My family and I have been going to Hooters for over 20yrs, it's always been one of our favorite restaurants. When I found out they would be building one near our home in Grand Prairie, we were really excited. Unfortunately, I have to say this Hooters is the worst Hooters I've ever been to, everything from the slow service to the food, just awful. We have tried giving this place several chances but this last time we went after the Cowboys game on Sunday (again an awful experience) I felt compelled to speak my mind because that's not how you keep customers coming back, especially the ones who have been going for 20 plus years! This location is under staffed and the cooks need to be retrained because the food is never good. Below is the so called hot wings they brought to us, these were NOT hot wings, more like burnt! Doesn't help either when you have a manager tell you "taste like hot wings to me". That's not how you run a business!! Absolutely LOVE this location! You can't even tell it's a newer location because everything was ON POINT! *Monae & Jaida* were wonderful! Two of my favorite Hooters Girls. The smoked wings were delicious, and the service I received was excellent. If you're ever at this location ask for Monae if you're dining in, and Jaida if you're ever in the bar. Management is the problem here. They simply do not care about customer satisfaction. Music is very loud and the bar area is very crowded. These two issues could easily be resolved, if the outside seating was opened. They refuse to seat you in the outer area, even if requested, and there is a wait. This place could significantly increase sales and profits if they cared or listened to feedback. Seeing all area Hooters have 2-3 stars, it may be more of a district issue. Most all food is good, but usually takes about 45 minutes. Do not come if you have a 1-hour lunch period! Waitstaff was very inexperienced at first, but quickly got up-to-speed! They are usually nice and better than the average Hooters girls at other locations. I still come every month or so to get my Hooter's fix, but gave-up on the budgeted 3-times a week I had planned. Don't waste your time or money. 1/3 of the restaurant is full, been here 1.5 hours. Still no check. Wrong food. Waitress blamed the wait on the kitchen. When I told her the order was wrong she looked at what she wrote down and said she usually writes it down correctly-didn't offer to fix the order. Horrible experience! Husband and I went in....not that busy. Wait was ridiculous for our food(approximately 40 minutes). When we asked about how long before our food would come out she says " oh yea the kitchens backed up... I guess you should have ordered appetizers". What?! Who says that?! When we finally get our food my husbands wings were cold. He sent them back. Our waitress returned in less than 5 minutes and says "we warmed them up on the grill". Still cold. Get it together Hooters! Seated at our table for 20+ mins with no waitress. Restaurant had plenty of staff and wasn't crowded at all. Turns out our waitress left to go to the store- what?? Brianna filled in but it was hard to recover. Our appetizer was given to someone else. Our order was wrong and missing items - twice! No fries, no dressings, no water. Ugh.... lots of staff standing around talking including the 2 managers/supervisors that were on duty. Didn't even offer to discount bill. So were done with this location. This place is terrible! I placed an order online on their website at about 3:00 this afternoon for a delivery time at 7:15. I figured placing the order early would help get the delivery on time. Well come 7:15, I check the status online and it says my order hasn't even been picked up. Game time was 7:15, so I am like ok they are busy, they are probably running behind. Well at about 7:40, I check the status online and it had changed to "pick up failed. Call us." So I try calling the restaurant for 30 straight minutes and NO ONE is answering the phone. We had a horrible experience at this Hooters. We ordered fried pickles and there were jalapeños stuck to the pickles, it took our food an hour to get to us. I went there after work I really wanted some food from them I went there I was told to order at the bar the bar the bartender act as if I wasn't even there as I was walking out the host stop and asked what was wrong I told her and then she offered to take my order. What a disappointment. We came in for Happy Hour. When we walked in there was only one bartender working in the restaurant and no waitstaff and no hostess. No one greeted us no one said hello. A waitress peeked around the corner from the back and saw us but did not say a word. We waited like it seemed forever. But finally two girls came from the back to seat us . Our waitress didn't even give us time to sit down before she began asking us what we wanted to drink after coming back three times within a two minute. We finally told