Yep 1: The server was really nice. The food was hot and decent. Went in today with my 5 year old for lunch. Was very cold out 48. Got sat in a cold area and asked if there was a warmer spot. Got moved. Was all good until the air kicked in. Windy inside and 48 does not mix well. I complained multiple times and my server said she informed the manager who told her the he "had the heat on". After 20 Min and blue lips, she said "he said he does not know what is wrong with the AC unit". No discount, no coupon, no manager table visit and no apology for the visit. Excellent service here and very friendly staff!! Problem I always have with Hooters is their food, which frankly is not good. Their beer though is always cold, tv's are everywhere and the ladies are beautiful and friendly. So stopping here becomes much more than just about the food that Hooters serves up. Struggling between 2 or 3 stars here.....This Hooters is tucked into a tough corner near I-4, getting out often a problem. But I had a hankering for their infamous wings. Almost had the place to myself--but the music was still BLARING as if a party was going on. This Hooters includes low tables and booths--seems more family friendly than the South FL location. Got a hick hostess with no sense. I asked for a "near" table, she still wanted to walk me six tables down towards the noise, ignoring my flagging at her and shouting the first table was fine.Then the "clean" table was sticky. Once I got past the one-star "foreplay" it turned out to be a decent experience. The waitress was great, attentive and quick. I enjoyed trying their fried dill pickles ($6) with a tangy sauce followed by 10 boneless wings in their medium original sauce. I think I got just as much meat boneless as I would've gotten with all the gnawing, at the same price ($9) and a whole lot less mess. Just the right heat. Bleu cheese dipping sauce. I paid .69 for celery which used to come with a set of wings. boohoo but didn't break the bank. They're a Pepsi place so had water to cool the tongue. I would've settled on 3-stars but I felt sick the next three hours and I hate the awkwardness of being served by half-naked women being taught that sex sells. We ordered blue cheese & she brought out the meal & we only received ranch (common mistake), but upon asking for more she hesitated to even bring out some, and responded with, "I can show you the difference by the dots in it." I get it's part of their job to act sorta dumb, but c'mon just get the blue cheese already. Also in my opinion why ask if a person needs a refill, once the cup gets below half just grab another, she continually asked if we needed more to the point of annoyance. Other than that not to bad. We came in early evening. Never eaten at this Hooters. Wanted to try boneless wing special of buy 10 and get 10 free after Chase Elliott's win at Talladega yesterday. My wife does not like spicy so she ordered 5 plain and I ordered 5 BBQ and we ordered 10 of the same to go. WOW. The order came out. and the wings were like Chicken Mcnugetts.They were the smallest wings I have ever seen. Not to mention they were warm at best, with a rubbery texture, and rather tasteless. Our waitress was friendly, and service was ok. However after she brought our meal, we only saw her once and she never came back to check to see if we needed anything or if our drinks needed refilled. It's kind of funny but Hooters has the reputation of a guys place but it's surprisingly a good restaurant with good service. I wish many other restaurants had service this good. Our hostess seated my gf and I right away and then our waitress was there immediately. She wrote her name and the managers name on a napkin for us as she took our drink order. She had our drinks out right away and took our order with a friendly attitude. Food was out to us quickly, everything was just as it should have been. Our waitress checked in on us several times and made sure our drinks never got below half empty. As I said this location does everything well and I imagine that is due to good leadership as I saw with the manager by him personally checking in on us. This level of service is often not exhibited at much more expensive restaurants. Good food, great service, clean neat environment, I definitely recommend and I'll be back. read more

