What a great little beer festival!!! Food, beer and tons of people....OH MY!! We had a great time sampling beers from all sorts of different breweries!! Tons of local breweries like Boise Brewing, Bear Island, Bella and more!! As well as breweries from out of state like Laguanitas, Sun River and Wallace. Over all a good showing,...I wish there would have been a few more breweries to choose from....but hey Beggars can't be choosers, and there was enough to choose from that's for sure! Overall...we had a great time!!!

    Yelp did me right!

First and foremost a big shout out to Yelp and community for hookin me up with VIP tickets! What a fantastic afternoon sippin suds from the numerous brewery vendors, so many IPAs! Special thanks to Boise Brewery for their organization and management. Was a great turn out, I suspect a larger venue will be required next year to accommodate all of the hopeful beer aficionados.

Some of the beers and cider I got to try!

Oh boy where do I start? What a neat small gathering! I'm not a huge beer fan but I got to try different beers that otherwise I would never have ordered. They even had Cider which is my favorite alcoholic beverage. I got to try a few and if you are into beer it's well worth the price! You get 10 shots of your favorite drink. I was unable to pass 5 but I believe I got the best 5! I was able to donate our tickets to someone else to enjoy on our behalf. Local breweries as well as CO, OR and WA. They had food trucks too. Good small variety of food!

My first photo bomb. I know none of the people in this picture. I am the dork on the far right.

Almost made me want to move here, they were easy to talk to and were completely personal with their conversations. I ordered the flight of 4, 5-oz samples with an additional 2 more. Making it a 6-sample flight consisting of 30 oz of beer. What I ordered was their Recoil IPA (citrus), Rustler IPA (malty), Mutton Buster (brown ale), Oktoberfest (marzen lager), with the additional two of the Aura (hibiscus sour), and Sofa King Dreamy (tropical IPA). This place was absolutely amazing, from the outside drinking areas to the bathrooms. The bathroom was something I wasn't suspecting, all the way to the bonfire pit that was so huge, to even the forest of the wandering drinkers. I did come pretty close to close and the staff was still awesome and easy to work with. They weren't done with their shift and irrtitated which I see most of the time. I ended up buying some merchandise and some beer togo. If I lived here, I can totally see myself coming by this spot frequently. Way to go Payette Brewing, I would highly recommend checking this place out!!

They have a cute tent set up like a forest/campground with picnic tables and other seating for guests to enjoy. This is a great space out of the elements (although we've had an extremely mild winter this year). I ordered the Le'Bois cocktail then a beer. Both were delicious. The bartenders were polite and service was very quick. The fire pit outside puts off a lot of heat and was perfect for the brisk evening last night. I have also been here in the summer time with my family and the outdoor courtyard is a good space for the kids to run around and we usually order them dinner for the rotating food trucks they have available. Also note, they are dog friendly. There were lots of sweet pups there last night. Just remember to bring a poop bag just in case.

I don't know that I have ever given a brewery a 5 Star review...this makes sense!…read more I have been doing my little Fish & Chips search through Boise and I will have to say, this place is Hands Down the best yet that I have found! Now I have been here a few times and I like the place. The service is good, especially in the bar. The place is very open and has great light and fresh air which I always love. Add to that some great food and creative cocktails and you have a winner! They have a great Old Fashion that is a creation of one of the bartenders and I think is just a fantastic drink! Balanced flavor, a little sweet but not too sweet...with a nice bourbon finish to it! Now back to the Fish & Chips...I have had them twice now, with the same cocktail to chase them down. These are what Fish & Chips are meant to be. The batter is light with a great crunch, not heavily breaded but a light flavorful batter! Fries are good, home-made tartar sauce which always hits...and all the items you want with them...lemon, vinegar and for me mustard! I will be back, over and over again. for a drink, some good service and the best Fish & Chips when I am having that craving! KT

I visited 10 Barrel Brewing recently with my fiancé, and while there were some high points…read moreregarding the flavors and service, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. To start, I tried the Pickletini. As a fan of pickle-forward drinks, I found it "not bad"--a solid choice if you enjoy that briny profile. My fiancé opted for the All Ways Down Double IPA flight. At 9% ABV, it was a heavy hitter, but he really enjoyed the intense hop aroma and flavor provided by the Cryo Hops. For my main, I ordered the TNT Sando (Tri-Tip with bacon jam and garlic aioli) on Gaston's grilled focaccia. I requested it without pickles, and it was excellent. I paired it with the Black Bean and Veggie soup, which was a standout--perfectly delicious with a nice "zing" to it. Unfortunately, the meal hit a significant snag with my fiancé's Fish & Chips. The beer and cornmeal tempura batter was extremely thick (nearly 3/4 of an inch in some spots) and the fish was overcooked. Additionally, the blue cheese dressing on his side salad was very runny and tasted off. It was disappointing enough that we had to send it back. We replaced it with The Spicy Italian pizza. This was a total 180--it arrived looking beautiful, and the combination of the meats, pepperoncinis, and hot honey was absolutely delicious. Our server, Casey P., was generally good and attentive, though we did have to wait to start our meal because we weren't initially provided with napkins or silverware. A minor note on the atmosphere: the table we were seated at had "gay" carved into the wood, which felt a bit out of place for the professional vibe of the rest of the establishment. Overall, the TNT Sando, the pizza, and the beers are worth coming back for, but the kitchen consistency on the fried items definitely needs some work.
