As a first time customer I was reliant on the advice of my insurer to lead me into the trusting hands of the seldom found honest auto repair specialist. Well, I finally found one: Lobalbo Brothers in Stamford. I walked in with a humble vehicle that needed a little attention and walked out with a million dollar roadster (or at least I think so) at no extra cost to me. These gentlemen went out of their way numerous times, during the one week stay that my car was in their care, to assure that I would be wowed. And I was!!! I asked for absolutely nothing and they gave me everything!! Lobalbo Brothers deserve your attention and your car deserves theirs. I am extremely happy for their thoughtful and kind services and for their generosity towards my car. This company is a family-owned treasure trove and we have got to support them so they never go away. I've never had to get my own car serviced and repaired before so I wanted to know that I was in good hands. I went on facebook and asked the harbor point group what people recommended for auto repair and the great reviews of scottys caught my eye. I called up scottys and they let me know they were booked for the next 2 days (it was the first) but they said to drop it off and that they would do their best to look at it beforehand. sure enough I got a call the next day with a breakdown of what needed to be done. They gave me an estimate which was HALF WHAT THE JEEP DEALER QUOTED US, plus it didnt include some of the nonsensical stuff they suggested to fix that scottys said did not need to be done. ultimately they were able to get everything done before we headed out for vacation. when I went to go pick it up, they had admitted there was a communication error and that it wasnt ready just yet and that it would be another hour or so. I mentioned that I had just took an uber and had a lot of other things to try to work on and to see if they could try to give me an accurate time estimate. the guy there (isaac i think) just handed me a set of keys and said heres a loaner ill call you! that alone made this a 6 star experience! talk about admitting to a mistake and making up for it with phenomenal service. anywho, i know where ill be getting my oil changed moving forward! thank you guys!

After telling me they were going to waive the diagnosis fee, they took three hours to diagnose the problem and falsely told me I needed to get multiple different things replaced, costing over $2800. After telling them I was going to try and get a 2nd opinion, they charged me $180+ just for the diagnosis. I am now getting it fixed at another place for less than $1000. These guys are thieves!

Spent a ton of time, energy and money to get the fuel pump replaced. Couple of days later, stopped at a gas station and noticed gas gushing out from the rear of the car. Took the car to the same shop next day and they won't troubleshoot the issue for me. Told me the fuel neck is probably rusty and just don't fill the tank to the top. Well, I never had any issues with the fuel neck/seal or filling gas prior to this fuel pump replacement job. A few days later my check engine light came on for the same reason as the fuel evaps leak detected. They didn't help me with any of these issues despite charging a hefty amount for fuel pump replacement. Zero customer service. I won't be back for any of my car service needs at this location and do not recommend this service shop to anyone.

As stated in another review Joe is extremely well-trained and skilled at diagnostics and auto repair. Although they are foremost BMW and Audi experts, they can easily handle any make/model. They love working on Italian cars, btw. Agree that they are a hidden gem for auto repair! They are very, very trustworthy; repair estimates and costs are always very fair, if not under the market. I love these guys and recommend them highly. We own 5 cars and they service all of them (Toyota, Honda (2), Fiat, Subaru...Volvo and Ford in the past). You will not be disappointed. I would give them 6 stars if it were possible!