It's close to my work, so I've been 3 times with co-workers. Just like every other Hooters in the country that has taken a catastrophic nosedive in both service & quality over the past 10-15 years. Food quality & presentation is below average. Cold more often than hot. The "quality" of the food is an epidemic since Hooters has sought cheaper "mass production" food suppliers. Their boneless wings are worse than McD chicken nuggets. Awful. The waitresses? My ex wife was a Hooters waitress in the late 90s, when service was everything, and they were encouraged to have "fun" at work. Now? It's like watching a bunch of bored girls waiting for tips just long enough to squeeze out the door. They dont care. They dont act like they care. Ordered Takeout got there five minutes before the time it said it would be ready. They brought the bag out from the kitchen. Had a less than 8 minute drive home. Everything was cold and tasteless . How can it be that you have a nationally recognized chicken wing restaurant and not have it taste anything like the original restaurants in Tampa! How do you not have some of the same signature sauces! Hot, honey thai?!! How do you bring out mediocre cooked wings and the broken chips of french fries from bottom of the fry basket? I've eaten countless times at a sports bar but this by far is the worst! I'm sorry, but if your looking for some wings maybe travel a quarter of a mile more and eat the wings at buffalo wild wings, maybe they're better. I am not normally that guy but, I really feel like all of this needs to be known! I came in this evening around 8:15-8:30 and took a seat at the bar. The young lady who was bartending was quick to greet me and take a drink order and this is where it starts going downhill. I ordered a soda and she got that for me but failed to ask if I would like to see a menu, I had to ask her for one after a couple of minutes. So I placed my order for a basic burger and fries nothing to complicated. I waited about 8 to 10 minutes for it that's not a bad ticket time, but when I received the dish the burger was pure grease and every fry on the plate was luke warm at best. I would have addressed this issue with the bartender however, she was extremely frazzled and running around like a chicken with her head cut off. I was there approximately 25 minutes and in that time she screamed not once but twice as if though she had seen a ghost, as well as whirling around with another group of guys pitcher of beer and spilled a quarter of it as well as poured almost a full mixed drink onto the bar mat because she was so unattentive. I only received my food after she yelled at someone else to deliver it for her, and upon delivery I had to get up from the bar and go to a table to get salt and ketchup. She never checked back on me until after I had ate the meal, and she acted very annoyed at the fact that I had ordered a soda rather than a alcoholic beverage. I had planned on sticking around and having a drink or two but not after this experience. She made plenty of time for her what I'm assuming was a regular or perhaps even boyfriend as she chatted them up the majority of the time I was there being ignored! That's not even the worst part of the experience though! The what I'm assuming was the manager was on the floor watching all of this go down and he did nothing to help her or myself. He just paced from one side of the bar to the other with a scowl on his face! I realize it's thanksgiving and I'm sure he didn't want to be there but he signed up for the position at least try to be helpful to someone if you're going to be on the clock. I've been in the service industry for years on all sides from back to front of the house and in a management role as well, that's why I didn't want to do this but someone really needs to take a look at what's going on here and address these issues! Just because you're the only place open it doesn't mean that you can shirk you're responsibility to provide for a good experience to you're guests. I'm new to the area and really enjoy coming to hooters and I'll continue coming, just not to this location anymore. We ordered 50 wings for our family. The waitress brought out 1 tray of 15 and 1 tray of 25. Later she comes back with the last 10 and says, "You want some more wings?" Okay, so we got the 50 wings we ordered. She couldn't believe we finished all the wings, and she said to my husband, "And you had extra!" For some reason, she thought she was doing us a favor by "giving" us the last 10 wings that were technically ours. What??? Also, we like our sauce on the side so the breading doesn't get soggy. They charged us $0.99 for each tiny container of sauce....totalling an additional $6 for sauce on the side...ridiculous!!!!! Hooters wings....when we order to go, they always cheat us at least 2 wings every time....and when we eat in, they think they're giving us some for free...HA!!! We went in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised that they were not busy. Got seated and then the wait started. I watched multiple servers walking around and the place was maybe 25% full, no one outside and only one other table in our area. I assume it was our waitress that was busy sitting with them. After figuring out what we were going to order we sat and waited, and waited. I checked my watch and then waited 5 minutes. STRIKE THREE - NEVER AGAIN. I am happy to see there are many positive reviews, but we have tried a few times (even before COVID) and have always been disappointed with the food and service at this location, AND yesterday was the worst. I think the kitchen was staffed by incompetents or very new. I saw very little food coming out as we waited. We didn't complain, but the manager eventually came over after 45min. The manager was pretty sad too when he came over without a clue and offered no solutions. We ended waiting another 15 minutes after he came over - that's an hour at that point. The waitress was trying but didn't do much until we told them we were walking out in five minutes (we had only gotten water at that point). Five minutes later our food shows and most was awful. As expected, the wings were hot and fresh, but the nuggets (boneless wings?) were bottom of the bag rocks and stale. The chicken Philly was the worst. It was obviously an old chicken breast that had been refried on a flattop until it was jerky - it was inedible. After seeing that blank look of the manager's face, we simply ate what we could, paid and left. We should have known after the second failure, but it's so convenient right off the highway. read more

Well i am a fan of hooters but i think because it might have been a busy night when we went. The only thing that made up for it was the customer service we received. We were sat in a high foot traffic area next to a window and the AC so it was freezing. Our waitress was very bubbly and smiled a lot, even tho i could tell she was faking it....its nice to know we were worth the effort. My Husband ordered something he wasn't really wild about...and the manager came over and took it off the bill for us. Ive been dining at this location 20 years and typically have a good experience. Having said that my visit on 12/2 was pretty good in that the wings and beer were good as usual. Where they fell short was the buffalo chicken dip. The dip was heavily processed and finding solid pieces of chicken was difficult. Pretty disgusting. I explained that to the server and asked for queso dip instead. She politely obliged but then carried a container of queso in her hand(not a good sign) and the dip was lukewarm at best. I didnt complain and we ate maybe 20% of the dip. When she brought me the check both the queso and the chicken dip were on my check. I brought it to the servers attention and she gladly removed the chicken dip. Regarding PPE about 75% of the staff working the floor properly wore their masks. The other 25% either had their mask below their nose or in some cases below their mouth. There was no Managment working the floor that I could see in my 2 hours there. Thx. read more

The food was great. Today we had boiled shrimp, Ceasars Salad, Hooters wings - all excellent. Sat outside - very pleasant atmosphere - watched sports on TV while dining. The stereotype of Hooters being an establishment with marginal meals catering to testosterone infused males wanting nothing more than to drink and slobber over the servers is an exaggeration of fact.
