This location has quickly become favorite, as it hosts a variety of events throughout the week, but the best part is the food and beer selection! The pizza is always amazing, regardless of the slice I order. Cooked well and the single slice is a decently large portion, and they have a rotating special slice of the month that is different than their pizzas on the menu. Their arugula salad is one of my favorites, as it comes with just enough dressing (lemon and olive oil) that it coats everything just right and then is topped with so much cheese!! The beer selection is great as well, and they carry local brewery beers, which are rotated out seasonally. My favorite being the Snugglebug from Smog City! It does not taste like a beer, more so a delicious berry beverage. The selection of permanent beers they have is also extensive. The service is always great and the location has a lot of seating available. Plus the parking lot is large, so parking easy! read more

Last night our little league hosted an end of the season party at SP. They seated us in the back room and communicated that we must order individually from the front register. I had a few things I wanted to set down in the room before ordering. While I was back there, a kid came back and said he would take our orders from the to go register right by the room. So, I walked over to place my order. As I was finishing up my order, I noticed that he charged me a "large party" fee that came out to almost $18. But I was only ordering for myself and my kids! When I brought this up, he said everyone in our party would be charged a large party fee because we are a large party. Look, I'm all for service workers making a fair wage and even getting perks like a large party bonus if you are in fact SERVING THE PEOPLE IN THE PARTY! That's not how SP works though. There is ZERO service beyond someone taking your order at a register and then delivering it to your table. Literally nothing beyond that. Bare minimum. Bottom of the barrel "service", and charging a FEE simply because you're sitting with some friends is bewildering. We were all on separate tabs because, again, you are forced to order at a register... just like you are at any other fast food establishment. A few people in our "large party" mentioned that they didn't have to pay a fee when they ordered from the front. So after a short back and forth with the kid who was taking my order at the back register, I decided I would order from the front instead. When I told him that's what I was going to do, he then told me "then you can't eat back here with your friends. You must eat up front with everyone else". He said it was "policy". When I finally asked to speak to a manager, he said they don't have a manager and shooed me away with his hand!!!! When I finally got to the front of the line at the front register, I complained to the girl who was taking my order and asked for clarification on the policies of the establishment. She was SO HELPFUL AND KIND and all of a sudden there WAS a manager for me to speak to... she OFFERED his assistance without me even having to ask. When I spoke with the manager, he assured me that the "policy" that was communicated to me before is only in place for LARGE PARTIES WHO ARE BEING WAITED ON. Finally someone who understands! Anyway, I was able to order without a fee but I was so incensed, I only ordered a fraction of what I planned on ordering. And I absolutely will never give this place another chance because the food is mid and the service is garbage. No one should have to fight unfair "policies" for a slice of pizza and some garlic knots. The manager I was able to finally speak to, said he refunded the knots and my drinks but didn't offer an amended receipt and I have yet to see that refund on my card. TLDR: don't go here. They have whack "policies" that are poorly communicated to their staff and lie about not having a manager on duty. The pizza is mid and the "service" is non existent. read more

Today I had my first and last experience at Slice & Pint. There was a lunch special involved so the slices available for the special were limited but okay. The slices on their own weren't particularly filling -- they leaned toward New York style with a very thin crust with nice light crispiness on the bottom. The sauce was kinda mid but the overall balance of crust/sauce/cheese/toppings was fine. Sadly, the business has a severe communication problem. The parameters of the lunch special are constrained and the menu does a crap job of communicating what is in play. This leaves the person taking your order with the task of having to communicate the limitations to everyone individually. The limitations extend to the beers that are available for the special. This also could have been solved within the menu effortlessly but they failed here as well. When the beers arrived, we got attitude from the young woman that brought them to our table. (Clearly, despite the otherwise empty restaurant, she thought that she had better things to do than serve a customer.) The beers were kinda crap -- we ordered two different items but they were indistinguishable. As to the environment, I don't see the point of 10+ screens competing for one's attention while crappy music is played at an unreasonable volume (as in good luck trying to verbally communicate with someone over two feet away). In short, I can do without the bitchy service, the sonic onslaught of the environment, and the generally depressing experience of just being there. There's better food, environment, and service elsewhere within a two minute drive radius so this place, in a single visit, made my NEVER AGAIN list. read more

