    Pork Chop

Don't let the 3.5 star average rating fool you. This place is pretty good. The buttered bread starter was yummy. The salads were super unique and really tasty. I had the pork chop entree and it was delicious. Our server Kayla was fantastic. To be fair, the visit did have a couple flaws. My wife's steak was overcooked and the soda came in super small glasses which resulted in lots of refills. Overall, I was very happy with the dinner experience and I'm sure I'll be back soon.

Such a lovely and spacious nautical-inspired restaurant overlooking the waters by Marina Park in San Leandro. Came on a Saturday with a noon reservation, and there were lots of parking. Once entering the restaurant, I really enjoyed the ambiance and feeling like I was in a beautiful old-school ship with tall windows letting in a lot of natural light. We got grilled salmon, fish and chips, and key lime pie for dessert. Service was warm and attentive, they were really wonderful. This is a great spot with an upscale feel in San Leandro, perfect for dates and nice outings.

This spot is quite close to Oakland Airport, making it a convenient stop on our way home. We've visited here four times, but my husband has said it will be our last. I genuinely love the cozy feeling of sitting in a boat's hull and enjoying the beautiful view. Our waitress, Angelina, was incredibly sweet, though she seemed overwhelmed with too many tables, and we saw the bartender step in to help. Our son's Fisherman's Platter came out first, and he finished it before our Lobster Bisque and Salad arrived. Everything was good, but the timing was off--we prefer to dine together. I had the Duckhorn Cabernet, which was $17 a glass; I didn't take a photo, but I felt the pour was fairly short. My husband enjoyed his Expresso Martini, which he said was delicious. I truly want Horatio's to thrive. I hope these tips are helpful and support their success.

Haven't been to Horatio's in years. Food was decent, ribeye was juicy and cooked well. Hubs got the scallops and he said they were tasty. Place seems a little dated and could use a nice remodel.

I came in for a great view and an even better steak, and Kimberly my server that time absolutely delivered. She locked in on my order, stayed attentive the whole time, and made sure everything hit the table just right. The ambiance was smooth, the service was on point, and the whole experience felt like exactly what I came for.

We came here for dinner on a weeknight and were seated promptly. They have tables overlooking the Bay which make for a great view of the sunset and the water. They also have some kind of an outdoor patio seating. Parking is plentiful and the restaurant has a nautical themed decor. Our server, Jessica, was great! She walked us through the menu, informed us of the popular dishes and checked on us often. We got some drinks which were well made. We started off with the crab and artichoke dip - a tasty dip with some crispy baguette. They also bring you their house garlic bread which is delicious! We got the Admiral's feast - a three course menu where you can choose a soup/ salad, main and dessert. The clam chowder was good and the Caesar salad was standard. Next, the sirloin was perfectly cooked as requested. This was served with some asparagus (which sadly lacked seasoning) and mashed potatoes. The salmon was also cooked to the desired done ness (medium rare) and served with fingerling potatoes and fresh vegetables. Dessert was creme brulee the only option in the set menu which was standard. Portions are decent sized and I needed to take some of my food back home! Overall, a decent place for a leisurely meal.

Maple Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

Stopped by for a quick bite after making a reservation through Open Table. We were promptly seated by the large picture windows overlooking the SL Marina. Hubby ordered Prime Rib sandwich au jous with french fries. I opted to venture away from my usual. Had a small Blue Cheese salad with sliced almonds, chopped egg and added salmon. The entrees came out within an ample period of time. I asked Kayla, our server, where's the beef? There was two paper thinned slices of brown beef, was it even prime rib? Kayla came by to check in a couple of times, she was excellent! Personally, I'd reconsider coming by again

The Maple Pear & Blue Salad from Horatio's tasted like somebody dumped maple syrup on a Costco spring mix and prayed the blue cheese would distract you. Also... where were the pears? I think I found one witness-protection-program slice hiding under a leaf. And the Cajun Chicken Fettuccine? Menu made it sound like New Orleans. Plate showed up tasting like microwaved spaghetti with commitment issues.

Haven't been to Horatio's since I was a teen. It's sits off in the marina by El Torito's and Marina Inn. Nice size parking lot but not very well lit. The restaurant itself is a little on the darker side but the aesthetic gives port or ship vibes. The service was a bit slow. It took an hour to receive the incorrect order, while noticing that larger tables sat after us already had their food. We received the taster platter but the bread was burnt. 4/10 I had the grilled shrimp scampi with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Good flavor but wasn't hot. Nice size shrimp. The potatoes had seized and the asparagus- thin and overcooked!! 6/10 Lobster bisque was flavorful but came late. 8/10 The crab and shrimp pasta was well seasoned and a nice portion. Quite rich. 8/10 Perhaps just an off night. Willing to try again in the future

This is one of the prettiest restaurants I have been to. The view as the sun was setting was out of this world. All of the food we tried was quality including the sampler, Cesar salad, and the fettuccine. The only downside at the time was the waiting. It took our food about an hour to come out with little to no check ins and we got so hungry. Luckily the complimentary bread was able to keep us occupied for a bit but other than that it's worth a visit!

