Came here for an early dinner Saturday and sat outside on the patio. They have a small patio with heaters. It got pretty toasty without any fans because the restaurant doesn't face the ocean and is blocked from the wind. They have a large dining room with open air and air conditioning. The staff were welcoming upon arrival. I ordered an Aperol spritz to drink and it was good. For dinner, I order the Burger of the Month which was a double stacked barbecue coleslaw pineapple burger. My waiter told me it comes with gorgonzola cheese and that most people swapped it with cheddar cheese so I did that. It was soooo good!!! I highly recommend as long as you like barbecued pineapple on a burger. I always have a good experience at Rockefeller no matter the location so I'll definitely be back! read more

Buddy of mine and I stopped in as we were bar hopping in the riviera village area. This ended up being our last stop and am glad we came here. We were able to sit at the bar right away. The bartender (forgot his name) was awesome and attentive. The place was lively since there was a World Cup match taking place when we were there. I wasn't too hungry so just ordered some chips and guac which was really good! My buddy had a cheeseburger and said it was tasty as well. I took my wife to a comedy show. We booked a table in advance. It felt as if they were overbooked so we ended up on a high table in a corner, constantly overseen by staff. Decided to try the restaurant for our book club meeting. Two members had a table by the time I arrived and there were only four of us. It took a while to get a waitress, it was around 4 o'clock and they were getting ready for a tasting event so that was a minus for them but once we got a server she was attentive and helpful. They have a good list of items for happy hour but I had the chicken sandwich which was very moist and tender. I had the pleasure of hosting our anniversary party here this past weekend. I'm giving the restaurant a generous 4 out of 5 stars because the atmosphere was beautiful and the quality of the food was great. Unfortunately, the customer service and overall experience upon arrival are what prevented me from giving five stars. In the middle of starting a new job, managing a large family of five kids, and everything else life throws at you, I really appreciated how easy and seamless it was to initially book the location. I will also take accountability for not reviewing the party timeline as closely as I should have beforehand. I arrived flustered, and yes--it was extremely hot. Trying to get five kids situated while greeting guests and managing a large event in what felt like 100-degree weather was understandably stressful. What was disappointing, however, was learning that several of my guests overheard staff members gossiping about me(the bride)and commenting on how flustered I appeared. Regardless of how stressed a guest may seem, I don't believe they should ever become the topic of conversation among staff, especially within earshot of their guests. We originally had a little under 100 guests RSVP. Coming from Mexican and Samoan families, we also knew there was a possibility that additional family members would attend despite missing the RSVP deadline. When that happened, we immediately tried to accommodate the situation rather than expecting the restaurant to simply absorb it. We asked to rent the remaining available outdoor space and ordered additional food. We were more than willing to pay for what was necessary to accommodate our guests. Another major concern was the food being left uncovered outdoors. Flies were landing on the meat and fruit, which was uncomfortable to watch and made some guests hesitant to eat. I noticed several fans stored along the side of the building that potentially could have helped with the flies and heat, but unfortunately, they were never offered to us. We also had more than 100 guests, yet they were not permitted to order drinks from the indoor bar, despite there appearing to be plenty of available space inside on a Sunday and, importantly, air conditioning. I understand that there was a $1,500 drink minimum associated with the outdoor bar; however, with the number of guests we had, I believe our party easily had the potential to meet or exceed that amount. Many of our later-arriving guests were prepared to stay longer and continue purchasing drinks, but unfortunately, several people simply did not feel welcomed enough to linger. That is probably the most disappointing part of the experience. We spent more than $7,000 for approximately four hours at this establishment, and our guests had the potential to generate even more revenue. Instead of feeling like valued customers celebrating an important milestone, there were moments when we felt as though our large party was an inconvenience or something to be embarrassed about. It's especially unfortunate because we are local