Huge shoutout to Patrick in slice and pint. New father here. My wife's and my anniversary came up and we've been so busy with our new awesome addition that we both acknowledged that we let this one slip past us this year. I still wanted to do something, anything, to make this night feel like more than just a pizza night together after our guy went to bed. Called slice and pint, explained the situation and asked if they could put a pizza in a heart shape. Patrick, thinking out loud, said, "we've never done it before but I'll do my best. Also I'll throw in a brownie for you for your anniversary". Grabbed flowers, ran to the pizza shop and was happier and happy. You can see in the picture, he nailed it. When I brought it home, my wife was over the moon that they went out of their way to try and make our night a little more special. Huge thanks to Patrick and the Slice and Pint team. A quick Sunday noon stop. I tried the Apricaught (dry hopped apricot sour) from Little Beast and the ESBC (5.8%). About half an hour in, the place was packed, clearly everyone was here to watch the game. Lots of families again today, which gave it a lively, welcoming feel. They also had house made donuts today, a lemon zest donut for $2. It was my first time seeing them despite about ten visits here. Obviously it's about the slice... Nice thin crust with a bit of chew, good cheese, quality (Don't have to sop up a bunch of oil), And balance of toppings cheese to tomato ratio. Also nice selection of beer on tap- I'm not a beer drinker but my husband appreciated that. Really fun place from the famed El Segundo Brewery. I mean what's not to like .... beer from El Segundo Brewery and pizza! They show ALL the NFL matches on Sundays. I have been DYING to see if they'd live up to the hype, and they absolutely do! Even the simplest things like their Fancy Marinated Olives are noteworthy. Also loved the Heirloom Tomato & Burrata and especially the Roasted Asparagus. As for the pizza, go for classics like Pepperoni if you really want to, but they get quite creative with creamy concoctions like the Cacio e Pepe. The White Dog has nutty notes from pistachio pesto, the Gabagool is a great combo of vodka sauce and spicy capicola, and the Grand Ave is a surprise favorite, beautifully balanced with sweet leaks, spicy peppers, and fresh spinach. Their depth and breadth is very impressive - I rarely see so many things done well and even rarer still, this many things done this well. The pizzas are quite creative and distinct, and their commitment to quality is clear. Would absolutely order from here again, especially if I'm having guests. read more

The beers, of course were awesome, the meatballs were good and the pizza would have been delicious had I not opted for the "lemon ricotta" on top. The lemon was overwhelming and just plain weird. I tried my best to pick it off but the flavor remained. This is a good place for a family to get pizza (for kids and adults) and beer (for adults) in South Bay. Pizza is mostly better than average. There are two types of pizza crust you can order here: hand-tossed and pan dish. The former is a thin crust that is almost crispy. The latter has a thicker crust. The sauce and cheese for the pizza are okay, nothing special. The pizzas cost anywhere from $30 to $40 these days. However, the pizzas are big. 18" for the hand-tossed pizzas and 12" x8" for the pan pizzas; enough to feed 3 to 4 people. The beer selection is quite extensive but not overwhelming. Service was severely understaffed and neutral, but it was more of an order-at-the-counter kind of restaurant, so there was minimal interaction with the staff. Any case, the food: the garlic knots with marinara were decent, but nothing to write home about. The White Dog was creamy and cheesy, although the pesto on top was extra oily, which wasn't our style...however, the crust was the star of the show: handmade, crispy, and chewy, the crust was so good that even when I couldn't finish the toppings, I made sure to demolish the crust! Overall, solid pizza at The Slice & Pint. It is quite expensive, but the crust was probably the best I've had anywhere. I'd be interested in trying more of their pizzas! read more

