Got here at lunch time, went in and sat at a table. Waited for more than 7 minutes, not one person said anything to me. Got up went to the bar as a seat opened. Still took a few minutes for her to take my drink order. Then ordered 10pc shrimp, 10 PCM naked wings, medium. Shrimp came out with no sauce, wings have taken forever to get here and now lunch is done. So crappy service followed by crappy food. Tonight I sat at the bar of the best Bartender in the Tampa Bay Area. A true maestro in the art of bartending. It was as if I was watching a flawless Prima Ballerina in her prime. She had 22 customers Inside & outside at her bar.(I counted twice) No one had an empty glass while she took orders, served food, took care of the service bar, stocked clean glasses, by herself AND made it look easy. Her name is Melissa! She deserves to be recognised for her excellence. I was there for 3 beers & 6 innings of the Rays game on a Tuesday night. I had the the Grouper Sand., cole slaw, some wings & curley fries. Everything was was excellent. This was my first time at this Hooters. Not worth your time. It's really sad to say because I expected more out of the original hooters location. The waitress wasn't good at paying attention to the table, and I received my food after everyone else had already eaten. Also when I talked to the manager she seemed annoyed with me saying something. Decided to stop by the original Hooters on a gloomy Saturday. I was told it would be a few minutes wait so I gave the greater my name. I never realized how poor service has become at this hooters. I went after work was seated at a table. The waitress comes up and ask what I would like to drink. I order sweet tea. She leaves and comes back with my drink then walks off before I can place my order. 10 minutes goes by, finally she's back. I place my order and several minutes go by, food comes so I eat. Then I finished the meal and am out of tea. Waitress is standing one table over shooting the shit with another customer. So I wait patiently. Finally she comes back and ask if I would like the check. I state, I would like to order a slice of cake and could I please get a refill on the tea. She leaves. 5 minutes goes by and she bring back cake, drops it off and before I can ask where is my tea, she is gone. So I set my stop watch and want to see how long this is going to take her this time. 17 mins for her too return. I can't eat the cake because I have nothing to wash it down with, lack of tea. So I tell her could I just get the check, she then states I can remove the tea from the bill. REALLY just the tea. She drops check and is gone again. I try the app to pay but it's not working, so I have to go to the front and get the female assistant manager to take care of this for me. The waitress then comes over to where I am paying the bill and attempts to hand me a to-go ice tea. By this time I just wanted to take the ice tea and pour it over her head. Started coming here regularly at the beginning of football season. Love the bartenders. All long tenured which adds a home like feel. Prices are AWESOME, where else can u get an extra shot of grey goose for $1.50 on a double drink. Food is typical for this typ e if venue. Hubby and I have been going here for years. It's a fun restaurant and I love that it's the original. The wings are fabulous, no doubt about it. Recently, they renovated the restaurant and it came out great. We really enjoy going here and always have great service. No complaints. read more

Where it all began surprised it made it to what it is now. When you go to Hooters you have high expectations so going to the Original was expecting to be blown away was not. Went there last Sunday. My husband and I were in the area, so we stopped by for some beer and wings. I've never been to that location before. It's nice and spacious with indoor and outside seating. We sat inside. Our server was nice and friendly and our pitcher of beer was brought in to us right away. Our food took forever to come out, though... We waited at least 25 minutes for 10 buffalo shrimp and 10 hot wings. Table next to us was seated after us and they got and were almost finished with their meal by the time ours arrived. The original and still my favorite. Wings are great and the burger more than adequate and the servers are always lovely and freindly. Add a cold beer and great sports screens and you've got the basics for success. Lunch is quick if you need it to be and dinner time is a "take your time and enjoy" pace. read more

This isn't the first time I have come here but both time I have had great experiences. The wings are great I definitely enjoyed them. Both time our waitresses have been great and always around when we needed something. The first time I came here it was before the remodeling of the store. I like the new updates everything seems more brighter and open. Seems bigger also, they have gotten a lot more TVs I think they where all LED TVs. I highly recommend you go as this is the original Hooters! The staff is friendly and the food is good. If you don't like your wings too greasy then order them with "no breading" and they still sauce them and you get a lot less fattening coating and grease. read more

Ok. So. I came here for the wings. I.m a big fan of wings (any kind) and I must say. This hooters has their wings together. Order the #1 original or the one spicy above it. I tried the garlic, the Thai, and the medium heat...but the original stole my taste buds! The texture was awesome in all of the wings. Perfectly cooked, bones falling off the chicken. I come here every Friday for office lunch. Great atmosphere and food. They have a good verity of food but I always get the Daytona wings. They have sports on tv to watch while you're waiting or hanging at the bar. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. read more

I'm a fan of hooters but I was disappointed with this location, especially since it is the flagship location. The service was slow and it wasn't that busy. We sat outside but by the time we got our food The wings were a bit soggy, my sisters soup seemed to not even of been heated, and the curly fries were practically ice. It got to the point we were ordering the next round when the waitress dropped off the previous. It was a member of my parties birthday and they came out to sing. They forgot the candle. That's a tough one to explain. For a party of 6, and a $250 check I would expect better. I plan to try the other Clearwater location for my bday this weekend as the service was questionable at best. Came to this hooters for the first time and it was the worst experience ever. Wings felt like they were sitting in a fridge , tots tasted like oil . When I asked for new wings it tasted microwaved and soggy . I ate 4 of the 10 and my waitress nicola said I ate most of it so I can't get a discount . She did not check on us at all , not even for a refill ! she was too busy on her phone , mind you I'm less than 10 feet away saying her name to complain about the wings and her and other girls were on their phone. read more