South Bay residents, and many of our guests, including myself,had never visited this establishment before. An anniversary party with more than 100 local guests could have been an incredible opportunity to introduce many new customers to the restaurant. The venue itself is beautiful, and the food was genuinely good, which is why I still feel four stars is fair. I simply hope management takes this feedback constructively. Large celebrations can understandably be hectic, and guests may arrive stressed or plans may need to change. In those moments, hospitality and professionalism make all the difference. We came ready to celebrate, support a local establishment, and spend money. I just wish we,and our guests,had felt a little more welcomed while doing so read more

We chose a restaurant down the street from this place (Montauk), and boy was it terrible. My wife and I were still hungry and wanted dessert so we went to the Rockefeller, and it was a great choice. After dropping over $200 at the other place, we were pleasantly surprised to see the very reasonable prices for the food at the Rockefeller. We told our waiter that we were in a hurry to get our kids because of the bad experience that we had down the street and did a fabulous job of getting our food to us super-fast. Food: My wife got the baja fish tacos and they were presented amazingly and my wife loved them. I got the hot chocolate chip cookie and the bread pudding and literally inhaled both of them. Both were great. Ambiance: This place is so cute, inviting, relaxing, friendly, clean. Just a place that feels comfortable. Staff: Our waiter was so nice, understanding, quick and made a great recommendation on the bread pudding. Price: When we got our bill, just wow! So I went here yesterday for lunch and ordered the American prime hamburger- that's all you get. A hamburger, no french fries no coleslaw not even a pickle... And it's $16. If you want french fries it's an extra $10. And I noticed the zucchini fries are in a smaller little 1tin than before 2 yrs ago. these places are a rip off -plus you have to tip (which I actually think tipping's gotten out of hand). $127 for two people for lunch not including tip. I wish these places would give you the standard burger, sandwich, or wrap with a side so you don't feel hungry and obligated to pay $28 for a lunch. I like Rockefeller quite a bit...and my daughter freakin' loves it so when the kids were out after a half day at school today to start Winter Break, I chose to take them there for a special lunch. I believe the first time my wife and I went was right when things re-opened after the Pandemic. What's that, you ask in 2030 as you read this? Oh, well, it's a LOOOONG story. Naturally, back then, we sat on the patio to the right since we ALL had to sit outside at the time and...SOCIAL DISTANCE! When's the last time you heard those words?? Thank God, that's over. One plague every 100 years, right? I made a reservation easily on Opentable to sit OUTSIDE (and get the 100 points!) but this time it was because we had our pup with us. I docked just a star because we had to wait at the entrance to be seated for quite a bit; it was a little odd. I think they were understaffed which I can understand during the holidays when some (not me) 'might' call in sick to do last minute Hanukkah/Christmas/Kwanzaa shopping. I get it, though, and it wasn't too off-putting. It being the holidays, naturally, I ordered a 'Royal Holiday' ($14) with Empress 1908 Gin, pineapple juice, fresh lemon juice and coconut. This was a nice and very perty cocktail; just make sure to stir up the coconut at the bottom of the glass else you'll get some syrup at the end...the layered presentation is what they were going for and I appreciated the aesthetic not to mention the taste of the drink. The boy ordered a freshly made lemonade ($4) and seemed to enjoy it. My daughter has had the sweet potato bombs ($10) before and loved them but they did not have the 'tots' available today so we got sweet potato fries instead. They were prepared the same, curried with honey aioli dipping sauce and they were fantastic. She also ordered the Vegan Chopped Salad ($19) and added chicken ($8) which she had said was her favorite based on a prior visit with a friend. She adores this salad and ended up taking half home so I felt sorta 'okay' paying $27 for a salad...I did say, sorta...as long as she eats the leftovers! The boy ordered the Braised Short Rib Tacos ($18) in his typical fashion of going with the waiter's recommendation of the Truffle Mac & Cheese ($14) first but then changing his mind. 3 tacos come with the order as well as a side of black beans and guacamole. I had a bite of the short ribs with guac as well as the beans and they were delicious. Naturally, the boy loved them, too. Trying to be a little healthier (after sweet potato fries), I chose the Seared Ahi Salad ($22) with wonton strips, baby