When we order to take out, I get the chicken salad and have enough for two meals. When we eat in, and it's ALWAYS comfortable and clean inside, we get the quarter dark with two sides. I like the double salad. Husband likes mashed potatoes (they ARE good) and salad. I don't know what the dressing is, but it's unique and tasty. Pita bread comes with the dinner. Haven't been to YAYAS in years since I live in Hillsborough County and they are only located in Pinellas. But this was worth the stop. I loved my Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. Chicken was juicy and not dried out. For $12 you can't beat this huge salad. My only complaint was cash only in this digital era is crazy. They have an ATM option inside with a ridiculous extra charge to use the machine. The ambience is horrible where they dirty green carpet and cafeteria type orange benches. They have a TV turn on in the corner to some no-name movie with no sound. There are rarely no more than one or two customers at anytime and I've never seen this place busy. The chicken salad is why I go back and it is no reason for customer service for sure. There is no drive-through which is another negative. I was just at YaYa's in Clearwater and watched the guy behind the counter stop what he was doing and fill up "dirty" cups from 3 previous customers that wanted refills. This is not sanitary. Then he continued making food orders and taking money at the same time, not one time did he sanitize his hands and kept wiping them on his apron. He then took out pita bread from underneath the counter to put some on the grill and did not use tongs, he used his dirty hands that were not sanitized. I politely told him that I didn't want any bread and needless to say, I don't think I'm going to return to this YaYa. It's close to my job so I go there. The guy is never very friendly and the girl never says thank you, hi, nothing. The food is always good but not sanitizing is a deal breaker for me, especially around food. read more

They don't take credit or debit and will direct you to an ATM at the front of the store if needed. Food was just OK. Service was fast- they pulled a white meat chicken piece right off the grill and bagged it with pre-prepped containers of my two sides of choice. I suggest getting the yaya's white sauce to dip the chicken in. You get all this for 10.00, you can't beat that. This place is cash only.
