Horseshoe Junction was the perfect way to cap off our date night. My boyfriend and I pulled into Horseshoe right as they opened and we were greeted immediately. The establishment looked clean and had a lot to offer... - arcade - mini golf (18 holes) - bumper boats (currently not running due to pool chemical shortage) - rock climbing - go karts We only opted for the mini golf and it was fantastic. I saw a recent review that someone felt the turf was dated and needed to be replaced... must've been replaced because the turf seemed to be perfect ! the holes were fun and the space was well kept. This place has a little bit of everything for different age ranges. Thanks to that Texas heat we are all so fond of my kids opted to do all things indoors which included the play area and arcade. No one wanted to laser tag. We even went outside and showed them all the outside options, again that lovely Texas hot. But its not to say they don't have some great selections go karts, rock climbing, rock mining, & mini golf. Unfortunately due to a chlorine shortage the bumper boats weren't running. And there are not many shaded places to escape the heat if you cant get wet. The play area for 2-8 years old was loved by my 3 year old and her older brother joined after realizing there is a game casted on the ground. There were interactive wall activities and foam shapes along with jungle gym and slides. The arcade is pretty small and the game options are very limited. Ticket based of course as your trying to get those prizes. You put your points on a card and it keeps track of your tickets, I'd say average cost of points per game was 4. We purchased the 120 points for $40 bucks (about 30 games which was plenty for my two kiddos and us adults). Could use a little bit of maintenance and more outside shade. A pretty fun place for a kids birthday party. Pricing is all based on a card system you get where you can get wristbands for an entire day. Not sure how that works. We read the go carts played laser tag ate pizza and the kids played almost every game there was was quite fun. It's been about 2 1/2 hours, everyone had a good time. My only complaint would be that they seem understaffed. The snack bar usually did not have anyone there. You had to wait a few minutes so I will show it magically from who knows where. I guess it has been a couple of years since I was here. The outdoor activities are way run down. The first hole on the mini golf is impossible to get because of the green being so torn up and messed up. And not just the first hole, the green is messed up all the way around. All of the water features outside throughout the mini golf were an eyesore because the water is off and what little water is there is very nasty looking. The bumper boats are also out of commission and no water there either. There are two trampolines, but one was deflated. On the plus side, the girl at ticket counter was very nice and my two littles had fun in the tot zone area and enjoyed their enormous shaved ice. read more

While looking through one of those tourist brochures while waiting for our tour at the Blue Bell Creamery, we came across a place with putt putt. I love myself some miniature golf or as I like to call it...putt putt. It's located behind the movie theater so you don't really notice it at first, but then you get a glimpse of the go kart track and you know you're there. The place has an arcade on the inside, which is quite small but if you were about 5 or 6 years old, it can definitely seem like a huge arcade. They have your typical arcade games including miniature bowling, which would be great for little ones, but not so much as an adult. They also have bumper boats but the pool area is a bit small, which of course would be perfect for the little ones. The putt putt was 5 bucks per person, which I guess wasn't too bad, but I haven't played putt putt since I moved to Texas about 4 years ago or so. I don't know what the usual going price is for putt putt. It was in the middle of the day and the sun was blazing, and really no one is outside, which was totally understandable. It worked in our favor because that meant we had the course all to ourselves. We could take our time, redo the holes we messed up on, and try to get the hole in ones. The course is OK, there's nothing really fancy to it. There are a few holes that have more complicated tasks but the general course is designed for younger kids so it's a bit on the easier side. I always enjoy the holes where you hit it inside a house or structure and hope that it comes out the correct hole for an instant hole in one. Even though it was simple and the weather was a nice 98 degrees or so, I had fun. I just wished the course was more complicated. read more

Planned a day trip to check it out. Not a bad place. The seat belts in some of the golf carts needs to be replaced. The kids had fun which was the most important thing. The bathrooms were gross, water leaking from 3 of the commodes in the ladies room. They put towels on the floor to soak up the water. They need to fix the bathrooms not cover the issues up. Fun place if you are in the area! We wanted to bring the kids to have some fun before summer ended and they had a blast! The place does need some TLC and better upkeep, especially if they are going to charge the prices they do. We were able to take advantage of a buy one wrist band get one for a penny deal. My children's favorite activities were the gocarts and the mini golf. The mini golf course was a lot of fun and challenging for everyone. There were a few spots that need repair but it didn't distract too much from the game. The gocarts were fun but the employees running them were very lackadaisical and messy with how they did it. There were many teenagers that would cut the line so I had to step in and handle it myself since they didn't do anything about it. All in all we would go again for sure. The snack bar pricing is very fair for what it is and the activities were super fun for 10 year olds. read more

