Hands down one of the best roasteries I've been to. I'm not big on coffee (this disappoints all my coffee friends) but I did deeply enjoy the latte I drank here. I could taste the quality and how they had recently roasted the beans. I enjoyed the richness and depth of the coffee beans in the espresso. I also really liked the kougin amann - I feel this is how they should taste; crispy outside, fruity inside, no hassle when I chew and keeps me relaxed. The staff is exceptional - I liked how the owner struck up a conversation with us about where we are from and my friends traveling. The vibes are that of a roastery with massive brick walls like a Brooklyn warehouse with cozy seats, games, and (assuming) art from where they get their beans. I'll be returning :) read more

First time at Full City Rooster and it definitely won't be my last! I came to meet a friend for coffee but ended up trying their chai, which was amazing, and even tried kava for the first time. Great coffee shop find for anyone who wants a delicious cup. I opted for the pour over and it was fantastic. They have a nice space in the back and little bar top in the front for working and enjoying a sip. No frills type of shop but all the flavor in the coffee beans. Very good service. Family friendly! My chai tasted like thanksgiving (aka it was perfect), and my husband's vanilla latte was the BEST he's ever had... he genuinely couldn't get over it. This has become one of my favorite shops! The baristas are friendly and always make delicious, high-quality drinks - my favorites are their cortados & mochas (not sickly sweet and a darker cocoa flavor)! This shop has a parking lot and there is plenty of street parking nearby. There's lots of indoor & outdoor seating, and one of my favorite aspects of this shop is that it seems to be a gathering place for the community - when I'm there weekend mornings there are always tables of friends catching up which makes the vibes very enjoyable/welcoming! read more

This coffee shop caught our attention with their pride flag outside and had an amazing drinks! Their menu was straight to the point and made it easy to decide what we wanted. The cold brew was smooth and balanced. The chai was perfectly sweetened. The staff were friendly and welcoming, they even guided us to the hidden cafe part in the back. The Cedars is at the beginning of a long road to becoming the best spot in Dallas to be. For now though, it is still a fantastic, walkable eclectic mix of rugged industrial, historic architecture, and small indie businesses. One of these indie shops is Full City Rooster. I stopped in twice and had an iced Latte. The crew was great. Very nice, good eye contact, they seemed genuinely happy and made some good casual conversation. The coffee was fantastic as well. Good pull on the espresso, not burned, and the balance of milk to espresso was ideal. The space itself is cool, (feels smidge stark as far as seating), but the aesthetic and atmosphere, as well as the patrons, made this spot a fave to stop in. read more

Coffee was good. Maybe a 7/10. Better than Starbucks for sure. Definitely not a 4.9 rating. Coffee is dark roast. There were no medium or ligjt roast options. Which would have been nice for a truley craft coffee experience. We got three drinks. The milk for all three drinks was steamed Together and not textured well. While in Dallas for our anniversary, we stopped at Full City Rooster's Cafe. We have been searching for excellent coffee ever since we relocated from Seattle to Dallas, and wow, this coffee shop did not disappoint. Due to how excellent the coffee was, we actually visited the coffee shop twice throughout the weekend. There is parking available both on the street and off to the side of the building. We were welcomed by the staff at the coffee shop warmly, and it was clear that they genuinely care about the community and their customers. You can add either brown sugar or simple syrup to the iced latte, which is what I ordered. I chose the simple syrup, which gave the beverage a nice balance of flavors. The latte itself was on par with coffee I'd find in the Pacific Northwest and slightly acidic, which I appreciate. I'm excited about our next visit to Full City Rooster! read more

I stayed in Dallas for the eclipse and needed a good coffee shop, lucky for me I stayed at an AirBnB a block away from this place! I didn't buy any of their beans but their coffee was incredible and service was lovely, it felt like an intimate shop where everyone really knew each other. I have been pals with Wyatt, the head honcho, unofficial mayor of the cedars, since 1998 or so. Family gatherings. Road trips to Austin for concerts. Really good pals. I wouldn't review the place and give it highest marks if it was only ever Wyatt at the counter/roaster though... kinda recuse myself of so much bias. I review now, perhaps late, because Wyatt has stepped back a bit and lets other people work the store when he isn't there, and... theyre great! Everyone seems to embrace the philosophy of old coffee shops: stimulating conversation. I have now three or four times come in to see Wyatt, found him gone, and stumbled into conversation with the new hires, or other customers, and I truly feel compelled to testify that the legacy endures, the empire remains, and the citizens prosper. read more

You can see their roaster in the front of the house. My iced latte was perfectly crafted with rich coffee beans. They rotate what coffee they use, but always display the week's blend up front. Space: It's a beautiful space with outdoor seating and a large back room with couches and tables with plenty of outlets. They also have free password protected wifi that's strong and reliable. I ordered the iced oat milk latte and added brown sugar for sweetness, and it was super delicious. Honestly this is the best coffee I've had in DFW since moving back from Seattle, so if it was closer to where I live I would easily be a regular. He has probably forgotten more about coffee roasting (he does the roasting himself on site in his custom made roaster) the varieties are seemingly endless and you can watch and he loves telling you what's going on, and you can take some home. Beyond that, friends, artists , writers, Community members hang out , have meetings, show their work, there are frequently performances by interesting, talented, musicians, poets, etc. always a fresh pile of interesting books to read. I almost always fun great conversation if I want it our peace and quiet if I need it. Obviously we all LOVE this place.
