Long wait to sit down and what I noticed was other people coming in and they sat them down. They knew each other's names. So guess if your friends come you seat them first. We sat down and ordered food. Food came out 20 mins later and the wings were cold like it sat there and the girl serving food put her thumb in the bowl and got sauce on her thumb. Really?? You touch my food and think it's ok. I didn't even eat the wings and ate salad only. They asked if all was ok with the wings and after I told them they said sorry but still charged me. I loved hooters but the service sucks. The waitress served another table before us when we were seated first. By the time we got our drinks they were water down. I felt like she was attending to other customer because they were all men and totally neglected us because we are a family. I don't blame her on trying to make tips but you should treat your customer equal and fair. read more

The WORST!!! I ordered food to go and once I got home everything was cold. It only took me five to ten minutes to get home. The Buffalo shrimp did not taste like buffalo at all. The girls that worked there were friendly and polite. I placed an order for carry out and they had it ready very quickly and I was pleasantly surprised. However, I was almost instantly disappointed. The fries were absolutely gross and soggy and tasted like they were old and warmed up in the microwave. The wings (which were "hot") had little to no flavor. For the price, it was a definite letdown. I have been a regular fan of Hooters for many years. I have frequently went to the Downers Grove location and have always been satisfied. I have dinned at many other locations as well; Orland Park, Indiana, Nevada (on the strip) and even the one in Cancun Mexico. Needless to say i like their wings. With that being said. The newest one in countryside, which is super close to my work and was very excited they finally opened a closer one, It's awful. Ate there three different times, trying to give them a chance to improve. They have not. Wings are not up to par, fries are constantly under cooked, servers are scatter brained and the inside is frankly just, ugly. Baby blue walls?, no nick-knacks, and no bigger then a Wendys? So disappointed that the newest hooters is such a dud. So if your a hooters fan, go to any other hooters then Countryside. read more

I was really upset about my entire experience at THIS particular Hooters. 1st my waitress forgot my fries!! She sat all the food down & asked us was there anything else I told her my fries are missing she 1st looked at me as if she had an attitude then said "They are coming right up we want them to be hot & fresh for you" I waited 15 min & my mouth was ready for them she then walked from the kitchen with a plate of fries walked straight pass me then stopped at the booth where an elderly couple was sitting at and sat them on their table. My face was beet red I was hot!! But I kept calm politely stopped her & asked her about my fries she looks as if she was shocked that she forgot them then asked ,"Do you still want them??!!" REALLY??!! Still keeping calm I told her to forget about them... 2nd thing while eating I had my ranch sauce sitting on a plate where I was putting my bones and while eating and talking she walked to our table picked up the plate of bones and left. I didn't realize that she had even done that until I went to dip and there was no ranch sauce no plate of bones nothing I'm like did she really jus take my ranch?? My friend sensed that I was upset because I stopped eating my food & then my friend suggested that we leave so I asked for a container (which she did bring that on time). I sat my 7 medium traditional wings n there paid for my food then left. Oh no! I forgot my food on the table!! My friend begged me not to go back in, she said the probably threw it away I told her we just left maybe because it was food and a lot of wings that I would quickly return so they might still have them. I went back in & found the waitress she said she will check to see if it was thrown away but another waitress over heard the convo and told her to just have them make 7 wings I heard my waitress tell her no. A friend and I came in and atmosphere was very stand offish. We stood at the front for awhile waiting to be seated, yet no one came to even greet us OR give us a spot to sit. One of the employees saw us standing there and continues to grab things from her table. So we sat ourselves. We waited yet again for awhile and someone finally came to wait on us. When we finally got our food the fries were COLD. And I ordered boneless wings but got a couple pieces of shrimp. At Least the manager was helpful. Honestly I'm not much of a person who goes to yelp to complain, but the service at this location is so awful that I don't understand how they are still in service. After receiving a chicken breast with the wrong sauce, they took back our order to the kitchen and in 30 seconds came out with a "new" chicken breast... the second chicken breast was the same as the first one just with a different sauce poured on top of it. The second time me and my girlfriend ordered here we ordered take-out online. When I went to the restaurant to pick up my order, the manager couldn't find my online order and told me I must've ordered from the wrong location. I showed the manager the email confirmation and the correct address and for some reason he was very unkind about the situation maybe because I proved to him he was wrong. The girls that work there have been nothing but nice but your management is way below average. I work in the service industry and never would I have thought a manager would talk to any paying customer the way I I was talked too. My husband and I have been coming here since it opened. Never had bad experience until today our server name was Christine she was very rude. This is my first review ever but I felt the need to share this information. We went for lunch this past Saturday, not too busy. Our order was done wrong three times and we needed to send it back or ask for our items that come with our order (side items or even drinks). We have been big fans of this location since it opened and came out to this location quite often but I have to share that they are no longer offering the items like they used to previously. Here are a list of items to look out for: #1: They bumped up their prices on all mostly all their menu items #2: Countryside will charge you an additional tax just for dining there! When you look at your receipt you get all the regular imposed taxes for dining but now you will see an additional F&B Tax included (F&B = Food & Beverage). So if you plan on dining at this particular Hooters or any food dining location you will be charged extra taxes just for dining there. #3: They changed their paper towels. They're really cheap brown 1-ply lightweight paper that hardly absorbs anything (not good when you're trying to eat wings with). #4: Yes, they changed up the clean naps too! They have these very small ones that are very cheaply made so they don't do well for what they're intended for...cleaning up. #5: Their homemade ranch and blue cheese that came with our order is came really watery and hardly any flavor. Plus only half filled. So they want to charge you more for this item but they give you less quality. #6: For the parents like our family that enjoyed the Frisbee included with kids menu item, they are no longer served on a Frisbee just a plain old plate. I'm a big fan of Hooters wings! However, lately my husband and I have been refraining from going to hooters because not only at this location but at another one we have had bad food. For instance, last night, we came and gave it another try. My husband ordered half slab of ribs very uncooked!!! My order was incorrect but managed to have the philly cheese steak instead of the chicken I ordered. Wings were uncooked as well maybe it was due to arriving one hour before close time. However, early or not, we have experienced undercooked food. Service was great, drinks were great but the food is really making us to not come to hooters anymore. =( read more