Did our sons 11th birthday party here. First of all, I reserved the room from 11-1 but was told upon arrival that we needed to eat and everything before the kids play because we had to be out of the room by 12:30 because they had another party at 1. Have you ever tried getting 10 kids in an arcade to sit down and eat before they play? ‍ Plus that time could've been used for the kids to go outside and beat the rain. Several of my guests complained that the place smelled of urine. They literally gave us 8 plates, 8 napkins, and 8 cups which wasn't enough for the kids we paid extra for, much less the adults. Then at 12:30 all the adults in our group were left just standing in the arcade until the kids wristbands expired. Also, it rained off and on so some of the kids got to ride the go carts one time and the outside was closed the rest of the time, which is understandable, but the kids should have been offered extra time on their wristbands or we should have received a discount since the outside attractions were the reason we booked there in the first place. We have a Lazer Tag/arcade in the town we're from so we could've saved money and travel time by staying in our home town but our son wanted to do bumper boats and go Karts. While looking for a Daddy/Daughter date activity my daughter suggested Horseshoe Junction. the first thing I did was look up their web page and BINGO! they had a summer special, weeknights after 6 you can get unlimited attractions (Go carts, Laser tag, Mini golf, rock climbing wall, Jumpers, bumper boats.) for only $10 per person. normally you pay for an hour or two and it costs much more. The park itself was not overcrowded on a Thursday night. and the attractions are kept in good working order so you can trust that your kids are going to be safe. the staff is friendly although they do develop an annoyed babysitter tone to their voice when they talk to the kids who hold season passes and are their every day. My favorite attraction is the go karts, the track is well laid out with mostly hairpin turns and a straight away. The Karts are governed electronically and automatically adjust the throttle to maintain a safe speed into the turns, this is a nice feature for younger drivers who my become overenthusiastic in their racing. overall Horseshoe Junction is a fun place to spend some time with the kids or a date who doesn't mind being competitive with you. 4 STARS! I love this place. It should be rated 4 Stars consistently. Brenham doesn't have much to offer but the Smith family knows how to entertain. From their gas stations to gifts shops, movie theatre to this awesome family fun center, thank you for giving the local kids a place to play. The laser tag is better than many other laser places in large cities. They arcade has all types of game and the go karts always run fast. They have both indoor and outdoor fun. My family comes here once a year to ride the go karts. I've never seen a rude employee. They are all super helpful! That being said, I'm severely disappointed every year we come back. This may be our last year. The number of things that need to be repaired or that they are out of is staggering. The women's restroom has puddles from the ceiling leaking. The bumper boats have never been in working order since we started coming. The laser tag is just lame. This would be an awesome place with some much needed tlc. Reading the other reviews I noticed it is owned by a family with other local businesses. Knowing that makes me sad that they don't care to make this place what it could be. read more

My 5 and 14 y/o had tons of fun. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The all day wrist bands are a great deal. My kids did all the activities more than 3 times. The last 3 hours of the day, the wrist bands are half off. This place has lots of games, go karts, bumper boats, miniature golf, a rock wall, laser tag and more. Extremely disappointing, i got a $20 unlimited game pass for both of my kids and the games didnt work. They were off and not functioning, there was two games that worked, if i had know that before i would have never bought the unlimited pass, as they did not use them, and when asking management about the issues they blew me off and wouldnt even acknowledge that the games didnt work nor refund the money. The bumper boats didnt work, only one bungee jump worked. Even the ticket games over half were not working and i had separate cards for those. Decided to take a trip to Brenham for the day. This was listed as a place to check out. Overall, not too bad. The only downside was the customer service. When the ticket machine got stuck dispensing tickets, I mentioned it to an employee and without hesitation she responded "I'm off the clock" and walked off. Then, another employee came by and wishing for better luck, her response was "yeah, that sort of thing happens," and she too, continued on. If you are going to have rules to ride the rides then your employee's should enforce them since that is part of there job and what they are getting paid for. Just because the two girls are your friends is NO reason to let them get away with knocking into everyone on the go carts. Yes, I feel the young black boy that was working the go carts on 10/11/15 should be fired. If someone ask to speak to a manager that doesn't give you the right to pop an attitude and when several people tell you that the same two girls are bumping into everyone then you make a ugly smirk on your face as soon as the person complains to you because they almost got knocked over then maybe you need to find a job where you don't have to deal with people. read more

