This was my first time here, and I came for one thing...crawfish. I heard they were having a special, $6lb. with corn and potatoes. That is a heck of a deal these days. They came out steaming hot, and perfectly seasoned. They were a little on the smaller side, but sometimes that is just how it goes. I really liked their spicy seasoning, I don't remember exactly what it was called. Fire something. It had a good spice but won't make your nose run. The corn and potatoes were not overcooked and were really satisfying. I have only been to a Razzoos once before, and it was ages ago, so I can not comment on anything other than the crawfish. They had a great special for 2lbs at $15.00, so I jumped on it. The crawfish were so good, and the seasoning was just right. I had the mild, but it still had a little kick, which was manageable. I really enjoyed it; however, I noticed that I didn't get potatoes, instead, I was given more corn. In this case, I didn't mind at all. The seasoning made that corn so delicious, I may not be leery of that type of corn when received in a boil, in the future. Our first impression of this space was the bare parking lot. This was subtle foreshadowing and we should've taken heed. However, we pressed on against our better judgements. Walking in, the space looks like the house off of Waterboy. The maximum decor style was so distracting that I almost missed the very odd napkin note. Now it wasn't an outright offensive note granted. It just seemed idk weird. To be fair it could've been a Black person who wrote it, who knows. By this time I had decided I wasn't going to eat. We sat down and my friends looked over the menu. Our waitress, who was an absolute sweetheart, came to bring us our waters. She was kind and bubbly, which helped shake off some of the vibe when we walked in. As my party began to scout the menu they started to see subtle messages scattered in. The apps were advertised as "meals for CHEAP people," a few comments on what makes a "Razzoo" and some slightly political cartoons. For us this was it. Couldn't get to the food. Went in here with my family for an early dinner. From type to bottom our server Briana was nothing but kind to us. She was so patient with us because it took us a while to order and pick what we wanted. She was back and forth to other tables but continued to check up on us if we needed anything. She was so sweet! It's so hard to find good service now of days, and she was great! We started off with the spinach & artichoke dip as an appetizer. The garlic bread was perfect. The dip is more cheesy than most but it's pretty good. I ordered the Jalapeño fish from their BayouBargains menu. The only thing is that you can't substitute nothing off that menu unfortunately. I wish you could. That's my only issue. I also ordered the strawberry coconut sunrise which is half frozen and half rocks mardi rita. It was really good! This was a horrible experience from the beginning. I sat at a one top table, i came on my lunch break and didn't wanna sit at the bar. It was during a lunch pop so my server Lonnie was a little bit busier than normal, which is expected. However it took forever for my cocktail to come, so I asked the hostess to send the manager over, I was in a bit of a hurry and wanted to get my food order placed. Instead of offering assistance the manager just brushed me off since my server was walking up as he was standing there. He simple just told my server, "she's ready to order". He displayed zero empathy to me as a customer. My server dropped my drink off and circled back to take my order with an attitude. I order a side of fries to come out first as an appetizer, however after 10 mins they never came. The server saw me looking around and instead of coming and asking if everything was okay, Lonnie proceeded to talk and laugh about me with his other coworker on shift. Meanwhile, my appetizer still had yet to come out. Lonnie looked me in the face and proceeded to prance around his section, avoiding me and never checking on me or asking if there was anything i need. As I was leaving, I asked to speak to the manager again. A different manager came out this time and he level of service was just as horrible. He never once apologized for the situation or try to make it right. Instead his response was, "why should I apologize". We continued our conversation and Lonnie came up and Interrupted the conversation yelling, the manager took his time tell him to calm down. I thought that was also very unprofessional. Altogether from beginning to end the experience was very unpleasant, I wouldn't recommend this location to anybody. The management and staff is very unprofessional. read more

The best part of the meal was our server, Destiny. She was attentive, friendly and super helpful. The rest was downhill, fast. In all fairness, we haven't been here in a few years. The last time was just post Covid. We forgot why we stopped coming here until we got our food. The old Razoo's is no more. New menu and the saltiest food I have ever had. We got a half dozen of the charbroiled oysters. I was super excited to try them. They were so salty I couldn't eat it. I spit it out immediately. That was an omen. The rest of the dishes were just ok and to me, overly salted. I am not salt sensitive but the amount on the food tonight was heavy. We also got the crawfish étouffée, an order of the Zydeco pasta and a Shrimp/Cat pasta. The etouffee was salty. The pasta had a watery brown gravy instead of the rich blackened sauce it used to have and the shrimp were chewy. The shrimp and catfish were good, but a few of the fries were overly seasoned. For drinks, a hurricane, which was all syrup and a raspberry lemonade which was mostly watery lemon water. I drank it because the salty food made me thirsty. We used to love this place, but sadly it will move down to only an occasional happy hour spot from now on. Nothing we had tonight was worth the price. read more

