Became a big fan of Guinness after a trip to Ireland but the cans I was getting from the grocery store weren't cutting it for me. The location is a bit random and I've probably passed this place a hundred times without realizing it, but it's a great place to get good, cheap alcohol. The Guinness is poured correctly, the music is a vibe, and they have a live band weekly that is definitely a lot of fun. It can get rowdy, so if that's not your scene, maybe just grab one drink. Bartender is pretty cool too, but it's nice that he'll leave you alone if he can tell you're not into conversation.

Like if this place needs my review ... one can judge the place from its cover. At least in San Diego! If you aren't sure whether gaslamp came first or the Blarney, welcome to my think tank. To help you narrow down the search to a fine Irish pub that hosts The Fooks, this is the place.

Betsy the bartender is amazing... not only gorgeous but attentive and hard working. The prices are great and the drinks are strong. Would highly recomend!!

Great little hole in the wall bar that you'd never find unless you know the area or Google "bars near me" while at Target. Of course, my reason is the latter pleasantly surprised to find this place. AMI too. If you know, you know

    Shenanigans.

Ask the Community - Blarney Stone Pub

Can i bring out food? Can i reserve a table?

Hello, we definitely welcome outside food, we do not serve food. Depending on how big your party is and what other events we might have going on, we are occasionally open to setting aside tables for larger groups. I would just call ahead of time.

We had a house full of 12 people who came over for a BBQ and then went to see a great Irish band called The Fooks.

I also noticed they offer a complimentary entrée on the Thursday of your birthday week, which honestly made it the perfect excuse to go. There's a ton of seating options here. You can sit inside, outdoors by the fire pit, or in one of several different rooms. Our server was awesome, really attentive, and had great recommendations. I ordered: * Steak & Shrimp: this came over mashed potatoes with a side of spinach. The steak was huge, cooked perfectly, and seasoned really well. Everything on the plate was delicious. We hung out by the fireplace, had some drinks, and just enjoyed the vibe. They also run great weekly specials. I believe Tuesdays are buy one burger, get one free, and Thursdays they have $7 smashburgers that looked massive when I walked by. Overall, this place has a really fun, welcoming energy. My friend from Scotland tried the Guinness and approved, which says a lot. It's surprisingly hard to find a good Guinness in the States, and they nailed it here. Definitely will be back.

She did not have much work to do as the bartender helped us and most of the people who were also at the bar. We ordered a Guinness and my roommate had the Shepard's Pie (which he devoured) and I had the Dublin burger which was tasty. We ordered another round of Guinness to wait out the rain and because,... Guinness. Staff was friendly, we bought the bar tender a Shephard's Pie as he said he never tried it before, though he had worked there for over a year. I hope he liked it as it came after we left. Only dig on the place is that the prices are a bit high. They do have some good specials and happy hour for those who want to give this place a try and save a few bucks.

I hate leaving questionable reviews.. but also feel when we researched places we didn't get an accurate story. This is a true neighborhood pub.. the place you come so everybody knows your name. Which I love and can appreciate. But as an outsider it was kinda chaotic instead. A bartender came to clean a table for us. The largest grossest bugger hanging out of his nose, he had sweat marks so large there was no need to lift his arms to see them. He proceeded then to do shots at the bar with costumers. Which again... I totally can appreciate having a good time in a good neighborhood pub. The floors were so dirty around the booths. The menus dirty. Just over all couldn't stay and eat here. Did get some good laughs watching a few very inebriated customers, had some good drinks and went on our way. We personally wouldn't come back, but again if you live in the neighborhood and it's just that place you come to for your hang with friends, it's looks like it's a fun place.

I thought it was kinda weird but did so. Then the fireplace spins around into a speakeasy. It's the coolest bar I've ever been to and I immediately sent a video to my buddies of the fireplace spinning around into the bar. The beer selection is limited but the cocktail list is lengthy. So I got a amor picante and English brown ale. Both were pretty tasty, the bartenders or more like mixologists and know what they're doing. That's this critic's review.

Right away when we arrived I noticed that the flooring on the revolving fireplace looked like it needed to be replaced. I shrugged it off thinking they needed light weight materials for the revolving floor entrence. But I didn't think it was a good look for what is supposed to be a swanky exclusive vibe and being the first thing you really see. ( First impressions are important) Despite having made a reservation, we were seated directly between the revolving entrence and the exit, in the two coolest looking but most uncomfortable chairs. They were not practical at all for sitting and conversing a in a loud environment. That corner, in my opinion, should be reserved for the hostess and not for guest. Initially we thought these chairs were a quick stop before being moved to some of the other available sitting at the bar or around the perimeter we could clearly see when we came in. We asked, and where told those were our seats. No offer was made to be moved. We did not get a server to come to us until after we had placed our drink order with one of the hostess, about 20min after we were seated. Our server was very nice and polite. No issues there, just took long to get to us. The drinks were disappointing. Forgettable to say the least. We ordered one of there menu items and a Moscow mule. We were sad to see the Moscow mule served in a glass you might normally get a mojito in ... it wasn't served in a copper cup. As we sat there and looked at the place, we both thought the ambiance and decor was nice. However we were surprised to see so many people looked very underdressed considering they have a "smart casual" dress code, completely destroyed the whole swanky exclusive vibe. Lots of men in shorts and both men and women in flip flops. I also noticed the flooring inside the speakeasy had similar wear and scuff marks, as on the fireplace. The need to update their flooring and the amount of underdressed guest did not help project the vibes that they are going for. This really felt like a fast food (drinks) chain in any mall. Sadly I would not recommend, do to the drinks not being all that good, the service was mediocre, the "vibe" and experience they sell fall short.