Today while we were eating, the power went out. We continued eating and didn't think much of it until it was time for our bill. At first, the waitress told us that they were waiting because they couldn't print out our bill. After a few minutes, we wondered why they just didn't add them manually. When finally someone figured out that that would be the best option, it was such a task to get our bill added up. All in all, we waited over 45 minutes just to receive our bill and another 10 minutes to simply pay it. In this 50 or so minutes, the restaurant started filling with the odor that normally the exhaust would get and it also began to get very warm (they didn't even open the doors for fresh air). Before all of this chaos began, we found the manager (we're assuming she was the manager) to be very unfriendly. She didn't crack a smile when she brought us our food and just put it down and walked away. We found that very odd and rude. And then the power went out.... I understand that nobody has control over the power going out, my complaint is with the way it was handled. Not once were we offered anything for the inconvenience or even while we waited so long for our bill. Not once did ANYONE apologize for the wait, even after the manager knew that we had to leave and couldn't wait any longer. After 50 minutes, I think we were patient enough. I was very disappointed with the service that we received today. There are matters that happen that are out of our hands; however, i feel that the situation could have been handled a lot better. I also feel that the manager should be a bit friendlier and accommodating when it comes to your patrons. Outside of the customer service that we received today, the food was delicious. read more

Waits on the weekend can be long but you can get a beer at the bar while you wait. I had stopped in last Friday and with it being lent I didn't think there was much to get other than crab legs and shrimp, but my server listed off about ten other things I could order. Wow!! I've eaten at Hooters four times in my life and had negative experiences that prevented me from going back twice. This past weekend I called the Countryside location to place an order for carry out on Super Bowl Sunday. I was told that I needed to arrive 30 before the pickup time on my order so that my food wasn't sitting around getting cold. So, let me get this straight, if I want to pick up my wings at 4:30 I need to be there at 4:00 because that's when they'll be ready?? Makes no sense! The girl on the phone could not explain this to me so I called back five hours later and got somebody else. What I was told is that Hooters does not actually start making your order until you arrive to pick it up. Then, you will have to wait 20-30 minutes, "and up to 45 if it's really busy." So they want tons of people standing around waiting 30 minutes for to-go orders so they don't get stiffed if somebody doesn't show up for their order. If I wanted my food to be made once I got there, I'd have sat down and ordered it there. This totally defeats the purpose of carry out! This is not customer service; it only benefits Hooters! Will NOT be returning. I'm done with poor excuses for saving a buck. It's Super Bowl Sunday people, and you sell wings! I'm sure you're not hurting from a few orders of wings in the trash! read more

The location is small. Often crowded so you will wait to be seated. Last couple of times we visited we had to send the order back. Wrong order or cold wings. Yes, cold wings. How can Hooters serve cold wings when this is supposed to be the main food item they're known for? Plus the waitstaff seem disinterested in actually serving a table that wasn't all guys...flirting for bigger tips I guess. I suggest skipping this location and going to the Hooters in Orland Park or Lombard. Both locations are larger and have their act together. You can never get a table here when there is a popular sporting event like a Bears game or hockey/basketball playoffs. A few times walked in only to walk out and go someplace else. Have been to this location 3 times. The first time, the service was terrible, food was cold and we were charged for asking for extra coke in a "rum & coke" drink. Since this was newly opened, at that time, we decided to try it again. Second time, the service/seating was fast, food was delicious and hot and the experience was good. Third time we tried to go on a Friday night, but because there isn't a lot of space at this location, we were told the wait would be an hour. We didn't wait. Instead, we went back a few days later, still a wait, but only about 20 minutes. Service was slow, we ended having to wait, a lot. However, the food was hot and delicious and we weren't charge double when we asked for more coke in the drink. I think, overall, it's hit or miss at this location. read more