So I decided to go here for lunch because I was craving crawfish. I ordered 1 pound start and I'm glad I only ordered 1 pound. It was like eating super salty crawfish with absolutely NO TASTE BUT SALT!! They need a new recipe or they need a new cook. Came to Razzoos with a buddy of mine and neither of us had been in a few years. We were both glad we came. Ordered the gator bites as an appetizer, which were delicious. They give yo two different sauces for them as well. I was there during happy hour, but came to find out they do an all day happy hour with $4 pours on many different types of liquors, had double crown for $8 cant beat that. I was at the bar and our bartender was great she ensured our cups stayed full and checked on us often. It wasnt very loud and was easy to have conversation with my buddy sitting right next to me. I had the crawfish etoufee and fried shrimp. The toufee was amazing and i highly recommend getting that. By the time i got to the shrimp i was all fried food out but they were fried perfectly and had a nice light crunch to them. read more

if I can rate this restaurant less than one, I would rate it a zero for service. The manager name is Tony. He came to my table and did not identify himself and asked "who gets the oysters". I sent the oysters back because the cheese was burnt. I responded "I do". He then said "I have a problem with this table". who has the drinks and only pointed to one. there were (4) drinks on the table. I told him the drink was mine. The waitress passed me twice and did not stop when I tried to signal to her. I had to ask for another waiter to get another manager. The General Manager came out and the other manager did also with a totally different attitude. When he spoke I told him he had his turn it's my time now. I explained what happened and how rude his staff were. He apologized and asked if he could pay for my appetizer. I told him not to offend me. My food was over $200 and I can pay for an appetizer. I asked for a to go box and I would never come back to this restaurant Again. POOR SERVICE. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place already, I come here all the time. I like Razzoos. It's very Cajun but more like a chain. However, the food is very tasty. I've got numerous dishes here... when I was less a fan of spice I got the hamburger all the time. which has some kind of sauce on it that is so tasty. But as I've learned to love spice, I've tried things like their pastas. Love their zydeco pasta, which has blacken chicken or shrimp on it and jambalaya Pasta, which has andouille sausage, fish, shrimp and chicken and everything with the kitchen sink much like jambalaya. Both of those are delicious. However today they were having a special of these huge butterfly coconut shrimp appetizers, which were amazing chili sauce and of course, the fries. For my entrée I had the stuffed chicken, which is not actually stuffed but still very very tasty. It's butterflied and has Boudin with cooked with dirty rice on the bottom, and then they lay the butterfly chicken on top and covered in tasty Cajun gravy and then they put it with mashed potatoes which is creamy and delicious and green beans which were kind of overcooked. Only bad thing I can say about the entire meal. And strangely enough, I felt like I still had room and I had a sweet tooth so I went ahead and tried their bread pudding, which was amazing. the rum and butter sauce was delicious though there wasn't enough, but my bartender,/ waiter was nice enough to go give me some extra. God bless him. And I wish they had heated up the bread before they sent it out, but it was still yummy. It's like a very large muffin with peaches and nuts very tasty, oh speaking bartender don't let me forget the fact that I had a peach mambo there and he didn't amazing job. I have been here in two other prior visits. Today, it was definitely not what I expected. The service was subpar and the food was barely hot. I had to keep asking my server for items and then he would forget me altogether. The atmosphere was that of the New Orleans feel, however it was not enjoyable due to my food being off point. I dined in alone so the wait was way too long for it to be just me. The greeters were not friendly but maybe it was just the time of the day on a Friday evening. There needs to be some more improvements for sure. It's the bread pudding that keeps me coming back. read more

We came on a Thursday night and were sat immediately. They always have great jazz/New Orleans music playing to set the tone for the restaurant. I started off with getting the Nola tea and it was super cute! I love that the drinks come with beads. The drink was super strong but tasted great! I got the Cajun fondue for my appetizer with shrimp and the fried chicken salad with ranch. All of my food came out quick and delicious. I am so happy that we came for dinner.
