Incredible interior decore. Elf on disco ball.

Pros: Seasonal decore for Christmas and Halloween, extensive drink menu, possibly the best buffalo cauliflower I've had. The exterior design is also always eye catching and fun when driving down PCH. Cons: Unfortunately my party of 2 received really inattentive service. Throughout our time there we felt forgotten and were confused on who our server was at times because we thought they switched but then the previous waiter would return. To give the benefit of the doubt, it was the middle of the day so it's likely they didn't have much staff. The food was good but the menu when we went today felt more like bar food than a full restaurant. The fish and chips had soggy breading. I'll definitely be coming back to try the taco Tuesday experience or to grab a cocktail with a friend, but would go somewhere else if I'm looking for a full meal.

I've sung Hudson House's praises before, but this review is all about their over-the-top holiday vibe that practically wraps you in tinsel the moment you step inside. Forget basic holiday decor--this is full-on festive fabulousness. Twinkling lights, glittering garlands, and ornaments galore create an atmosphere so enchanting you'd swear you just walked into a Christmas rom-com. And the cocktails? Honey, they're just as dazzling. Dani and Justin are behind the bar, mixing, stirring, shaking, and pouring pure holiday perfection. These two are like Santa's elves with a shaker and a flair for making spirits (literally) bright. You must order the Jingle Bell Rock, their gingerbread twist on an old fashioned. Warm, spiced, and sinfully smooth, it's like a cozy fireplace in a glass--naughty enough to keep you sipping but nice enough to keep you coming back. Hudson House isn't just a meal; it's a whole mood. Whether you're popping in for dinner or staying for their holiday cocktails, this is where the magic happens. Cheers to the season--Dani, Justin, and Hudson House will keep you merry and bright. Five festive stars!

This review is solely for their $1 taco Tuesday! $1 Taco Tuesday are such a DEAL here at Hudson House! You can choose from either pollo or carnita tacos, or $2 veggies tacos, that all come with salsa on the side and are absolutely delicious. In spite of being $1, the meat is super tender and tasty. They also have $8 select cocktails, making this place the best to get the most bang for your buck! I highly recommend making a reservation since this place can get PACKED. Make sure to stop by if you're in the Southbay LA area!

The prickly pear mule was refreshing! My friend had the OG and said it was good. The happy hour pricing is good but I wouldn't want to pay normal pricing for these drinks. The aesthetic of this bar is kind of cool but not as cool as I expected based on the outside. The patio seating was shaded but simple. Service was good. Maybe this place is better at night but it just didn't stand out as much as I would have liked.

Been meaning to come here for years especially since it was Brooke Williamson from Top Chef's place. I was too late for the party since it's under new ownership and I'm guessing a new menu as well? Came in for Taco Tuesday to meet some friends The place is nice but more casual than I imagined. Definitely a fun place for Happy Hour with indoor and back patio seating. The friends downed some drinks while I tried some fritters. It was really delicious! Parking on the street if you can find it. I had to park a ways and walk down PCH. I'd like to come back on a different evening to try different items from their menu.

Came for HH and thought this place was super cute and had some tasty snacks and drinks! The service is great and the restaurant itself was perfect for after work drinks and snacks. The menu looks good and I saw some people ordering dinner there which I will have to return back for. We got some beers and cocktails, I got the sunny daze cocktail which was so fresh and great if you like sweet drinks. We also got some sliders and Serrano cheddar grit fritters. The fritters were amazing! Cubes of grits, but not the dry grainy grits you are imagining. These were moist and almost like fried tofu but way tastier! Would definitely recommend and something new I haven't had.

Brunch here is fantastic, especially because they had live jazz musicians playing during our meal. Make sure to sit outside to enjoy the music and the great weather. I got the Eggs Benedict and it was made perfectly. It came with a salad that had a very flavorful dressing. The Cafe Americano was also very tasty. The Kid's French Toast was just okay as it wasn't as fluffy on the inside as expected. The maple syrup was plus, however. Service was great. There was one waitress that was always on the move and taking everyone's orders, delivering everyone's food, and taking everyone's payment. She had some help but it was apparent who was working hard. Parking was very simple for a Sunday at noon. There was plenty of street parking. This place is easy to miss because it has a fairly discrete sign. Take a look at my photos to see what I mean. Overall, great experience. I'm looking forward to returning so I can try other items on their menu.

