Hooligan's Grog & Gruel is located in the How To Train Your Dragon-Isle of Berk, in Epic Universe! Pretty limited food options in Epic Universe but Universal has very good food, compared to Disney (in my opinion). Saw this spot on social media & the cones looked so good, so we knew we had to try it while we were at this park. We got one dragon fire chicken spire cone (comes w/ Mac & cheese) & the Nashville style pulled chicken cone (hot honey, chimichurri, & crispy onions). There was no wait time for ordering & food was premade, ready to eat immediately haha. So, I would say definitely nothing gourmet & it was more-so warm in temp., BUT it had great flavor & was honestly very good for park food. A bit expensive (~$15-$19/cone). I would get this again, the next time I find myself in Epic Universe !

I tried the classic Mac and cheese cone and I liked it. I thought the little goldfish crackers went pretty well with the Mac and cheese. The bread cone itself was fine and went well with the Mac and cheese. But I wasn't really wowed by it and by the end felt a little disappointed. I think it's a little overhyped. If you get a drink here, don't expect to get a lid or a straw. I found that a little odd, but I guess it's to cut back on waste. The employees were nice and the ambiance of the park is cool. If you want to try to the Mac and cheese cones, I say go ahead you'll probably like it.

Located on your left side after entering how to train your dragon's isle of berk @ epic universe! I was starving and seen this shop. We ordered snack bites to hold us over! We got the "Dragon Fire chicken spire" and the "Nashville chicken Hot" I wasn't honestly thinking it would be any good but i was wrong the bread wrap cone that they come in have plenty of seasoning, the chicken was not dry, and it was a good portion in a to-go style meal! The dragon fire comes with hearty mac and cheese! My Nashville hot chicken pull had great sauce! Not spicy for those spice intolerant! Chimichurri and crispy onions! Can't go wrong! Order up and keep it moving to get in line haha

Between Hooligan's Grog & Gruel and the Butterbeer crepe, I had some of the yummiest foods at my visit to Epic Universe! Hooligan's Grog & Gruel is located in the Isle of Berk in Universal Epic Universe. It's right between the Viking Training Camp and the dragon racing hub of Dragon Racer's Rally. I ended up stopping by Hooligan's Grog & Gruel around 12:00 P.M on a Sunday. There was a line, but I didn't wait too long to place my order, around 15 minutes. The quick service stop has wood accents, rugged textures, and is themed from the Viking realm of How to Train Your Dragon! The main focus of this quick service dining establishment is the mac and cheese cones. There are a variety of different flavors you can choose from. I ended up just getting the standard Mac N Cheese Cone with a non refillable soda. If you're looking for covered eating areas, there is a section near Spit Fyre Grill next to the Untrainable Dragon show. The Goldfish Mac & Cheese Cone was scrumptious. There was plenty of creamy mac and cheese inside it. It was topped with Goldfish crackers and at the base of the cone had extra Goldfish too! The outside bread used was amazing! It was crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. It had a garlic bread taste with sesame seeds coated on the outside of the bread. It was delicious. I can't wait to go back to Epic Universe to get this snack again. It was soo good!

Located in the Berk area of Epic Universe at Universal in Orlando, FL. This was excellent. Mac and cheese inside their garlic bread... awesome combination. Less awesome - the line took a while and their servers didn't know the exact nature of allergens, so it took another chef coming over from another location to come by, and they made ours fresh to ensure no issues with the allergies, so that was nice. I didn't know what to think of the Snoggletog but it was a delightful mix - lots of turkey, lingonberry glaze (if you like cranberry and turkey, this goes for you), sweet potatoes, the chimichurri didn't really show through, and the stuffing crumbles. It was in a beautifully delicious garlic buttered bread holder... awesome idea. Worth coming back for, yes, but not at peak season... ticket would be too expensive just for this!

$17.99 Dragon Fire Chicken Spire - Phenomenal

OMG! The best snack I've ever had at a theme park! I can't belive how good this thing is. It's spicy, meaty, cheesy, and pops with flavor! I got the $17.99 Dragon Fire Chicken Spire. I'm still in awe at how delicious thit this was. Sometimes the Internet comes through with their hype videos. This is without a doubt one of them. MUST TRY!

I saw this Mac n cheese cone online and heard it was viral, and just assumed it'd be this overhyped carb on carb dish. I was VERY wrong. This is a must at Epic universe. Super garlicky bread, well seasoned Mac n cheese, and a nice crunch from the goldfish. Truly a perfect blend I did not expect to work as well as it did.

I stopped by Hooligan's Grog and Gruel and went with the Mac & Cheese Bread Cone to accommodate my wife's vegetarianism. I was pleasantly surprised! The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and I loved the extra texture from the Goldfish sprinkled on top. What really stood out, though, was the bread cone itself; light, soft, and perfect for holding everything together. When you get that ideal bite with bread, mac & cheese, and Goldfish all at once, it's definitely a treat. I'm giving this spot 4 stars mainly because of the price. At $16+, it feels steep for what's essentially a snack, but I get that it's part of the theme park experience. If Yelp allowed half stars, I'd probably bump this up to 4.5. Overall, it's a fun, tasty option and I'd recommend grabbing one during your visit to Epic Universe.

    PB&J bread cone!!

Ever since Epic Universe announced their new food items there was always one that had all the influencer's feed lighting up, the Mac and cheese bread cones. At Hooligan's Grog and Gruel we ordered their PB&J (Pork, Bacon and jam). The pulled pork included bits of bacon and topped with a chopped parley sauce. The toppings were very flavorful and the cone was made of a garlic bread. A great snack and very mobile, the only problem with these snack is when you need to share.

    Snoggletog Harvest
    Taylor T.

This seasonal mac & cheese cone is a must try!!! The Snoggletog Harvest was a delicious Thanksgiving meal all in one cone! The creamy mac & cheese was very impressive and really enjoyed the maple glazed turkey. The spiced lingonberry drizzle gave it that perfect tanginess and sweetness like a cranberry sauce and the sage chimichurri made it very gourmet. I will say that I loved the mac & cheese and all the toppings so much that I feel that the cone itself was a lot of breading and took away from what I wanted most out of the food. If they offered the mac & cheese in a bowl, and not a bread cone, I would definitely get that every single time!!!! The service is quick because it's basically order, grab, and go. The theming of the restaurant/stand isn't as impressive as other places in the park, but it's also a quick place to get a bite to eat!

This is such a treat in epic. My biggest complaint was that they didn't give enough lionsberry sauce and turkey. I really enjoyed the macaroni but the bread was a complete miss for me. It's also a bit crowded around the front of the queue because of the people sitting down eating their cones. I think epic should invest in a few additional seat as I think people are afraid they may drop it. It's quite sturdy and I was able to walk and eat mine, however. Mind over Matter, I suppose.

Thanksgiving week was memorable at Epic Universe! Hooligan is located at Beck area. Lines can be long and know we know why. It's all about their Mac n cheese inside garlic bread! The toasted garlic bread is like a cone shape and they scooped Mac n cheese inside it, and top it with a couple of goldfish cheese crackers. Genius idea. The garlic bread is well-seasoned and not too garlicky. We came to Epic 2x during the week and both times, we came back for this delicious treat.
