I came here for St Patricks day and Im sorry to say that it was not a good experience. Dive bar is not even appropriate to categorize as- it was just chaos. Tons of people 1 bartender trying to hold it down and long wait time. You would think they would be prepared for a day like that. The beer is tinted with green food coloring. We got 1 beer and some fish and chips. The place is small so we had to go downstairs. Once there- there was a sewer smell coming from the back end of the room it was disgusting. We had to move. The food arrived after a long time and asking the staff when the food would be ready and it was also pretty bad. Stale oil taste and burnt browned fish. We left after that and don't plan to be back. Don't even get me started on the bathroom it was dirty, sticky and lewd comments written every where. read more

I enjoyed my fish and chips! Very nicely fried cod. Thick cut of fish yet thoroughly fried. The "chips" were not the thicker cut that I expected from an Irish pub, nevertheless the fries were very tasty. The fact that they heavily peppered the fries made it extra tasty. The coleslaw had a little kick of mustard and I liked that. The bar area had a couple of people debating (more like yelling) while intoxicated. I didn't expect that on a Saturday afternoon. Ha! I waited 10 mins just for a single beer and the lady that was bartending was not doing a great job and was super unprofessional. I didn't know you can get wasted as a bar tender and slur your words to customers! Then she eventually not only drunk as hell but then proceeded to ask the dishwasher/cook to start bartending cause she didn't know what she was doing so he stepped in (the guy in the picture in the background) it came to the point where she was getting mad and arguing because we kept asking him to help us cause she wasn't doing her job ! And better yet the cook even had to tell the customer next to us that bought a burger that he gave the bartender the burger to hand out and she gave it to someone else because of how drunk she was. Very unprofessional and would not recommend this bar unless you want poor service! Also not to mention if you get ice at this bar you are probably getting used ice of dirty hands in your ice cubes because she proceeded to fill a glass with ice with her hand and then dump it back in which made no sense. Review is solely for the drinks from the bar and fries. The drinks pack a punch and since it's a pandemic they are served in to go cups. The fries were super delish, thick cut and fresh with freaky cracked pepper. The service was great and there's a pool table and restrooms available. Few people stood inside near the bar as others situated outside at the tables and or on the wooden deck in front of the establishment. This is the perfect spot for people watching and it's a short walk or scooter ride to DOCO (shopping mall and other restaurants). Super easy to social distance and wear a mask. read more

It had an appealing lunch menu (which was allergy friendly to me), a kids menu (which was good cause our 5 year old son was with us) and beer (which appealed to the men in our party). We entered to find only 3 tall tables, two of which were occupied. We scored the last available table. We were greeted with a friendly hello when we entered, promptly given menus. They took our drink order - two beers, one water and one iced tea. It actually took a while for them to come back and take our lunch order. I was hangry but patient- as there was only one bartender helping to serve drinks and a bunch of people sitting at the bar and coming into the Pub. The friendly bartender/waiter took our order. Our food was cooked and served in a reasonable amount of time. Our Lunch Order: Two Beers One Iced Tea Corned Beef Cabbage and Potatoes (5/5) French Dip (5/5) Pub Burger (5/5) Kids Meal- corn dog and fries (5/5) The food was outstanding- it was simply delicious. My corned beef was tender and flavorful along with the potatoes and cabbage. The others in our party enjoyed their french dip, burger and corn dog. The fries were so good- they were thick cut, fried to perfection. They also have a pool table in the back if you're so inclined to play. A bar that was petty empty when we arrived then packed as we were midway through our meal. The only drawback to O'Mally's is the inside is small- but the customer service, food and beer is totally legit. They also have filtered water - some of the restaurants in this little downtown area their water smells bad and unfiltered. If you're in the area- this is a great spot for lunch and a beer! This is one of the worst bars i've been to. Majority of times i've used the restrooms here they were repulsive. They had these fly traps hanging by the toilets full of dead flies and the urinals are gross. This is definitely the bottom of the barrel when it comes to bars. read more

We frequent here after concerts/events at the Golden 1 to miss the Uber wait time. It's definitely good for strong drinks and people watching, mainly kids. Most the bartenders are amazing. There is a pool table but it's hard to get on. Attempted to try the wings but they were awful. If looking for food, go to Fanny Ann's down the street. read more

This bar is *unsurprisingly* homophobic. Came here a couple weeks ago with my partner, his cousin, and his cousins boyfriend. We were turned away by the bouncer at around 10:30 pm for being two gay couples. Full story below, but bouncer pretty much alluded to not needing a reason to turn us away. We drove in from SF and cooked dinner at my partners cousins, had one drink before we decided to go to a couple low key bars and try to swing a last minute night out together. At the previous bar we waited an hour for fried pickles and had ONE drink. On the way out, a group of large, biker looking men walked by us, one of which proceeded to stare and even turn around while going up stairs to give us a dagger type look. I understood we were in Old Town Sac and not SF and us being queer POC probably would piss some people off for no real reason. We walk up to O'malley's and the bouncer is joking with a girl and her boyfriend about whether or not he can tell if her ID is actually her because in her photo she's wearing glasses and she wasn't wearing them now. "How do I know it's the same person?" he joked. The couple laughed, and as we stood to the side while waited, the men from the last bar walked right in without needing ID, literally fist bumped the bouncer and leaned into his ear and said something to him before he patted him on the shoulder and went in. After 3 mins of banter with this girl and her ID, the bouncer asks my partners cousin (first in line) how much he's had to drink tonight. Clearly sober, and after watching his playful conversation being the person he is, he jokingly listed bottles and an excessive amount of drinks and shots. The bouncer said his reason was because he didn't take him seriously. Which as soon as it was apparent he was asking seriously, he gave an accurate response of 2 whole drinks in a 4 hour period. One while we cooked dinner, and one at the bar previously. He turned us away and told us "your friend is clearly too drunk and he's not coming in". We were completely taken back and after asking the real reason we weren't admitted he told us we should take bouncers questions seriously instead of "acting stupid with them". Confused because didn't he just act stupid for an entire 3 minutes because a girl had glasses on and her ID indicated glasses? I asked him if it was a safe assumption that he assumed it was a playful conversation to which he acted surprised at and contradicted himself by saying "What makes you think a bouncer is playful?" Um, idk. The three minutes of giggles and jokingly hardass approach to glasses being needed to drive on an ID proceeding us? The fact that maybe you're not guarding Guantanamo Bay or fucking Rikers Island, and actually an empty bar with what looked like 10 people inside? My partners cousin said he had been there several times over the last few years, but when I asked, he realized he had never been in the leopard print button down he was wearing, and never with another couple. His attitude in the way he explained his reasoning seemed disingenuous and as if he needed no reason. He explained in a half-assed tone, and kind of seemed conflicted to say and alluded to the fact that we weren't getting in because he didn't feel like letting us in. I hope that being 2021, regardless of anyone's ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation that they'd be able to go to a pub being authentically themselves but apparently it's more that we've evolved to let bullshit like this roll off our backs and partially accept it as normal just as we do accept it's a thing that someone may shout the n word at me on the street or call us fag*ots just because we're holding hands. Which has happened in SF and OC more often than you can imagine. read more
