Drab seating, drab carpeting, drab etc. Either the Architect missed it, or the Owner didn't care. Men's room with privacy screen missing and holes in the wall. For a new place, this is unacceptable. Seemed like too many greeter hosts, too much kitchen help, not a lot of supervision. Too many distractions to have a good lunch and a beer. I will try it again in a month or two, after the opening month jitters wear off. read more

*sigh* Guys, service, service is everything at a sit down restaurant. I dropped by Hop Jack's and found myself pleased with my food, but again just aggravated with service. My drink was originally served to a different table, that's not mentioning the long wait for it, and the water I had to hold me over was refilled only once. The point that I rarely saw my server was frustrating. If I'm going to Hop Jack's, I'm going to Kennewick. Service here is still terrible nearly 8 months after my last review. read more

I eat dinner here occasionally, but I always sit at the bar. The bartenders are excellent (especially Mel), and they always remember me and what I usually order (very impressive, since I usually only go about once a month). Their beer selection is decent, including their house beers; I really like the Hopjacks IPA. The food is excellent, I've had several of their burgers and the fries are great. Overall an excellent place to grab a beer and a burger, and if you go frequently you can be sure the bartenders will remember you with a smile! read more

The food was AMAZING! I'd highly recommend the bbq Mac n cheese. Their drink menu looked amazing. Our service was great and I don't think I heard a single unhappy person in the whole, packed, place. The salad I had here was great. Ordered the BBQ chicken with the avocado. Paired well with the Wicked Cider they had on tap (Apple pie). $6.50 for the 22 ounce size. Believe it was the only cider on tap but the price of it is keeping me from taking a star away. The regular salad was fair sized but a bit pricey at $10.95 (-1 star). The larger one was $13+. Fast service but we sat in the bar and it was late so I can't attest to how they are when it's busier. read more

The manager came over to apologize for the long wait and brought us the food herself even though we never complained or anything! Also, the drinks were AMAZING! We were seated at a booth for 15 minutes and not a single server said a word to us but all stared as they walked by. 20 minutes later they hadn't even taken our drink order so we got up and left. I am a delivery driver for doordash. I've never visited your restaurant before. Today I received an order to deliver from your restaurant and upon entering the atmosphere was pleasant. The hostess was so sweet and eager to help. She got the order for me right away. She helped me to my car with the order. Talking to her on the way I mentioned I'd never been to Hops n Drops. She was amazed and said "Oh you'd love the place! I got the job here because I love this place. " She raved about the restaurants food and how much she loved her job. She was very helpful and friendly. Side note she also handed me a bag of your fresh made chips that she said were for me when I arrived at her podium to pick up the food. So wonderful that you all give a treat to drivers who arrive to deliver. Made me feel important to you. Plus the chips were delicious. Thanks for the job well done!!! Stopped for lunch to check out this fairly new place in south Richland. NOT impressed. Prices are higher than at Bob's Burgers & Brew just across the parking lot, and the menu is limited. The service was okay, but with the number of waitstaff on duty someone should be checking drink levels often. The place wasn't crowded, but it took about fifteen minutes to get my burger after ordering. And their tauted "homemade potato chips" leave a lot to be desired. Bland flavor (not a touch of salt), not even warm, and some were soggy. My meal certainly didn't look like those in the photos posted on Yelp. Just a burger tossed in a paper-lined plastic basket with a handful of chips. Won't go back. read more

Went here for dinner instead of Bob's burgers. Was expecting the typical chain restaurant food and that's pretty much what it was. I had the most tasteless Cobb salad I've ever had. Also had boneless wings and they were as dry as a bone with little to no sauce (I'm sure they came straight out of a box) I usually try to avoid chain restaurants and now I remember why. I just have to say how impressed I am with Hop Jack's on Queensgate. We went for lunch and we waited for maybe 5-10 minutes after being seated before someone came to greet us and take our drink order. I had noticed it had been awhile but not a huge deal. The manager came over and apologized and gave us a $25 gift card. It was totally unnecessary but super awesome that he went above and beyond to make sure that we knew that they appreciated our business and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with our service. I was a little disappointed that a place named for Hops did not have more vested interest in beer and incorporating beer into their dishes. Waited forever to be seated and there were empty places everywhere. Apparently the hostess was on a break and the lady at the front couldn't be bothered to seat us. When we were finally seated the hostess was rude. When the waitress took our drink order, it (again) took forever to get our drinks. We almost left but then our drinks arrived. We ordered appetizers and the boneless wings came out cold. The mozzarella sticks were lukewarm. Both were mediocre tasting. I could definitely get better anywhere else. Our food was terrible considering we paid over $70 for the entire experience. Drink refills were nearly impossible as we sat there with empty glasses even after asking for refills. When they finally did arrive we got two, which was fine, but shows how disorganized they are. I've been to Hop Jack's at least 4 times and every experience has been the same. This was it - I will never go back. The only reason for the second star is because our waitress was nice, as was the gentleman that took our hot wing order back and made a hot one and compensated us for it. read more

The food is ok for bar food but when entertaining a large group we were told we are too loud and the police could arrest us for public intoxicating after 2 drinks. Oh, where to begin. Meatloaf burger was basically a hamburger patty with onions cooked into it. Not sure how that makes it meat loaf but whatever, it had bacon on it. The tots were over cooked and when I told the server she did substitute them for fries at not extra charge. I thought that was great until the fries arrived and they were more less the little pieces at the end of bag. I thought that this was a breakfast place; however, they are not. They serve american food and it's pretty good. I had never heard of this place before so I didn't know what to expect but overall my experience was good. they have two sections, a bar section and dining. the bar has TVs, and lots of places to sit. The dining area does not have any TVs ( I mention the TV's because during football season my husband wants to eat lunch at places that have TVs). The service is good, the food is good and I have never had to wait long to be seated. I wouldn't say I have a favorite item but I like it more than some other restaurants in town. read more