To begin with, the place is a shoebox with inadequate waiting space which you'll naturally need because of aforementioned shoebox status. Luckily we were able to cram ourselves into the tiny merchandise corner to be out of the way of the door. I don't suggest coming here if you have more than 4-6 people in your group. We had a group of 9 & were quoted a 20 minute wait time. LIES! LIES, I TELL YOU! Our wait ended up being a total of an hour and a half. Because we understood completely that they couldn't control the rate at which people eat and gtfo, we waited patiently for an hour before I found a manager to ask what the deal was. I explained that I understood they didn't have much room to work with & we had a larger group, but to quote us 20 minutes when in reality their staff knew better, was b.s. I suggested she talk to her host staff and advise them to be more realistic when quoting wait times to avoid frustrating anyone else that comes in. About 5-6 groups of 5 that came in after us were seated before us. (Ever hear of throwing a couple of tables together for bigger parties, Countryside Hooters?) She apologized, and pointed out the tables that would be ours as soon as the people left it. A half hour later we were seated. It took longer than it should have to get our drinks, but our waitress was very sweet. Finally two hours after stepping in the place, we had our food in front of us. If you think coming here instead of driving out to the Downers Grove location will be convenient, you are wrong (unless you're into being packed into a tiny baby can like sardines.) After this experience, I will gladly continue taking the longer trip out to Downers Grove Hooters. P.S. The only reason we didn't leave was bc it was my pop's 71st birthday and he loves his yearly birthday hooters visit! read more

I hadn't posted about Hooters since last year.... but I'd been there a handful of times- with no complaints. Until Monday. My friend placed a carry-out order and was told 15 minutes. We got there, probably with a few minutes to spare, and when the waitress at the register read off the order, she informed us that they did not have turkey burgers. This is 2pm on a Monday. It would have been useful to have that information BEFORE we picked up the order. As it was, I did not have another option I could have, due to gluten intolerance. Many of the sauces there do not agree with me, so many of those items are a no go. It's usually a turkey burger with no bun. The girl didn't seem terribly concerned about this inconvenience. She offered a salad...which I declined, and asked for a menu. My friend was trying to placate me; as I was pretty upset by not being told of this until we got there and not while on the phone, and she ordered a side order of baked beans- those I can have. We got our order and left and went back to work. When I got there, not only did I not get the baked beans, but the tater tots that I did get weren't cooked all the way through. Some were frozen! I mean, come on. It took another 15 minutes after we got there to get my friend's order- thankfully, hers was ok. This experience has really soured me on this Hooters location. I'm not sure what sort of communication DOESN'T go on there, but this was ridiculous. My advice to anyone ordering a carry-out order is to make them repeat it back to you, and after each item to ask "Do you have that in stock?" because it will prevent the aggravation I went through. The girls should also work on their communication to customers. They really didn't seem that overly concerned that one of their customers was visibly upset; had this been Lone Star or Texas Roadhouse nearby, you can bet the manager would have come out and personally spoke with me. This manager came by long enough to take the item off the order and said nothing. Pretty crappy customer service Monday afternoon, Countryside Hooters. This is the worst hooters- drive the extra 20 minutes and go to downers grove or orland park. The service in countryside is only mediocre and On 2 different occasions we were only given 1 knife for our boneless wings. We asked for a fork and were told they were out, we asked for plastic utensils and they were out of those as well. This is not a way to run a business- send someone across the street to Walmart or target for plastic utensils of you have nothing to provide your guest. read more

We arrived at this location around 6:30 on a hot Saturday evening. We had to weave our way through a couple of people smoking in front of the door. Upon entry, the hostess informed us that the air conditioning was broken but we decided to tough it out because we were craving some wings!. We were promptly seated and ordered our beers, which came in a timely manner and ice cold. We ordered a 1/2 dozen of the steamed oysters, a bowl of fries and some wings. After a short wait the oysters came out and we dug in. Well...we tried to, only 3 of the shells were steamed open enough to get to the meat. We brought it to our servers attention and she hauled our plate away to "have the guys in the kitchen open them up." Shortly after, our wings arrived. They were cooked perfectly and we were completely satisfied that we didn't even notice that we never received our order of fries OR that the rest of our oysters never re-emerged from the kitchen. We had to flag down our server to let her know just to take the fries off of the bill and that we never got our oysters. She said, she knew, that the cooks were still trying to get them to steam open. This was easily 40 minutes later, strange. She came back with our check and said, with a sheepish look on her face, that the manager took the order of oysters and the fries off of our bill. Part of me feels sympathy for her having to deal with her coworkers being hot and grumpy for having to work in 100+ degree conditions but on the other hand, we were one of the few tables they were serving that night and they all should have been more attentive. A few times during our meal I noticed a group of servers just miling around the hostess stand not doing anything. It wasn't a completely horrible experience but it certainly wasn't a good one. I would probably go back one more time to give them another chance, in proper conditions, because those Daytona wings are top notch. read more

