I replaced an outer tie rod and took it to Dan & Chuck's for the necessary alignment. They took great care of me. I needed to have the new tie rod greased (I don't have a grease gun). These guys could have charged me to do that... aside from buying a grease gun and the grease and then jacking it up again, I was kind of at their mercy. No charge. While I'm very much an on-time person, I found myself unable to make it until a half hour after my appointment time. They totally got me in and taken care of. Listening to them deal with their other customers... I always pay attention to how people treat people and they obviously care about all their customers. While I only had an alignment so I can't judge on their skills more than that... they did a great job and they seemed knowledgeable enough to handle any automotive repair. Give these guys a chance. There are too few good shops around and it's great to support those shops are. Thanks guys.

I paid $525 for an exhaust pipe, and got half of the pipe put on. And still need a windpipe! What a rip off!! Bad Mechanics and not trustworth. I would have gave them 0 stars, if they were available. Scammers…read more110% Caught red handed several times for one friggin job, which they had to redo because of their installation, so instead they called Monroe and said they gave them bad parts and got new ones. That's Monroe's loss because the reason the struts were no good was because they left the giant stickers across the top of them and they couldn't seat to the car. I drove my sister an hour on the freeway twice with the car like this, steering all unsteady. They even tried to fake it like they fixed the struts and called me begging to get the car which I couldn't, only to call the next morning and found out it wasn't pulled in until then. So he was trying (desperately) to get me to pick up the car, (I'm sure with they had cut the stickers out, because it had never entered the shop yet. They put the struts in the next day when they arrived. Had I picked up my car Mike would have made up a story about me picking up my car I am sure and kept the brand new struts from Monroe, hoping I wouldn't notice in the few days left I had in my warranty that the car was still unstable. There was also a very serious problem with the rear axle which I know they had their hands on to put shocks on but they didn't mention it to me because they Cherry picked their work. This is how I first met Mike at the telegraph location. I have worked on cars at home, I'm aware of how much shops charge, and asked him for a quote. It was so long ago I don't remember specifically it might been a hub, but I recognize an "I don't want to do it" price when I see it. Later it turned out it cost half of what he had quoted me being the point. So I already knew the telegraph location was sketchy then they moved the sketchy guy to the Ecorse location so that makes me think that they're all sketchy and I'm done with them and I think anyone should be warned the same.

This is the most unprofessional shop, looks pretty shady, and finally pathological liars. I came in for a simple service for my car and to make sure everything is alright. But it turned into a nightmare. I can hear the employees not wanting to work and even telling customers false information, I'm no mechanic but I do a lot of work with service shops and I am a car enthusiast myself. To tell a customer they need to change their fuel pump to be able to get more life out of the oil as well as fixing a thermostat doesn't seem pretty fair. Also telling customers that oil changes may take up to 3 hours to get done? Ridiculous. DO NOT COME HERE PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF! Someone needs to come in this place of business and make some big changes.

So once I got checked in, he told me it should be only about a 40 minute wait, so I waited and it really only took about 30 minutes, I was in and out real quick and then I headed right to work. The good thing is they open at 7 and my appointment was for 7:30 and I was driving out the lot at 8 am and at work by 8:15!