her water. After looking at the bar menu for a beer I finally made a request and their beer menu was incorrect they only had maybe 10 of the 30 beers available. We ordered cold fried pickles from the happy hour menu. I ordered just regular wings( hot )and my boyfriend ordered the nachos from the happy hour menu. He asked for the pico and jalapeños on the side My wings came out cold. She Gordy to bring an extra bone plate & also ordered celery. The whole wait staff was sitting in the front of the restaurant hanging out visiting with each other. the hostess was at the bar talking to a guy drinking her Chick-fil-A. We were able to catch another waitress going by and asked for the manager she asked what was wrong so she could send the right manager. We let her know my wings for Cold. So, she took the wings in back to the kitchen and within two minutes , I had hot wings that they probably reheated because it takes longer to cook wings than two minutes and said the manager would be by our table. That was the last time we saw anyone until our waitress broke herself away from her friends. And asked us if we wanted dessert and if we wanted her give us our check. By this time we were SO done. She proceeded to be overly friendly at this time by refilling my boyfriends drink that hadn't been refilled and offering me to go water. Offered us a container to take our food home. And I haven't even mentioned my boyfriends nachos. When they came to the table she brought a bowl of chips with sprinkle chicken on it with every single thing on the side. Not a good presentation by any means when we got our bill. All of the appetizers including the nachos and fried pickles were supposed to be half price during happy hour and she argued with me saying that that was only in the evening and I showed her their happy hour menu and she seems surprised. She had been working at the restaurant for four months. We never saw a manager. On the way out I asked for the manager's name to the peace to the young men that were best in our table they didn't know what her name was the hostess that was drinking her Chick-fil-A at the bar with a customer said her name was Donna. Pulled up on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was not to packed. We sat at our table for at least 15 minutes and not one person acknowledge us, no water no nothing. I would definitely understand if they were busy, but there were more empty tables than seated tables, throw in the fact that the 2 waitresses in the section walked by our table at least 4 times and never said a word. I love Hooters but will most likely choose another wing establishment down the road next time I get the craving. Before we walked out I let the young man at the door know we were leaving because nobody ever came to our table, he didn't seem bothered by it and simply said "ok". Visiting this Hooters this past weekend ordered Daytona wings and onion rings. Took about 30 minutes to come out . They where scorched on one side the manager tried to tell me they where supposed to be burned. Same thing happened on my first visit. Manager did say I'm sorry or anything. We were so excited to have a Hooters so close. But we were very disappointed with our experience. It took well over 5 minutes for our server to greet us, and the restaurant was no busier than a typical Saturday afternoon. I asked for my drink to be a double and it was clearly a single both times, but we paid for the double. It also took a very long time before our bar drinks were brought, and the waitress did not offer waters while we waited. We asked to have all drums and the waitress forgot that as well. Our food was also only luke warm and the wings were severely lacking in sauce. One of the few times our waitress was around us with a pleasant face was when she was handling our check. Tonight topped it off for me. We waited 40 minutes to be seated, in an almost empty dining room. I asked the hostess, whom is a very inexperienced guy, why we were waiting so long when they were not even busy. He said they were trying to seat evenly for the waiting staff that they had. So Im sitting here waiting 30 to 40 minutes bc you don't have waitresses?? But yet 2 parties of two people got seated before us. It doesn't matter if its 2 people or 4 people, you both need only 1 waitress. Yet they were both seated before us and there was empty tables everywhere. This Hooters is really struggling. Very slow! We waited 50 min before we decided to talk to the manager. Our food arrived 10 minutes laters which was burnt. They replaced the burnt orders which were very good. This hooters location has gone downhill . Right when our order was just about ready to come out I was told by the waitress that they were out of curly fries. I was not asked what I wanted I was just given steak fries, I then requested tater tots for 2 meals., the tater tots for both meals were in a big glob of tots. I also ordered sliders .