I could drink the chimichurri sauce it came with and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection * mole blanco enchiladas - chicken Machacha, queso, chipotle pepitas, arroz de tomatillo and frijoles Nevro . 9.5/10 and I fear I will never want to have mole any other way. I also got a complimentary dessert of choice for my birthday. I opted for the fried ice cream (horchata flavored) which was divine and the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. The ambiance is lively, I recommend to sit outdoors as several other restaurants have live music and great to people watch. Huge compliments to the chef and to our incredible waiter, Peter, who was attentive and provided the best recommendations. Would definitely come back to explore more of the menu.

If you don't feel like a tiki drink they also have a few beers on tap or canned. PAINKILLER: Pussers navy rum, Pussers gunpowder rum, Goslings 151, coconut, pineapple, orange, bitters. And Hubbers suggested this place for a late-ish lunch because he's been here before and had a positive experience. Outdoor seating only since we had the furballs. We had our choice of where since we were the only customers on a late lunch hour. Servers were so patient with our pups (even when they were moody - my apologies!) and were even nice enough to bring them water bowls! It was a cool and cloudy day, but that didn't damper anything. In fact, we appreciated it coming off the heat wave from the last couple of weeks! Everything on their menu looked so good, it took me awhile to decide. But Hubbers and I agreed on the Kayak Tide Tray (+4 extra oysters) and the charred watermelon salad. In the meanwhile, I battled between lobster pasta and five dragon pastrami. (The pasta won out.) Hubbers went for the cedar planked Ora king salmon. And a couple of cocktails to wash it all down! KAYAK TIDE TRAY: The seasoned scallops were my favorites, hands down. The sauce was fantastic and didn't overpower the scallops' main essence. The oysters were shucked fresh and the sauces elevated the flavors a bit. Shrimps were chilled tender and had a nice chew. Cocktail sauce added flavor. The mussels? Sad to say, but half of them were served still frozen hard. So we took our time with it and let it thaw out which didn't happen until we were halfway our meal. Overall: excellent. CHARRED WATERMELON: This plate was so well put together! And not only is it pleasing to the eyes (nice touch with the micros!), it was the same with the palate. Watermelon was fresh. Charred only on one side (I'm curious what it would be like if they charred ALL the sides - will make this request - only if possible - next time!) Taking bites from each component of this salad makes all the difference: the acidity of the tomatoes are tempered by the burrata and the cucumbers, and the freshness of the watermelon makes it all refreshing. The onions added a bit of tart, as did the pomegranates. Didn't notice any macadamia nuts, but no matter! This is a must have! LOBSTER PASTA: Didn't happen... see below. LOBSTER ROLL: Served along with Hubbers' salmon plate (more on that later.) We had a different server at this point (our first one told us he was going on his break.) I thought Hubbers put in an order of this too, so I moved the plate to his side. Our server noticed this and said, "Are you sharing? Would you like an extra plate?" Hubbers confirmed he didn't other this. And that neither did I, but we are waiting on the lobster pasta. He then explained they are out of that dish, "was this not related to you?" Long story short, I told him I'd take the roll, no biggie. He offered to comp it, and if I like, I can put in another order. So I went for the pastrami. And as we waited for that, Hubbers and I split this and WOW. Bread was toasted and buttered perfect, generous with the amount of lobster, plating was a delight to the eyes, and overall delicious. I appreciated the aroma of the tarragon. Yum! FIVE DRAGON PASTRAMI: This is a generous serving, plenty to share with another. Lots of flavors with each bite but the well-seasoned and flavored pastrami dominates them all. The slaw was strong but the subtleness of the lappi balanced it out. Sourdough was perfectly toasted. I thought about not ordering this since I knew the lobster roll might have been enough, but I'm sure glad I went for it! Delish! Hubbers let me have a couple of bites off his salmon plate and O.M.G.!!! He sure picked a good one! Skin was seasoned crispy and the fish was so moist! This is probably one of the best versions of salmon I've had. (For the record, I rarely order anything salmon since 90-95% of the time, they're served dry, but this one here, I'd highly recommend.) FOOD: 4.75. SERVICE: 5. They were AMAZING!!! VALUE: 4. Given the location, pricing is understandable. But worth it. PARKING: Street/Structure only. All metered. And getting here will require a bit of a walk depending on where you parked. OVERALL: 4.5. Plans on coming back here with more people is now in the works. Looking forward to doing that soon!