Went here today for lunch. The food was great. Had the original wings and the onion rings. The service was great as well. The only problem I can see with this place is that it's way too small. The small space didn't affect us today for lunch as we were seated immediately but I can see it being a big problem at night, especially on a Friday or Saturday. I don't know why they would put up a brand new place and then make the dining area so small. They could have easily tacked on another 10 feet of space in 3 directions. I for one wouldn't be going there on a weekend unless it was for takeout. read more

I was very disappointed as a big Hooters fan aside with my husband. We were go going to see a movie and I, pregnant, really wanted wings from there. Well, we went and the wings were not as we have had in other Hooters where they are juicy and crispy with lots of sauce. The skin was soft like if they were boiled and they had a little bit of sauce. The cheese with our fries was not even warm and it was so thick, that was exchanged. My husband and I went to this location a couple weeks after it first open, because it's closer to us than the one we usually go to in Melrose Park, the night we went they were not crowded at all.We decided to sit at the bar. The waitress/bartender did not acknowledge us until 20 minutes later, when we flagged her down. She did however acknowledge the group of men sitting next to us, the two men sitting across the bar from us and the the few fellows sitting at the end of the bar. She laughed and joked and refilled their drinks all night. When she finally went to the back to got our order she came back cursing and saying how she was being over-worked and under -appreciated "wth!??!"....not to mention the wings looks bite sized! I love Hooters and so does my family. On 2/2 we took my husband out to Countryside's New Hooters for his birthday and had a terrible experience with manager. We have been to Hooters all over including out of state. We have always had a pleasant experience. I think this manager needs to be given a little more customer service training. There was a disagreement because of a t.v. channel between the manager and my husband I just feel it could have been handled different He came out and was not very nice twice! My wife, 3 yr old daughter, and I went to this Hooters on a busy night and as we pulled into lot we noticed our daughter fell asleep. I decided to get food to go. As I decided on what to order from menu, I had an appetizer and drink at the bar. I put my order in and waited. As I waited, I jokingly asked person taking to-go orders if the wings are from free-range chickens. She had no idea what I was talking about. As my food just came out, my wife called me and said our daughter woke up and lets just dine inside. By this time, business had died down and there were open tables. I told hostess of situation and asked for a table. With a dumbfounded look on her face, she said she would have to get the manager. Manager "Mike" came by and said its against company policy to seat you. He also said when you come to Hooters the customer is buying the whole "experience" when they are seated. I said to him, " you seriously won't seat me?" and I also said I would tip waitress if thats a problem. Then he said he would make an exception this time and he was not responsible for my food if it was cold! Unbelievable! We ate our food, ordered drinks and dips by the way, tipped waitress on total and couldn't wait to get out. As far as the "Hooters experience" is concerned, its outdated, tired and old. i came to to celebrate my wifes birthday with a party of 6 i was hoping to have a good dining experience but turned out to be the worst dining experience ever i spent well over $250 on food,drinks,and appetizers which honestly i regret our waitress was rude she never came by to check on us and our table unless we specifically flagged her over we also had to wait close to a half hour for refills our waitress even seemes frustrated and annoyed that we were asking questions about the menue and drinks i honestly will never come back here again first impression is key in my eyes i rather spend my hard earned money somewhere else where my business is appreciated and where the hospitality is great and staff and servers are professional i deffinitley was very upset and dissapointed i was hoping this location would be better then the other ones but i guess not what a shame.... read more

Have tried this Hooters location 3 times now and each time worse than the last. Today we ordered online, waited 25 minutes when we got there. They missed items on the order so we had to go back inside to get missing items. When we got home, the burger was cold and had all the wrong ingredients. Fries were cold, tater tots hot. Seems like the burger and fries were done on time and the 25 minute wait for the other items made them unpalatable. The wings were supposed to be half mild and half hot. They were all mild. Staff was rude while waiting for our order and did not offer us to sit down or anything. Just said they were behind int he kitchen. Wait staff also having obvious issues with the kitchen. We will travel 2 or 3 times farther in future to Melrose Park or Downers Grove, both of which have never caused us an issue with waiting or wrong order. Both have pleasant staff. This was the WORST $70 I have ever spent on carryout in over 40 years. If you just want a beer and to watch sports, this is the place for you. If you are hungry, try any of the dozens of places within 2 miles of this Hooters. read more
