The owner initially quoted us a price to fix our engine, but did not follow through on that agreement. We paid $650 upfront and were told we could pay the remaining balance once we obtained the engine. Due to financial hardship, it took some time for us to get the engine, but once we did, the owner refused to honor the original agreement and instead tried to charge a significantly higher amount. I would have never agreed to have the engine taken apart if I had known the quoted price would not be honored. At this point, it feels like we paid $650 for partial work that did not resolve the actual issue. The engine was taken apart, but the root problem was never fixed as promised. Additionally, the explanation provided for the increased labor cost did not feel justified or transparent. Overall, the experience left me feeling taken advantage of. I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and requesting an itemized breakdown before agreeing to any work. Based on my experience, I would not trust verbal agreements with this shop. I hope they improve their customer service and transparency moving forward.

But as it turns out the work performed really improved the performance of my car. The one struct was replaced and now my car sits up much higher than before. Also, the brakes were done and now I can stop on a dime. My only complaint and it's not really a complaint but I would like for someone from the shop to give the customer a daily status update. I sent an email to John's Auto Center over the weekend and was not expecting a response until the…read morefollowing Monday. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a response within an hour. They were able to get my car looked at right away. Simon was so helpful and looked at my car the second I pulled in. He said that the condition of my car was great and that it seemed to be running smoothly. However, he agreed to put it up on the lift to do a general wellness check of the undercarriage of my car. After inspecting it (again, right away) he took me under the car to show me- he said that everything looked to be in great condition. The only thing he did point out was that my tires were needing to be replaced in the near future- and took the time to show me how to check the tire tread. He offered to give me a quote, although I felt no pressure from him to purchase the tires through him/at their shop. I really appreciated that Simon did not try to sell me some part that I didn't need, or to tell me that something should be fixed on my vehicle when everything looked great. Simon had such a genuine way about him, and I could tell that he was very honest and that I could trust him- which is huge! After asking him to look at the cabin filter, it DID need to be replaced- they didn't have one in stock- so Simon ran to the store and was back to replace it within 5 minutes! I was so pleasantly surprised. I was shocked when the general wellness check on my vehicle only cost $50! and he didn't even charge me for the cabin filter... If I had taken my vehicle to GMC, I for sure would have had to wait a week or two for an appointment, then they would certainly keep my vehicle for several days- and a wellness check would definitely cost upwards to $200. Needless to say- I will be doing ALL of my future motor / car needs to John's Auto Center!

My insurance company sent an agent out to my location to document the damage and mentioned Accurate Collision and Auto Repair on Merriman because they are a farmers preferred partner. Accurate is really close to my house, so I decide to go there. However, I wish I would have done more research and read more reviews. The repair process took quite some time, weeks flew by and I had no transportation. The manager there is Steve and he assured me I would get my vehicle back in a timely manner of 7 days or less. Well, after a week and a half, I called Accurate Collision after not hearing back and was told it would be another week. OK, whatever, I get it that stuff happens, but the least you could do is call me and let me know you need more time. I had to call back again after another week and a half, because they never call you to tell you anything. Steve told me he it would be an additional week, I was getting pretty frustrated at this point. Steve gave me unrealistic time frames for when my car would be ready and after multiple calls throughout two month and dealing with poor customer service, my car was finally ready. When I finally picked up my car I was ecstatic to have it back. I got in my car and peeled outta there. Everything was good until I noticed things about the door that I didn't when I got it (I just wanted to GTFO of there). The first thing I noticed is some weatherstripping missing, my keyfob wasn't working correctly, the door was misaligned, the door lock would grab my key when I went to open the door and the only way to get it out was to wiggle for some time until it found the correct position for it to release. I could go on, but the point of it is that the repair wasn't even close to being 'accurate'. Over the time frame of two years I called Steve to tell him about these issues and had to leave my car there numerous times, but the problems were never fixed. I told him that I never had any of these issues before and he didn't believe me and blamed it on high mileage. So how come I am having all these issues with the door you just replaced? I gave up all hope of getting my door accurately fixed by these schmucks and had to get the claims adjuster involved. He had me take it to Varsity Lincoln where I got it fixed within a week and a half. The only reason it took a bit long is because they actually got the parts Steven was suppose to get, so I'm sure it would have been fixed even quicker.
