the menu. Good selection and reasonable prices. Although we had already eaten elsewhere and had other food for later, (big hero's and chicken from Herb's Market) I ordered a poke bowl to go. Well, it took appx 15 minutes to get it! Way too long of a wait I was getting impatient. Everything is cold in a poke bowl. My suggestion: pre make and put them in your "to go" fridge!.
