Horacio it's not only a mechanic, but he's a little bit of a detective too! Let me explain I had a rear tire go flat and I got a replacement tire at American tire depot in Irvine. Didn't think much of it. I get my tires rotated couple months later at the dealership and all of a sudden my brakes don't work. I can't figure out why - one morning I was so scared that I couldn't stop. I had to pull my emergency break and put my car in neutral to stop safely I brought it to Horacio. He calls me up after just having my car a couple hours and asks if I had new tires put on?? I am Proplexed -He brought his diagnostic equipment and took a little drive in my car found out that they put the wrong size tire on my back wheel and when they rotated my tires, my ABS stopped working correctly because the tires weren't turning at the same velocity. The wrong size tire is actually taller and fatter . That's why my brake system couldn't track. He replaced my tire with the correct size and my car works fantastic. For a fraction of the cost, I thought it would be -He's honest, he's fair , he's kind and smells terrific! His business is family owned, and I trust him with the safety on my car. I have been taking my car to Horacio since I was recommended by a tow truck driver named Bud. Bud diagnosed my car when it wouldnt start and told me i needed some work done and told me he knew a mechanic that was honest, reliable, and doesnt try to overcharge like most mechanics. Ended up taking Bud's advice because my car was experiencing parasitic battery drain anytime I didnt use my car for 2 or 3 days. Took two or three visits to finally figure it out. But Horacio stayed true to his word and I never felt like I was being ripped off. He even gave me an oil change which I just noticed. His daughter at the front desk was kind and helpful also. Heracios auto service replaced my front calipers and all pads. Driving to work through Laguna to work approx. a week and a half later I heard a noise that sounded like I ran over something and fortunately I slowed down to pull over to take a look. As it turns out the caliper on the front passenger side became dislodged and it turns out it was actually my brake pad that I had heard when it fell off that also damaged the in side of my rim. I lost over a half a day of work and paying my employeesto stand around on one of my jobs. There's only 2 bolts that fasten the caliper and his mechanic actually forgot to tighten them. Stay away from this place. Look at all the negative reviews, there's a reason. We recently had the front suspension fixed here for a very high price. Shortly thereafter we noticed the alignment was off and took to to another shop for alignment. They informed us that the prior work was shoddy and additional repairs were needed. We took the car back to Horacio. They charged to fix the car again and said it 'was not there problem'. They said if we didn't pay again they would have the car towed. They even claimed that the other shop intentionally damaged the car. Avoid at all cost. read more

This mechanics does not know what they are doing. I just spent almost $500.00 to get my air conditioning fixed and not much has changed. It still not working properly. They are now saying that my compressor is original and that it needs to be replaced. First they charged me for diagnostic hoping they found the problem then they recommend a part that needs to be replaced. Beware of this shop. My heater was working fine before my air conditioning was repaired . Now it's all broken and needs fixing. If they are good mechanics they should know what the problem is to begin with. Not have other reason why my air conditioning is not working specially after charging you almost $500.00. Why would you reply to my message and not tell the truth. You know that you charged me more than 93.20 and it was not a couple days that I came back and you did a free service. I had multiple experiences where Horacio diagnosed issues with my SUV that were way more expensive of a fix than necessary. He told me I needed the motor for the tailgate replaced for $600+ but I ended up taking it somewhere else and the electric cord had come unplugged. Another time had my oil changed and he told me I had over 50% brake pads, front and rear. Before the next oil change I needed new brakes & rotors, and he did them the time before as well. I took my car in to replace the fuel pump now my gas mileage is terrible, not sure if leaking or what's going on. I tried to get him to fix it and he said take it to the dealership. FYI, I don't know why you keep saying we were there this morning. My husband was there last week. You are hiding behind the fact that Horacio would not honor his work and look at my husband's car. He did not threaten you. He was angry at him for referring him to the dealership and refusing to look at it after the thousands of dollars we have given to your dad. I do appreciate small businesses.