Horatio's is a very nice spot at the San Leandro Marina, that we've had the pleasure of visiting a couple of times now. The location couldn't be better. Overlooking the water, this is a great place to have a romantic dinner or drinks while watching the sunset. The interior is very nice, with a nautical motif. The restaurant is very spacious, a good choice if you're hosting a party with a large group. Horatio's is affiliated with Skates on the Bay and Kinkaids, of the Landry's Restaurant Group, which I picked up on right away, since they have a similar menu and motif. Skates fell out of favor with us after a really bad service experience there years ago, but we won't hold that against Horatio's. So far we've only been in for drinks and appetizers, but I'm looking forward to having a full dinner here soon. Appetizer-wise, their crab and artichoke dip is a must. They also start you off with warm garlic bread, which is yum. They have a very nice menu of creative craft cocktails. Reminds me of a really swanky cocktail lounge called Petrus we went to when we were in Serbia a few years ago. Service is excellent. Staff is welcoming, attentive, and professional. We look forward to returning soon.

This is the place where it all started. Our fav of all is their Broadway Pea Salad ... so refreshing and very tasty!! Everything is delicious and cooked to perfection as always

What a great find by the marina! This seafood spot totally nails the coastal vibe -- the interior feels like you're dining inside a ship, with tons of nautical décor that makes the whole experience feel fun and immersive. Pretty neat place overall, and the atmosphere really sets the tone for a relaxed, waterfront meal. The food was so good. The calamari was perfectly cooked -- crispy on the outside, tender on the inside AND had fried artichokes too! -- and the salmon BLTA sammie was absolutely amazing. Super fresh, flavorful, and piled high with all the good stuff. Definitely a must-order. They also have a great selection of beers on tap, which paired perfectly with everything. And shoutout to our server, David! He was so sweet and attentive, checking in just the right amount and making sure we had everything we needed. Service like that makes such a difference. Can't wait to come back and try more from this yummy menu. Highly recommend if you're craving seafood by the water!

    Ask the Community - Horatio's

Does Horatio have a private room for private events?

Don't think so...but they have a private area that we've been so for several work parties

Does Horatio's still have Key Lime Pie for dessert? It was awesome and I'd like to get some if it's still on their menu.

Yes that's their specialty dessert as well as creme brulee

Do they have happy hour if so what times?

Monday-Thursday 3-5:30p in the bar and lounge only

What time is lunch over and dinner menu is giving?

    They don't make a distinction. Mon - Thursday 11:30 - 9 Friday- Saturday 11:30 - 10

Is this a good spot for a social occasion, like a birthday? Would you choose this over paradiso?

Yes, the food is excellent there and it is an upscale restaurant, but make sure to ask to be seated in the dining room and NOT in the bar. If they seat you in the bar, you will be packed in back to back like sardines and will not feel like a…

How much is the corkage fee?

    $20.00

    When is happy hour?

They currently do not have a happy hour and are not sure if they will start it up again

    Is there a kid's menu?

    No there is not

Do you have outdoor dining? Heaters?

I've only eaten on their outside patio during the Spring, it's lovely

Any updates on when happy hour will be back?

I called Horatio's and spoke to one of their employees. Currently they are not doing happy hour. He told me that it will probably be in the fall, but it is at management's discretion to start up the happy hour.

Are you reopen for indoor dining yet?

    Yes

Do they have a dance floor?

    No, they do not.

    What time is happy hour?

    4 to 6pm

    Are there vegetarian options?

Honestly even if there was a vegetarian option I wouldn't recommend this place it's overpriced and not that good. Maybe a glass of wine and looking at the boats as what I would recommend

The food we ordered and the service we received (shoutout to Han) were superb. We sat outside since we had a doggo with us. When Han saw that we also had my toddler with us, she immediately brought out a coloring page, crayons, and water straw cup. I always appreciate places that think of the little ones! It was going to be a bit cramped to fit everything on one table so Han proactively suggested adding another table. Truly appreciate how attentive, thoughtful, and accommodating she was. For the 3.5 of us, we ordered 3 starters and 1 main. My girlfriends don't stuff themselves like I do, so we had plenty of food to share and bring home. First of all, definitely order the SMOKED BRISKET. I was shocked at how good this was. Haven't had brisket this good in a long time. The meat was so tender, flavorful, and had a perfect amount of fattiness to it. The baked beans, potato salad, and cornbread were all delicious too. I want to order this every time I go back now. The deviled eggs comes with 5. Love how the chili crunch and pickled cucumbers provide contrasting textures to the deviled eggs itself. All the ingredients and flavors really complemented each other. The garlic parmesan fries were yummy and come with your choice of sauce. And lastly, the hot artichoke and jalapeño dip comes with slices of sourdough baguette. I enjoyed this but wish they toasted the bread. Also, they have a wonderful selection of alcohol. I'm 6 weeks postpartum and breastfeeding so I sadly opted out of drinking this time around but looking forward to coming back and getting a cocktail to go along with the smoked brisket :P

