They helped me navigate my options and end up with a sensible approach to my 100 year-old dining chair. The supplies are reasonable and comprehensive. Just a wonderful experience.

I've always enjoyed walking the fabric aisles to admire the vibrant colors and unique upholstery designs. They usually have great remnants at good prices, but today, I have to say, I was very disappointed--and this will likely be my last visit. While browsing the precut remnants, I noticed an employee staring at me. I moved to another section of the table, but the same employee "coincidentally" hovered near me again. I ignored it and kept looking, determined to find a piece for a special project I had in mind. As soon as I found something I liked, I turned around to see her standing nearby, pivoted toward me, and she commented, "I see you found something." After a long day at work, I was simply looking for a quick, creative outlet to pick up some fabric for my design project. Instead, I felt scrutinized and uncomfortable. As an avid fabric purchaser who regularly shops in fabric stores from Raleigh to High Point and NYC, this was a disheartening experience. Most stores I frequent are welcoming and allow me to browse freely without unnecessary oversight. Mills Outlet, please do better. Your customers come to you for inspiration, not judgment. You never who could be shopping in your store.

The "bitchy" ladies behind the desk must be the reason for it. Stonewalled any questions we had about if they had anything more in the warehouse. Flyer said they were clearing out all inventory including what was in their warehouse. Only had Queen bedroom sets on the floor and we wanted a king. We were told that they could only look it up by specific set number and to check with a sales person. So we did. And what did he do when we asked. Go straight to that same desk to ask. I think she saw who he was asking for and told him the same thing. With a snotty attitude I will add. How were they planning on selling out of inventory when they wouldn't even check the inventory. ‍. We left and after calming down we decided we'd try the Wilson store. TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE!!! Sales man was over the top helpful and checked on inventory. AND we left with a king size full bedroom set that was totally in stock in the warehouse. I'll finish with this, I hate their going out of business after 138 years but evidently there their tired of dealing with the repeat customers.

Asked if Gray or Beige and they said Beige but brought cushion in and still swore it matched beige. Got home and definitely didn't match. (Vision problems). Called hour later and said sorry but not sorry. All to make a sale. Shame on them. Shame on me. And they said the original price was double what it actually was so really no deal. Loaded into my car and ripped tags off so I have no tags. Sneaky and disgraceful.

We immediately felt at home with Zaki, his wife, and his staff. They took the time to walk with us throughout his immense showroom and explain the histories and details of his one-of-a-kind rugs, of which there were thousands. The prices of the rugs were more than reasonable, and Zaki is donating his earnings to an incredible cause - a charity focused on building orphanages and educating underprivileged children in Pakistan, where he grew up and has worked for years to give young people opportunities. Suffice it to say that we left High Point feeling wonderful.

His selection of rugs is unsurpassed, his knowledge is encyclopedic, and best of all, he is one of the finest human beings that you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. My wife and I have purchased several rugs from Zaki in the past 10 years, and we have likewise guided relatives, friends and neighbors to his showroom. I could go on for thousands of words about the incredibly vast selection of rugs, the heirloom quality of their construction, and the beauty of the designs, but words cannot convey the true impact of spending time with Zaki and his team. Like most of his clients, we were profoundly saddened to learn that he will likely be closing the showroom in 2020, in order to focus on his incredibly generous charitable endeavors, working with children in his native Pakistan. There is only one Zaki, go there now, while you can!

As a principal designer (with a key focus on interiors) at an award-winning national practice, I have worked with countless retailers, supply houses and interiors consultancies. Without question, these folks are my absolute favorite supply partners and I work with them every possible chance I get (note that they also offer trade pricing should you happen to be an architect or designer). Over the years my wife and I have bought several pieces from them at various price points and have always been impressed by their level of service, responsiveness, kindness, enthusiasm and overall product (and industry) knowledge. I really appreciated her gesture and ended up keeping the order. She was very responsive through the entire process and I can't rave enough about my experience. Thank you Ivy and as I had let you know, you have a lifetime customer.
