    Let's of new games
    Bonni R.

Large casino with several dining options. Servers are almost nonexistent on the casino floor but there are a couple of self serve beverage stations. They have a poker room but it's not very busy - they're lucky to get one table. They have a baccarat area as well as lots of table games. Fun place to play but keep those expectations low.

Damage to a vehicle. A male car, the F into the a car door

When parking my car on 6/22 I witnessed a male carve the letter F into a vehicle, parked next to him. When I reported to this to the security department as well as the police, nobody really took me seriously. I would strongly caution anyone parking in this garage.

I typically stay here but the last 2 times were not great. Went up 3-1 for my son's birthday. Checking in the gentlemen was not friendly I have had him before and same attitude. I get to my room the doors are wide open for the balcony a generator was running in my bathroom, a cleaning rag was on the carpet floor. The elevators were dirty, the machines were dirty. Then the next morning it's 930AM housekeeping comes in my room no knock no nothing. I clearly have a do not disturb sign on my door or I haven't even checked out and check out isn't til 11. I am platinum status here but it shouldn't matter everyone should receive great customer service, clean environment, and an enjoyable stay.

    Closet in junior suite

Stayed here when it was Isle of Capri. It's redecorated. They're adding a restaurant. There's a fancy food dispenser that's self serve. Starbucks on the lower floor. We checked in and because the person who booked us for our room prize didn't book us into the right size room, got an upgrade. Yay! Neil at the front desk did that for us as our prize allowed us to book a junior suite room. Came with some credits too so he loaded those. Had self parked in the garage so we went back for our luggage and headed upstairs. The room was not what I considered a 'suite' size but the bathroom was nice. Love the shower stall! Water pressure so good and I love the seat in the shower stall. There's a patio door but no patio. Still nice to be able to open it and let the fresh mountain breeze in. The air outside was cooler than inside so that helped. The casino was nice. A beverage area for self serve drinks. Nicer restrooms. People who work there fluctuate between nice and downright not. The cafe and restaurant not great. We went out to eat. They don't charge parking fees but the resort fee per day of $35 gets you. There's a shuttle stop right out front which is handy. And close to the creek walk. There's a desk with computer and printer and a lovely seating area with a fireplace. Small convenience area with necessities and snacks. We walked to a convenience store a few blocks away to get water and beer. More affordable. I also wasn't happy when I dropped my lipstick and reached under the dresser and touched something squishy. It was a cotton ball along with some other dirt. Obviously the room hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in a while. It was disgusting. I'm not sure if I would stay at this hotel again. The cotton ball and the bad food kinda killed it. And there wasn't enough to overcome those negatives. Nothing special. Nothing special in service either. Took a while to get my rewards card activated. Doing it online didn't complete the process or make it easier. And there's no one to explain that you should combine your winning ticket print outs into one so the cashier was grumpy at me. How am I supposed to know? So while I was glad of the win which allowed me to have a getaway, I don't know if I would have paid to stay.

    Gross.

Really liked staying here but after our last visit will choose different resort. We had a moldy shower and after letting the manager know she had me spending my time email pics. She offer for someone to clean it which should have been done already I'm like give me clorox wipes I'll do it . I then said maybe you should give us a discount for dealing with this but nope paid I full won't be back.

Extremely disappointing experience involving a cash discrepancy, surveillance, and management's…read moreresponse. I have been a frequent patron for approximately three years, visiting 2-3 times a week. I am an ELITE member and have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars here. I have always treated the staff respectfully and have regularly shown my appreciation for their work. Tonight, I played more than $10,000 and participated in the casino's Mercedes-Benz promotion/finale. After leaving a table, I had $400. The casino's surveillance later confirmed that I had $400 at the table. I went to the bathroom, then immediately checked the money in my hand and confirmed with my partner that I still had $400 before going directly to the cage. I handed the money to the cage employee, who said I had given them only $300. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was told to "look on the floor," and another employee suggested I may have lost the money in the bathroom. I requested a manager. The manager initially said surveillance showed only $300 at the cage, but after reviewing the table footage, he confirmed that I had $400 there. Despite that confirmation, I was told I must have lost the additional $100 somewhere between the table, bathroom, and cage. I asked to see the surveillance footage so the matter could be resolved objectively. I was refused and told I would need to subpoena it through court. The manager's conduct was especially concerning. He personally represented himself as the "head manager" and highest-ranking manager at the entire casino. However, when I requested his name, business card, or any other identifying information so I could formally document the complaint, he refused. I also attempted to photograph his name badge and was told I could not. When I continued asking questions, I was told that security would be called if I did not leave. This is not about losing $100 while gambling. It is about a cash discrepancy, the lack of transparency, and how a legitimate concern was handled. The casino confirmed I had $400 at the table, I personally confirmed it before approaching the cage, and the cage employee said only $300 was received. I am asking management and corporate leadership to review the surveillance footage, cage transaction, employee conduct, and management response. Customers deserve honesty, accountability, transparency, and respect--regardless of their status or how much they spend. After three years of loyalty, I will be seriously reconsidering where I spend my money.

