Quarantine has me flashing back to all the good times, and some of my best times were after-work happy hours at Hopsaint. I can't recreate those times anymore thanks to a deadly virus going around, but a few clicks on Grubhub, and I can at least get the food delivered to my door. With the food flows the memories. I love that creamy, kicky Shrimp Dynamite sauce, a dish that's kicked off many social gatherings. I can see us choosing our first round of beers, getting excited about the latest IPA as we scoop forkfuls of Baked Brie topped with fruit or jam. The Pure Intention IPA always makes an appearance as the meatier stomach-fillers start to come out. The hops play off a lighter Catfish Po Boy on a baguette that is good enough to be a French. We always get the brisket with extra fat when we can, but tonight the Brisket Po Boy will do just fine. Those cubes of brisket are coated with a sugary glaze that makes them taste like meat candy. Chicken Drumettes count as an app, but they can be substantial when you're not sharing. The smokiness is great, but those pickles are just as easily the best part of the plate. I miss the shared experience of discovery, the bonding over beers, but hang in there, guys, we'll get back to Hopsaint someday. Until then, we're all just waiting for the day we take off our masks to pass the brisket and the beers. read more

HopSaint was a great brewery spot to get a pour after a dry party. Located in a random plaza. Good amount of parking. Patio seating and inside seating. Decent crowd on a Sunday afternoon. They have lots of TV's for sports. Service was nice. Food came out fast. Beer ranges from $7-$8 depending on the type of beer you drink. IPA was $8. I've been here once and had their beer multiple times at local spots. It's a solid brewery. They make mostly standard beers and a few outside the box ones too. I really enjoyed their Bring the Noise and Bring the Nelson IPA's. Their food looks good too but we did not try anything. I will say that I've had a hard time reaching someone about buying their beer for an account. They never called me back. read more

This brewery is a hidden gem in LA, where good breweries are hard to come by. Tucked away in a little plaza off the road, the location may be slightly tricky to find but is well worth the search. Once you step inside, you're greeted with a phenomenal selection of beers on tap. As the name "Hopsaints" suggests, they offer several delicious hazy beers to enjoy. I don't know how I never knew this place existed. It used to be a dinner years ago and I never thought of going there but I friend recommended it. I was amazing food and service. I loved the chili, I would 100% recommendation. The beer was good, we tried a few different on the table. If you are thinking of going I would definitely recommend. read more

We came and tried a handful of fancy beers/ciders and they were very good. Definitely had some more interesting flavor profiles available in their lineup. Not sure if they stopped carrying some of the stuff in their current menu of drinks or they were just out of stock or everything from the brewer I wanted to try but oh well the ones we got were still excellent. The only disappointing thing I'd say was as far as their food options go I don't believe I saw any vegan friendly options available. Would love to see some things on there so I can come back and have a bite while I drink. read more

Let's start off with excellent service and mediocre food. Brisket was not bbq smoked or seasoned, rather it was dry and tasteless but for the sauce. The fried catfish with charred kale over their version of red beans and rice was just OK. Mac and chorizo was passable but for the pasta shells which was served on the undercooked side of al dente The star of the lunch was the coleslaw athat came with the brisket and the Arnold Palmer. The food is off the charts. I keep this place in rotation and typically get the same staples every time I go which are the killer shrimp (add the pasta for 4$ up charge and it becomes a full meal) and the brisket. All of their BBQ is really good and on Saturday they have a bbq plate that is delicious. Last night I tried something new and got the southern catfish... it was so tasty. It comes with rice and beans and charred greens. Everything came out pipping hot and was seasoned to perfection. The torn potatoes are also very good and if you save room for dessert, the key lime is my fav. This place is also a brewery so they make great beers and always have a great selection on tap. WOW the special was to die for. Short rib roast on Mashed, seriously OMFG . Even though the service was poo, the food did it. Sucked I couldn't just tip the kitchen. The place has a cool vibe but sitting next to someone's whiny kids kind of kills it. Anyways the Food was great, order more beers and order everything while the waitress is present becz she might not come around or just straight ignore your gestures and calls for help. You may say this is unfair perspective, but it is my perspective. Hubby and I take our dogs with us to visit breweries. Most places are more than welcoming, at least on the patio. Not here: dogs are not allowed, even in their spacious outdoor space. Thus, we didn't get to try their beer or food. Very disappointed. read more

I highly recommend Hop Saint!! I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally go there. The food is amazing and they have a nice range of different styles of beer. We had the brisket, which was super tender and tasty and the roasted veggies are super tasty and cooked just right. All the food we have tried so far was delicious. The IPAs and Ales we very good. I love this place. The staff is amazing! (special shout out to Lala, Jasmine, and Alpha!) The food is sooooo good and a great value. Try the baked brie, the wings, the brisket, and any of the flatbreads and salads. While I'm not a beer drinking myself, my wife and my brother tell me it may be the best craft brews in the South Bay. We try to get in a couple times a month and have NEVER been dissapointed. Very neighborhoody vibe with all kinds of people, families, and locals. Seriously, it's kinda like "Cheers" that way. Great beer. Excellent food. Family friendly environment. I've only ever sat at the bar, so i can't rate the attentiveness of the servers in that aspect. But the beer tenders are always attentive and friendly. Highly recommend the Marin French, petite brie. My favorite beer is "pure Intention" but pretty much any beer here is amazing! I stumble up on HopSaint Brewing while doing some research, and what I saw and read was Impressive, so the next day I was there. It is location in a strip mall with other shops so free parking was a breeze, as you enter the staff ask you where would you like to dine, they're still practicing social distancing inside and outside. We dine outside because the sun was out and bright also if you can get vitamin D for free why not. We ordered the wood grilled corn bread that came with seasonal fruit butter (strawberry) onions and chives...this was to die for corn bread."Delicious" the wood roasted olives they came with garlic cloves, rosemary, ricotta salata, sultanas and a roasted lemon. "OK" the roasted chicken and shrimp jambalaya came with holy trinity andouille, tasso ham, and anson mills,creole mustard sauce and grits."Delicious" the southern fried catfish that came with Island red peas caroline gold rice, charred greens."So good." the dessert was betty sue's pecan pie also key lime pie. This place is great for a hang with friends or for a fun date night. Lots of house made beers to try! They have tvs and a bar like atmosphere so it would be a great place to watch some sports games. We came in on a saturday afternoon and was seated right away. It wasnt too long after our waitress came and introduced herself and took our order. We had questions about the menu...she was very informative and excited about the food. Once we got the food, its understanding the excitment. It was so good! We ordered the pork poutine as an appetizer, it came out warm and delicious looking. Every bite was just that. I had to keep myself from finishing it, I still had my main course. Next for main we tried the chicken and biscuits with what I believe is served with homemade jam and the pulled pork sandwich. We both were very satisfied with our plates.
