The staff immediately greeted us and promptly led us to our table. The menu is large and varied. One surprise was that they had lobster bisque- we all ordered that as an appetizer. My son ordered wings with fries and coleslaw and my wife and I ordered potato skins. The bisque was very good. When they brought out the rest of the order, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the buffalo wings. For some reason, so many restaurants have turned to serving miniature, anemic chicken wings thinking the customer doesn't care. Bungalow Joes is one of the rare places to serve legitimate chicken wings and legs. They were huge and delicious!!! The potato skins were smaller but full of flavor. The coleslaw was a winner- they called it Caribbean coleslaw and described it as sweeter than typical coleslaw. The coleslaw was sweeter and my son and wife loved it. The fires were good, as well. All in all, we had a great lunch at Bungalow Joe's. Our waitress was great, the food was legit and the atmosphere was perfect for a sports bar. The wings ensured that we will be back. The pickle chips were a little on the salty side. The fish dinner entree was really good with well apportioned pieces of fish, fresh onion rings and cole slaw which was a little weird with the pineapple in them but still tasty. The place was not crowded at all, which was nice, because it gave us a chance to really see what it has to offer. I was the only female in the place that night, so I am guessing the men to women ratio is high ;) When you walk in you will be surprised to see how clean this place is! The bartender was so friendly and made me feel welcome. They have 2 dart boards and a shuffle board/bowling machine, which was really fun. Friday and Saturdays is karaoke, and another night of the week, I believe Tuesday is trivia night. If you play Keno they also have that. This is a neighborhood bar where they treat you like a friend and you can get a cheap beer. I am going back to check out karaoke this weekend.