greens, shredded carrots, slivered almonds, green beans, lime crema, Sriracha, tossed in a sesame ginger vinaigrette. The boy had a bite of "just the ahi" as he requested and his first response was, "it's peppery!". He enjoyed it as did I but they should mention that the 5 pieces of beautifully deep red/almost purple or beet red slices were well coated in a finely dusted peppery mix. Some people might not appreciate the spice but I did. This was a good salad and the dressing was light and not overwhelming. I also took half home because I can't eat like I used to and the kids were requesting Yogurtland afterwards for dessert... I appreciated that the crema/Sriracha were on the edges of the bowl and only had a little bit of it preferring my fat intake to be the crispy wontons, nuts and dressing. I think $22 for this salad was also 'okay' but maybe they could have added another slice or two of ahi. After the bit of a wait to be seated at the beginning, our waiter, Stone, did a good job attending to us even if they were understaffed. He was friendly and helpful. The ambiance is great; it's a cool spot, for sure and the front deck where we were seated was a great spot to dine and watch the world go by. My kids only reached for their phones for a brief moment or two. LOL. There's a nifty fire pit in front, too. So, you're in the heart of Riviera Village, steps from the beach, I get that the prices are going to be a little higher, but really, kinda inline with other places not in that perfect location. Lunch for the three of us and my cocktail came to $104.26 including tax. What year am I living in?? I don't 'love' spending that kind of dough on lunch but it is what it is and I certainly don't fault Rockefeller for that. Now, I'll admit, if we had stayed until Happy Hour which is Monday-Friday, 3pm-6pm, I would have absolutely ordered another cocktail...or even had the kiddos starve and wait until then to order...lol. And hey, on Tuesdays, their 'Burgers of the Month' are an astoundingly cheap $2! For that alone, I will absolutely be back! And even not during Happy Hour at the girl's future demands for sweet potato bombs or fries and that chopped not-so-vegan salad with chicken....lol. RECOMMENDED! read more

Great service, so no complaints there at all. Super nice staff. Overall, I was disappointed with the burger. I'd heard rave reviews on how great Rockefeller burgers were and I say,"meh." I had the Rockefeller burger. $18. It was cooked a perfect medium rare. It looked fantastic. The top of the tomato was not cut off so it slid farther and farther to the back of the bun with every bite until there was no more burger left. It's a big burger and it is filling. They did a nice job warming and branding the bun with their logo. The burger was soft and tender, almost melt in your mouth, but had no umami flavor. Big disappointment. Over fifty bucks plus tip for two burgers, one glass of wine and a glass of iced tea. I'd say, not worth it. The burgers do not include any sides. Also, it was pretty loud. Not easy to carry on a conversation. Again, super nice staff, great service, but I won't be back. It was packed, so I'm glad they are doing well and I wish them much continued success. read more

Solid food, lackluster service. We live in the area and try this place every 6 months to a year. Every time, we thoroughly enjoy the food, but the service makes it tough to incorporate into our usual rotation. Today, we ordered 2 Sancho burritos, a kids fresh toast, and a Bloody Mary. For the record, the Sancho Burrito is pretty excellent, the combination of bacon, shredded beef(maybe pork), avocado, etc is excellent. The French toast is also killer. Admittedly, all of the issues I'm about to list w the service are pretty small/minor, but there were a lot, so here we are: - water glass had tajin/margarita salt and some grime when it was dropped off - when I requested a new glass for water, it took 15 minutes - had to flag someone else down for it - food hit the table before the Bloody Mary (which we ended up cancelling) - table did not have cutlery/silverware, had to request and wait for that as well while our food cooled down I have to mention that all staff members we interacted with were nice, kind, considerate. However, this surprisingly did not convert into good service. We frequent a lot of other restaurants in the riv, and some in Hermosa/Manhattan - and we do try this place at least once a year, but it always just feels we aren't quite taken care of, and that we have to be proactive in order to get what we need to round out the service here. Host was great today. However, our server Shyla took 10 minutes to greet us, only after asking the kind host to grab a server for us. Her attitude was off and not welcoming off the bat. The drinks took another 10-15 minutes and were clearly sitting out for that amount of time. The food got there at the same time as our drinks.
