My fried pickles took too long. Ordered them as a appetizer and got them with my lunch. Still food tastes really good.

Good morning so delighted we stopped here... I ordered the veggie Skillet and a side order of sausage patties and he ordered biscuits and gravy with hash browns with coffee and I had a coffee Russian... Their smashed potatoes are fabulous... Service was excellent food was excellent we'll come back again and again and 4 after 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning we were able to find a table we wanted the atmosphere is casual friendly and they want to address whatever your foodie needs are... Took my 2 teenage boys there for dinner and what seemed to be "Just Ok" food was not worth the $65.00 check! $12.95 for a small bowl of Mac n Cheese. The $10.00 cheese sticks were tasteless and cold! My son had some boneless BBQ over cooked chicken pieces. I ordered a drink from their Breast Cancer Awareness menu and however I am happy that a portion of the proceeds went to the cancer foundation I think they forgot that it was suppose to have alcohol in it! I have been here 5 times and was very unimpressed this time. I think I will take my $65.00 to the grocery store next time. I can do 1000 times better myself.. read more

Pretty good food but way over priced. $13.50 for a French dip, is too much. The beers we had were good.. They were cold and served in a chilled glass, but at $5.50 a glass, was once again way too much. This was the 4th time we've eaten there, and each time it seems to be less crowded. Not sure what the hype is about. Bar food at best. My daughter had the kids chicken strips and they were rubbery and hard. Picture calamari texture. I had the BBQ burger and there was little to no BBQ. IHOP or Denny's has the same food but better prices. The menu was lack luster. I thought I would see something outside the box to bring me back. Sadly this wasn't the case. Kids also both had different flavored lemonades. It was watered down and had no flavor. It's rare that my kids don't drink their specialty drink. I also thought their kids menu was priced high. I think bobs has the same price but kids get a Dessert too which makes it more worth it. Atmosphere was nothing special and service was average. Im giving this 4 stars for the food & drinks. Love everything ive eaten here! And the drinks that come in the cool ice cup are my fav. However, i had really horrible service here tonight. Walked in and the hostess was cleaning tables, saw me walk in but left me standing there until a waitress came over to assist me. Then our server (tofur) took 10 mins to even greet us, took our order before even giving us water. And brought us a water cup with visible lipstick on the rim. Im not a germ freak but geeze! Mozzarella sticks were good, but that's where it ended. The burgers and fries were way too greasy. Couldn't finish eating cause of how heavy the grease was. I don't mind paying more for food when it tastes good, but this was definitely not worth the money paid. Won't be back. read more

This place is great! Food is good and not too expensive. Compares with Red Robbin and Bob's. But best of all is their Brews. Ice cold; just above freezing point, through a special process that I can't explain here. But they can tell you when you go and see for yourself. A great variety. Service is outstanding. Worst service I have ever had. Took two hours to get food and checks, the avocados on my salad were rock hard, chicken was freezing cold, no one got their meals at the same time, had to ask another server to take our order after waiting for our server to show up for a hour. This is a great place to come with teenage kids. The food portions are adequate and the atmosphere unique. While I usually appreciate staff checking in it was a bit too much and I felt a little rushed. The hop jacks pale ale is delicious and I would suggest it to anyone. The kids enjoyed their meal with raving reviews about the tater tots and the sauce that comes on the chicken sandwich. I had the Cobb salad which was great. Not worth your drive, time or money. The place looks decent but it is extremely loud! Sitting in a booth with 3 people and barely being able to hear the person next to me is not how I want to spend my dinner time. Our server looked like she was either stressed out or on something...she barely checked on us. We ordered wings as an appetizer and beside the fact that the wings came out WITH our food, they were cold! The wings were also swimming in grease or their sauce that they claim will become famous (not a chance). I tried one of my fries and those must thrown into a pile of salt. Only third night open. Decent food...decent beer selection. Nothing special. Love another place to choose from though. Staff was friendly, but not organized. Needed a manager or something overseeing the operation. Will go back because our options are limited and I want every place to succeed in the area. Typical burgers etc... not much different than bobs. Will stay at bobs though 9 times out of 10. Maybe a little more experience and training will up the service. If you're looking for some consistent and ordinary American grub you can't go wrong with Hop Jack's. Nothing too special but the food is fine and it's a good family-friendly place. Their iced taps and "34 degree" beer is pretty gimmicky in my opinion as most of the good craft beers aren't meant to be served that cold. Not a huge deal in my book but I've always thought it was a little strange how proud they are of that. read more