You can tell the chefs are dedicated to the craft. They're a 2025 bib gourmand restaurant and are hoping to aim for their first star, so their efforts into the decor, ambiance, and food shows (good luck!). The waitstaff/chefs were also very attentive. Mussels Tart - really delicious. Super unique and beautifully plated. No taste of fishiness or the ocean. Just overall a 5/5 dish that you must try. Beef tongue - I normally enjoy beef tongue thinly sliced at a Korean BBQ restaurant or coarsely chopped up in a street taco. They do it differently here. The beef tongue is one big cube. It's very flavorful and tender. Not as amazing as the mussels tart but still worth a try. Chili crab - this put them on the map. SUPER DELICIOUS. It's not what you'd expect from a creation called 'chili crab'. There's no shell to be seen and the crab meat is actually buried underneath. Scoop from the inside out. Tons of flavor and I wished the portion size was doubled. Lamb pappardelle - if you like lamb then you'll love this. Lots of different spices and flavors. It has a very deep flavor profile that makes you appreciate all the work and thought that went into designing this dish. I'd get this again also! Strawberry tiramisu - they brought this out for the birthday celebration. They prepared it in a gigantic bowl. Scooped out a generous portion and plated it right in front of us. I have a soft spot for tiramisu so I'd recommend this too. Best of luck on the Michelin star! I'd come back. 5/5

I really wanted to love this place. I read all the glowing…read morereviews and convinced myself the negative ones were probably just misunderstandings... but wow, I had it completely backwards. First, the restaurant itself is undeniably cute and cozy, tucked away in a corner of Hermosa Beach. Our first impression was honestly great, and we were excited to try it. Our reservation was at 5:00 PM, but when we arrived, the staff was still inside having what looked like a team huddle or group therapy session well past opening time. At first I thought maybe I got the hours wrong and they actually opened at 5:30. Nope -- 5:00 was correct. I understand pre-shift meetings happen. But maybe do the motivational speech at 4:50 instead of making customers stand outside after your posted opening time? They finally opened the doors around 5:10. Once seated, our server introduced himself by saying he was also one of the chefs, and apparently everyone dressed in white both cooks and serves. I didn't really understand the concept, but honestly, I don't care who brings the food as long as the food is good. These are what we ordered: SQUID -- This tasted like it had been marinated directly in seawater. Painfully salty. I genuinely did not understand the dish at all. Boiled squid with egg salad? Why? The portion was tiny, and we were hungry, so we basically used the mussels tart to dilute the salt enough to finish it. MUSSELS TART -- Actually delicious. No complaints here. BISTRO SALAD -- This was honestly shocking. It was SO sour that it was practically inedible. -- we literally take straight lemon shots every morning but this dish was hard to eat. This wasn't "bright acidity." This was weaponized vinegar. Bitter, aggressively sour, and tongue-numbing after one bite. We had to send it back because it was simply not edible. CABBAGE -- Flavor was good overall, but parts of it were so burnt that I genuinely questioned whether it was intentional or someone forgot it existed in the kitchen. Maybe it's culinary art I'm too uncultured to understand. FISH DIANE -- Delicious. No complaints at all. What ultimately made us decide we won't return wasn't even the inconsistent food -- it was the attitude. They still charged us for the salad we literally could not eat after sending it back. Then the couple next to us asked to keep one menu because they planned to order more later. One of the servers told them not to leave it on the table because she didn't want the menu to get dirty. The menu was a single flimsy printed paper menu. Not leather-bound. Not handmade parchment from the 1700s. Just printer paper. The whole experience felt oddly pretentious for a place serving burnt cabbage and acid salad. Some dishes were genuinely good, but the hospitality felt nonexistent and the food was wildly inconsistent. Cute restaurant, but definitely not somewhere we'd return to.
