This is such a quaint and homey little spot! It's settled in one of the hot spots of south Dallas, close to Bishop Arts and Kessler. The street gives small town vibes while being in the middle of a big city. The shop itself is small and cozy. I got the chia latte and it was strong but rich with the oat milk I added. I sat at the table by the window and was in my own little world. Exactly what I wanted. I will say it was freezing inside, but it's probably because I was by the window and it was freezing outside. You know it's a good coffee shop when they carry beans aside from Ethiopian and Guatemala!! Finally found a place that serves Kenyan beans. I'd give this place more than 5 stars if possible. Didn't catch his name but the dude with the stache makes a mean pour over. Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Ambiance was warm and welcoming. I haven't been here in so long. Friday was chill vibes on a gloomy day. Ordered a vanilla latte with almond milk. It was way to sweet so I'll order less syrup next time. The coffee itself is always on point. Espresso is acidic and fruity to me. Love this place to meet up with friends or get work done. The music is loud so its not my preference when I have calls. I visited this location while I was in the area, after having visited the other location a few months ago, It's not as roomy, but it does still have a nice coffee shop vibe. I wanted to grab an espresso, and maybe get some beans. After a brief chat with the barista, I received my order.. in a paper cup. I guess there's nothing wrong with that; the shot tasted great and came with a bit of sparkling water, also in a paper cup, but I guess I'd just assume that a "dine in" order would be fulfilled in porcelain. Still, it was a tasty and fruity shot, and I wandered over to the bags. Looking at the offerings, I selected one from a roaster called Obadiah, based in the UK. I had never heard of them, but a quick web search suggested they put out some quality goods, and after getting them home, they definitely were quite tasty. A good, light roast with lots of fruity goodness. This was just a quick visit, but the shop is nice, the staff was welcoming, and the spro was great! read more

AMBIANCE Ample seating arrangements with wooden-backed booths, high top window seating, and general dining area for 2-4 individuals with soft pop playing, hanging potted plants, light conversational buzz, and inspiring quotes. I usually come here to work once or twice a week and most of the time I have a decent experience. Today, a customer walked in with a pet cat that jumped on the counter and proceeded to walk near the area the area where drinks are being made. I did not see a barista wipe down that area or ask the customer to take his cat off the counter. He did take his cat down. He then walked his cat around. It was an unpleasant experience as I also have terrible allergies. I then chose to leave before my intended time because I could feel my allergies start to flare up. Some my not have a problem with pets being in a place of business but I find it quite uneasy that a cat is crawling on counter and sitting in booths with cat hair flying around in a place that is serving food and drinks. There was also no marking of this cat being a service animal. I ask that they update their policy that pets are allowed inside if it is a service animal only. Thank you. read more

This place is SO CUTE. I wanted to visit the neighborhood and this was the first coffee shop to pop up. Clean aesthetic, simple menu, plenty of seating. My kinda place. I attended an event and fell in love with this place! I don't drink coffee, but I did get a Matcha drink with almond milk and it was delicious. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere is so lite and airy. the conference room was an added bonus because we were able to talk and laugh as loud as we want without interrupting those who are there studying or working. I definitely recommend this place for small business meetings or a relax work environment. read more

I got a London fog latte and loved it! I've been on a big tea latte kick lately and have found a lot of places making them too sweet however the barista did a very good job. My drink came out quickly and I was able to find a seat during a busy time. They have plugs under most of the seats too which is so convenient. I was finally able to get a significant amount of work done so while it is a little noisy in here, it wasn't chaotic enough to distract me. I will be back. read more

Great first time visiting this coffee shop! The coffee was great and so was the service. I told them I hadn't been in before and the guy kinda talked me through their drink menu. I think got something called the golden hour...or rush...something with the word gold in it lol. Anyways, I ordered it with oat milk and it was so good! Love the location of this shop too. There's street parking nearby but with all of the small businesses around, don't be surprised if you have to park up the street and walk during the busier hours of the day. We went around 10ish AM and it was still busier than I anticipated. Which is great for them! Love that they're getting such great business! Wayward has great esthetic btw and with lots of different seating options. We got lucky that their comfy couch was available so my daughter and I snagged that. Fun coffee shop in bishop arts/ has plants everywhere and some fun decor. Coffee is pretty Good and they sometimes have a grill outside to make breakfast on the weekends. Parking is available near it, but you may have to walk a little (street parking). Downsides is that it's pretty small so sometimes there is no seating, not a ton of outlets, and seating isn't comfy at all. They do have outdoor seating for when it is nice outside which is a perk. Fun spot if you've never been to grab some coffee and a pastry with a friend. read more

Came in last fall and forgot to review till now (oops). I really loved the shop! Knowledgeable baristas who were helpful and patient. The shop was pretty busy and not a lot of seating so we sat at the communal table and worked for about an hour. It was quiet and I was able to focus, which was nice! I came here for a quick study spot an hour before they closed. I chose the iced Gold Rush coffee drink and it was great! It's a cute spot with warm natural lighting and plenty of desks for individual seating to do work but it's a bit cramped. It wasn't too loud when I went but it was nice to see a group of people catching up/having fun. Service was alright, they were not mean but they were not welcoming either.