my family and i would come in here all the time and enjoyed it a ton. but we haven't stopped in recently due to the fact we were served beer that tasted like metal and was hardly carbonated and when we told the server how awful they tasted, compared to the other times they were so refreshing, she gave us the impression we were bothering her more than anything. what made it worse is she seemed to be one of the managers or shift leads at the time. not only that she didn't swap them out and then charged us for the beers and never apologized once. haven't came back since and don't plan to after wasting so much money at a place that obviously didn't value us being regulars. read more

Three of us ate lunch in the bar today around 1. Our waitress Jeannie was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. One of the people in my group ordered a Coors Light. She said it tasted off, and the two of us at the table also tried it. It tasted watered down. She notified our server who notified the manager. He came over after 5 minutes or so and said he tasted it and the bartender did also and it was fine. That's it. Didn't offer to repour it, didn't offer to let her change to a different beer, nothing. The rest of our visit went fine. Food was good and a came out fast. After we paid the manager came over to ask how the rest of our visit went. Someone in our group said she was surprised he didn't offer a different beer after it was called to his attention is wasn't up to par for our friend. He STILL didn't understand he didn't handle the situation appropriately. read more

honestly this is better then bobs burgers and brew and red robin. the alcohol is very reasonably priced and happy hour runs 7 days a week which really makes it a great place to grab a drink with your friends. the staff is friendly, the envoirment is very invinting and the food is fantastic. its become my new favorite place to eat and i have been here numerous times and never left unhappy. read more

First time to a hopjacks! Everybody was friendly walking in, however I was REALLY disappointed by our server! I asked how many wings came with order and she stated 8-10, I received 7!! I asked for my wings to have light sauce, but apparently that meant no sauce!! When I brought this up to our server she stated "so do you want it or not"! I think that was extremely rude! Service is horrendous! I've been to Hop Jacks 3 times now. The service was poor the 1st 2 visits, and I forgivingly chalked it up to just a new restaurant working through the bumps. But last night was the worst! I sat at the bar - I was there for 10 min. During this time I was completely ignored by both bartenders. I use to come here all the time. Always had great service. Not this time. We came and took almost 10 minutes to get seated. Once we were seated a gentleman came up to us to tell us that they are doing a raffle. I thought that was pretty neat so we filled out our ticket and waited for the waitress to come back to take our order and pick up our ticket. The waitress didn't come back for quite some time so when the gentleman walked by again I said here is our ticket and he said that they had already drawn a name. So that was a little disappointing. Then the waitress comes to take the order and I told her specifically what items I would like on the side of the nachos. We get our food and I have sour cream and guacamole in the middle of the nachos not something easily to take off without making a mess. So I just ate around those chips. Then I asked for a lemonade to go since that will be my last lemonade as we were getting ready to head out and they bring lemonade in a regular glass. I just feel that service has gone downhill since we were in before. Not sure if it's new employees but we will probably not be back anytime soon. read more

I was impressed with the quality of food as the meals seem to be made fresh. I ordered the Street Tacos and my wife had the Kyle sandwich. The street tacos were seasoned appropriately and the tortilla chips were tasty. The server was very attentive to our needs and our lunch meal came in a timely manner. The cost of our meal was close to $45 for a family of 5 so it's a little more expensive then we are used to paying. Overall, I would recommend this establishment especially at Happy Hour (2-6 and then after 9) which we didn't get a chance to enjoy. read more