We got 2 pizzas for the 6 of us-- 1 cheese pizza for the kids and 1 pizza with half Crowntown (cheese pie, arugula, prosciutto, fresh garlic, Calabrian chili oil) and half Rob's in Maui (cheese pie, charred Spam, pineapple, red onion). The pizzas were HUGE and the slices were more on the thinner and floppier side. The pizzas here are a bit pricey but the portions are big and the pizzas we tried were delicious. They also have appetizers and salads on the menu that we didn't try. Overall, we had a great experience here and I would totally come back! This is the old pizza coast Hiway formerly Charlie's formerly Cialuzzi's. Their setup is neat and a lot more open than I remember it. I love that the items come out FAST. You go up to the counter to order and it's well put organized. They have a great selection of beers, appetizers and pizzas. We got a Wednesday special chicken Parmesan, meatball appetizer, pepperoni slices and the daily special slice which was the white dog. This was my first time here and it was fun and delicious. The place is pretty spacious with a bar, large dining area and nice outdoor patio where I sat. A bunch of parents from our son's football team dropped in here before a game at redondo union. So happy we did. Pizzas are so tasty here. We tried the standard pepperoni and something fancy as well. It was like a white pizza or a Blanca. Both were yum. The beer on tap....hazy and a Belgium. They were both excellent. Wife tried a cider as per usual. She approved. Kids loved the apps. Ordering was a bit disjointed as the employees at the front desk were working off handheld devices and placing orders that came flying at us as we barely found a spot to sit. You know when food drops almost too fast? Drink, appetizers, salad and pizza almost all at once! Do not like the small plates - too small for salad, okay for appetizers, aluminum pizza trays for pizza. I love the vibe at The S & P El Segundo, the Redondo location not as much. One men's & one women's (each) restroom - beer drinkers, you've been warned. Maybe there are more hidden restrooms in the back? Anyhow, it's a steady stream of in/out, waiting to pee after a few brewskis... In case you glossed over my opening comments, it's NOISY and a bit out of control. Next visit, I will order a beer and an appetizer, go find a table and chill. When I'm ready for another beer and the rest of my food, order then? 4 stars, it's too loud and chaotic for a 5th star... I had been going to the El Segundo location for at least a year before the RB location opened up. Excellent pizza and a fantastic beers on tap for any mood! I'm so happy they opened this RB store! There is plenty of room, which is great for meetups for parties of most any size. I also like that, unlike the ES location, I don't feel like everyone has to yell to have a conversation. The pizza is so good and with some really great ingredients combos that I had never tried before but they are really tasty! I LOVED their original location in El Segundo, and I was super excited when I saw that Slice and Pint opened in RB! Woot woot! The place was packed on a Tuesday night, full of sports fans and families. Since it was so busy we couldn't find a table, we decided to go for takeout. The takeout line wasn't crazy, and we only waited about 20 minutes for our pizza. We got the Surfing pizza (see picture below). Besides the margherita, which I LOVE from the El Segundo location, the Surfing pizza was the only other red sauce option. I REALLY hope they'll add more red sauce pizzas to their menu--nothing beats a good, authentic red sauce Italian pizza! I did take off one star because the pizza was SO GREASY! I'm not sure what's going on, but when I ordered the same pizza again and asked for less oil, it was still overly oily (see picture below). Plus, when we ordered on a Friday night, it was super busy at the takeout line. The hostess underestimated the wait time, and it turned out to be 45 minutes. The food was hit and miss. The cheese bread was delicious and the cookie was amazing according to my kids and the beer was good. However the pizza wasn't great. It was way too salty and the crust was just dry. For the price of everything I expect better service and better food. It was 120 before tip for 2 kids and 2 adults. I think the worst part was it was one of those order at the front take a number kind of places and I had to track down people to get a soda refill and a box for the pizza. If I'm paying 4.50 for a soda you better be making refills easier. And maybe put the price of drinks on the menu. I had to get up from my seat 5 times to get refills, a pizza box, put in our order and close out our order. If you are going to make it serve yourself then put out a drinks machine and some boxes. And maybe have a way to order from the table so I don't have to get up and stand in line to get dessert. I'm being generous with my 3 stars cause the concept could be tweaked and it could improve if they walk into a woodstocks and take a few notes and lower their soda prices. 4.50 is ridiculous. read more

I can't believe some people don't love this pizza! Their crust is maybe my favorite in LA. It's thin and puffy, crispy and chewy. Their Sicilian style is also super delish but you can't get it by the slice. I haven't tried much else besides the pizza and crazy yummy bread pudding! It's not cheap but it's quality, and it's not unreasonable by today's standards (get a pie if you have more than 2 people, slices add up fast). Weekday lunch special, 2 slices and a pint for $14 is hard to beat. If you have an aversion to kids running around, this place might not be for you on weekends. We love the El Segundo location and decided to give this new one a try! Same great pizza but MORE SPACE. Much less stimulating than ES location, which I very much appreciated. Family friendly. Bathrooms could use some better attention - there was lots of toilet paper and water on the ground, and a bit smelly. It would also be nice if they didn't dim the lights in the restaurant so dark. I literally watched someone turn them lower while we were eating. It was 530pm and lots of families there...we didn't need the mood lighting haha But still a great spot for some yummy pizza! The ambiance both outside and inside is pretty loud due to street noise and sports games on the TV. You order at the cashier and then sit down and they bring out your food.