My husband and I decided to take our 7 year old son to Horseshoe Junction because that's what he wanted to spend some of his birthday money on and got there a little after 7pm. It wasn't too much time to take him but he wanted to go so we took him. We got a coupon we were going to apply to his Extreme Wristband and that was of course the only way you could use the coupon and the Manager told us we couldn't use it because it was towards the end of the day. That makes no sense as well as there is no time stipulations on the coupon. The coupon doesn't have any stipulations against it besides you can't use it for any other offers except for of course the Extreme Wristbands and that's exactly what we're using it for. Not only this one issue but several of the games aren't working properly I just happened to be the same ones not working the last time we visited about a year ago! Also the manager was very unprofessional and had a very ugly I could care less attitude when we asked him why couldn't we use our coupon. We definitely won't be back considering the above issues as well as a paying customer doesn't want to attend a "Family Fun" Facility with non working games. Heck they didn't even make us aware that so many games weren't working before we paid! This is ridiculous and I'm absolutely upset that our son didn't get to enjoy his birthday money the way he intended being that he wasn't able to enjoy all the perks of attending Horseshoe Junction! The wait to get in is ridiculous. One person at the counter and she left a long line to go do something and took forever to come back. Entry should be faster. Pricing is too high for the quality of the activities. $15 for all day passes but u have to pay an extra $15 to include laser tag and the go karts. I hate I spent $30 and didn't even get to play arcade games because they cost extra. The mini golf is okay but the "ponds" surrounding smell really bad and it makes it unpleasant. The go karts are really old and look dangerous. They were being repaired on site and put back in use without first being tested. Don't even consider the balladium or laser tag if you're not with a group, they're worthless. Other than that, the bumper boats and rock climbing were just about as exciting as you can imagine. Bowling no longer exists, they're building something new there, but really need to invest in updating the existing attractions. Overall, the place is old and seems to be falling apart and is really in need of an update. At most, I'd pay no more than $15 for an all day pass for all activities including arcade. Its not worth going up there to spend $30+ to have fun . you can't stay all day, there just isn't enough to do. After about an hour or two max, its no longer fun. read more

This place is hard to find because they have spent NO money on signs. We purchased 4 All-Day wristbands. The cashier FAILED to tell us that the Bumper Boats were closed for the day, so we feel VERY ripped-off! She never mentioned it, and neither did the manager she had to call out to the register for help. It was near 100 degrees and a water activity might have made the place bearable. There is only one shade structure and it is over the go-cart station. We will never return, just because of their lack of honesty in not telling us before our purchase. read more

I take a large group of campers to this place every summer and they enjoy it. The price for a group rate is reasonable, food is tasty, the staff is always friendly, the area is always clean, and no issues with any of the arcades. I have always dealt with a state purchase orders (P.O.'s) and the management has always been easy to deal with. Prompt responses on e-mails and sending invoices. Just this past December I brought my nephew here to experience Brenham, Texas, prior to him relocating to Germany (military child.) He really enjoyed himself. The staff treated him like a king. This place is a joke. The manager is an extremely cocky arrogant white guy.(Justin). They Lure you in with a Groupon that has to be bought 24 hours before hand. There system doesn't take cards with chips or cards that expire past 2021. So we had to drive to a bank to get money out. I asked Justin the manager if he could give us a slight discount for the inconvenience and he rudely said no! The entire time we were there he had the shittiest look in his face, as if took my inconvenience personal. I called the general manager directly who as of now has not returned my call. To be cont. We had a blast! My husband and three daughters (ages 4,5,8) all were able to play on all of the rides with my 4 and 5-year olds riding most of the rides for free as passengers. Mr. Smith, My family and I visited your establishment on Saturday, September 27th 2014 for my niece's birthday. This is the place she choose to go and we drove from College Station. We purchased 5 all day extreme wristbands and 2 of the $20.00 pick 5 packs. I was highly disappointed in the service we received. The bumper boats only had 2 working boats so only 4 of our group could participate at a time. We all wanted to participate at the same time. So this left us disappointed. The Slingshot Jumpers and Rockwall had one attendant running all 3 attractions. By the looks of the Rockwall I am assuming that more than one person could climb at a time but with only one attendant that was not possible. One of your employees came out and was getting on to my grandson because he was playing with his Aunt as she was trying to unhook herself from the harness. This was going on while he was waiting for the attendant to hook him up to the slingshot. I approached her at the time and told her that it was ridiculous to pay the money we did and receive the service we were receiving. She informed me that she was short staffed everywhere and I informed her that I did not care about that. We paid our money and wanted our kids to be able to utilize every attraction. I asked to speak to the manager and the general manager came out and informed me that the attendant should be able to handle all three attractions by herself. I did not feel this way. I also informed him that I did not think the owner would be happy with the service we were receiving. He seemed to not care and went back in the office and continued to do whatever it was he was doing. So this attraction was not utilized by our group because the attendant could not keep up with the demand. The game with all the balls in it that you shoot at the targets did not have an attendant at all so I had to go find one. We all get in there and all the balls were scattered all over the floor. She did not try to help us pick them up she left and went back to the kitchen and came back with a drink and just stood there. I asked my daughter to help pick the balls up and she said it is the attendants job not hers. The attendant still did not pick up any balls. The last attraction we did was Laser Tag. We did enjoy this and the attendant Paige was very friendly and explained everything that we needed to do. I was however disappointed because we wanted a print out of our score and could not get one because something was broke. I think I speak for the rest of my family when I say we will not go back to your establishment. The money we spent far exceeded the service we received. I understand you have high school students working there but you also need to have a manager that cares about your place. By the looks of how things are being ran you do not have that. My kids (12 & 7 yrs old) have been asking to try this place out. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the place was absolutely amazing! The fun park had a ton of things to interest teens & younger, from go karts, bumper boats, bowling, lazer tag, arcades, climbing wall, mini golf, a moon jump and more. We bought the all day pass, and it was certainly worth it. The staff was amazing as well; everyone was so friendly and helpful, and generally really seemed to be enjoying their jobs.