After we were in our rooms we went down and over the sky bridge over the street to the casino. I was surprised to hear that he could not offer me Jameson for free but he did offer Tullamore which is also an Irish Whiskey. And it's good too so I had no problem. I really enjoyed sitting at the bar and talking to the bar tender about the area. The casino is really nice although the girls were not very successful at this casino. Let me tell you about this place…read more.. The frustration started the second we checked in. There was absolutely NO ONE at the front desk. And I don't mean for a minute or two... we waited 10-15 minutes before anyone finally showed up. Once we got into our room, it honestly just felt... dirty. I'm pretty sure the carpet has been there since dinosaurs roamed the Earth. The whole room just had that gross, grimy feeling. The customer service didn't get much better. Around midnight, I called the front desk to ask if they had feminine products. The gentleman on the phone said, "Yes, just come down to the front desk." So down I went... only to find myself standing there waiting. Again. After about 10 minutes, I noticed a sign that said to call a number if no one was at the desk. I called and was told no one would be there until the morning. Seriously? Thankfully, another employee happened to walk by and told me there *should* be feminine products in a few of the vending machines. Great! Except... nope. I checked three different machines, and not a single one had any. By this point, I felt like I'd walked a marathon. You know how casino hotels are... everything is somehow a mile away. I ended up rushing over to a different casino and made it with about five minutes before their store closed. The entire stay was one frustration after another. Between the lack of staff, the dirty room, and the poor customer service, this place was a huge disappointment. I won't be staying here again.

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES, DISCRIMINATION, AND STOLEN DEPOSITS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!…read moreOh, If I could give this place zero stars, I would over and over and over. Our two-night stay cost nearly $1,000, and this hotel still decided to run a bait-and-switch scam to steal over $400 of my hard-earned money. Between the deceptive financial practices, the horrific customer service, and the blatant microaggressions, this was definitely the worst hospitality experience I've ever had. We usually stay at the Lady Luck, but we found a deal and thought we'd try this out. What a massive mistake. The games are nothing to rave about, either. The nightmare started the second we walked in. It was around 11 AM, and before we could even ask a single question about our reservation, a front desk agent named Kari snapped that we couldn't check in early, pointing to a "sold out" sign. Her attitude was snarky, dismissive, cold, and full of bare-minimum effort. We frequent Blackhawk at least twice or 3 times a month at minimum. However, with it being my brothers birthday weekend and he has never been to a casino - I thought a couple days on the mountain would be fun. My brother and I are Black, and my boyfriend is white, and the stark difference in how we were treated felt blatantly discriminatory. We all know what the predominant race is in this area. We should have known to turn around right then and there and stuck with what we knew. I booked through a third party site - which I have done countless times before. And you better believe we were treated like third class citizens. Prior to arriving, I called to find out the deposit. If you look on their website it shows no deposit. On the call, we were explicitly told there would be a total $150 hold total for both rooms. That was a lie. When we finally checked in, another desk representative, Mary Kay, swiped my card without ever telling me the final total. I only found out after the fact that she secretly authorized a hidden $205 deposit per room. Hiding a $411 pending charge until literally after a card is swiped is incredibly shady. Being from Texas, my brother unfortunately got altitude sickness during the trip. However, he completely cleaned up after himself. We specifically brought our own trash bags and Clorox wipes, making sure all trash was bagged and any trash was in the can. We had two double beds in our room and didn't even use the second one. I work in property management--I know exactly what "clean" means. The rooms were used for a couple of days like any normal hotel stay, but they were absolutely NOT trashed. We even took before-and-after photos and videos of the rooms because of the ridiculously high holding fee, figuring a little thing here and there wouldn't hurt, but knowing we needed to protect ourselves. We are going to enjoy our rooms if you are holding my money that we couldn't even use. Completely unexpected deposit and I only wish now that I had turned away. When we checked out no one was at the desk. It was rather early as I had to work, but still just before 9 nobody at the desk to checkout is pretty bad. No one emailed me a receipt. I had to call. Super sneaky. Turns out they had one r missing from my name when the clearly had my information with the correct spelling.. yet another thing that felt "off". I should have stuck with my gut. I could've received my credit for Hotwire and would've booked the two rooms at Lady Luck. When the pending charges posted today, I saw they kept the entire $411.88. I spoke with a representative named Holly, and then dealt with a supervisor named Tony "once he finished his lunch" I was on hold for nearly an hour total the three times I called to reach someone. Tony was incredibly rude, dismissive, lackluster, aggressively lying to me by claiming the rooms were "trashed" and took "longer to clean." Yes, we were in there for a few days, so of course it takes normal cleaning - that is literally what hospitality is. But using that as a fabricated excuse to steal a deposit is actual fraud. I will get my money back one way or another, and I will never recommend or stay at this horrible, swindling hotel. We will stick with Lady luck. We get our deposit back instantly. Grand Z and Maverick is a disgrace of a hotel/casino. With the Z Casino closing, they must be struggling financially, but you won't use unfair business practices with me. I am a licensed bettor, I know the ropes, and I am reporting this scam to the gaming board, my bank, and several other regulatory entities with my video and photo evidence attached.