There was also a DJ keeping the crowd energized, playing music and hyping everyone up during the match, which added so much to the atmosphere. Actually probably with out exception...the best in the Bay Area from a fast food joint. So why the 3 stars you might ask? Well.... Read on. Ok so I have heard so much hype about Smack Burgers that I was willing to drive "in traffic" 74 miles round trip to try them. It's located in a little shopping center where parking is a premium, seriously I was blessed to pull in as a guy was pulling out "the whole lot was completely full, cars were circling like vultures looking for a spot" after parking we walked in and noted the inside was simple yet orderly with with well placed signs, a very simple clear and concise menu, tables that were all clean a TV to watch the soccer game " I thought that was very unique for a fast food restaurant, and a soda machine. Fast food but with a take your time and stay a while attitude. 5 stars for the set up! Our server was great! I wanted to order a breakfast burrito along with my hamburger because I've herd so much about the Burrito's but unfortunately for me I was about an hour too late... "sad face" as they only serve them until noon. I think she felt sorry for me because she gave wifey a free drink. Anyways she gets 5 stars. I ordered: A strawberry lemonade. A 1/2 onion ring, 1/2 waffle fries tray. A Smack burger with lettuce and tomato, no pickle. The run down: The strawberry lemonade: IMO mediocre at best. Solid 2.5 stars it did have a strawberry flavor but had a funky aftertaste. The Onion rings: Meh 1.5 stars tops. While they were crispy and not oily they had a tiny flavor to them and honestly they just were not good. "Even their ranch dressing could not help the nasty aftertaste" The waffle fries: I'd give them a solid 3 stars while they are not the best fries I've ever had.... I found myself reaching back for more, the spice on them was also very good. I only wish that they had ketchup to put on them. (I didn't ask and I didn't see any, maybe I needed to ask?) The burger: this is the best part! People come here for their burgers!! With 2 three oz. perfectly seasoned patties, tons of grilled onions, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and their sauce They are simply amazing! How amazing you ask? Well after eating the above menu items "and they give you a lot of food mind you" I ordered one to take home with me, no joke, I really did, they are that freakin good. Bottom line: #1.Their prices are reasonable for today's crazy high food costs #2. Is it worth driving 74miles just for their burgers and nothing else? You know it just might be.

Not a lot of taco spots are open late at 10p but I saw that PNT was open. My family and I pulled into the driveway and were confused because it looked and sounded like a bar. There were a few people standing outside and I asked if this was a bar or restaurant and the gentleman said it's a restaurant. We walk in and got some stares because it was late and we had kids. Didn't matter to us. Everything on the menu sounded delish and they had al day breakfast items. We ended up going with the following: 1. Chicken sandwich- 10/10 my teen loved this. It was a crispy thinly sliced chicken breast with all the fixings, and pressed to perfection. 2. Chicken Caesar salad - 10/10 the lettuce was Romain, tossed in Caesar dressing and parm, with grilled chicken filet. 3. 4 tacos de asada - 10/10 yummy chopped steak, seasoned and grilled to perfection. I'm not sure if the evening chef cooks better or maybe we were starving, but the food was great! Ambience at the time was pretty loud but I figure it's because people hanging out in the bar area. Definitely will be back.

‼Absolutely horrible tasting food that is ridiculously over priced oh my god. NOT WORTH MY $44 !…read more I got these food items: Asada tacos- 1/2 of the taco meat was just big oily chunks of fat, I spat it out immediately. Rest of it was tolerable to chew. Tortilla was dry and oily. Al Pastor tacos- bland meat with a lingering dry pepper aftertaste that makes the meat taste old. Took one bite and was immediately repulsed. Chips and dip (guac and salsa)- chips are oily and hard to chew. Guac was bland, no garlic or cut tomato. Salsa was a viscous sludge in a small tub, had the same pepper taste as the Al Pastor. Horchata drink- too much cinnamon and saw multiple lidded to go cups of this already made in the fridge behind the register, no expiration dates on them. ALSO PLEASE UPDATE THE PRICES ON YOUR MENU, I was charged $11.95 for the chips and dip but the menu says "house chips and guac $9.50" ... how is salsa $2.45? Only positive thing I would mention is that the free tiny salsa, slice of lime, sliced radish, and pickled jalapeño and carrot was nice of them. Wish the pickled veggies didn't drip vinegar all over the bag (it was wrapped in tin foil). Never been here before and never coming back again.
