Mushy shrimp that fell apart and was just totally inedible - hard to tell in this photo what the review describes
    Kris P.

I ordered the healthy steamed shrimp and veggies for delivery. When it arrived each shrimp was mushy and soft and would just fall apart. That shouldn't happen especially with every shrimp in an order. It was totally inedible and unappealing. I called to inform the restaurant. They offered me a $6 credit. I requested a full credit on the entrée since it was inedible. They told me in order to get a full credit, I would have to drive the food back to the restaurant. Reminder, I requested delivery to begin with and they messed up the order and then asked me to drive it back to them for a full entree credit. They also told me that they wouldn't give me a full credit because they hadn't received any other calls complaining about food tonight. I've posted a picture of the shrimp. I realize it's hard to visually see what I'm describing, but if you've ever had shrimp that was mushy and soft and fell apart this is what it looks like in a photo. The owner was the one making these decisions that were relayed back to me on the phone. Absolutely terrible and cheap owner with no regard for a paying customer, or the quality output of their food. Don't go here. Find another place. There's plenty of others to choose from.

Sorry, but I must pass on this one. I've been on the hunt for New york style Chinese food, and this didn't hit the mark. I ordered chicken and broccoli with egg rolls. You can taste a lot of fish sauce in the chicken and Broccoli...not a fan. Also, the egg rolls were not good. Mushy inside and no flavor. I'm looking for that pork inside, and I saw nothing. Better luck next time.

Honestly a solid Chinese takeout place, not too bad but also not spectacular. I got the general Tso's combo and the egg roll was not the best but the chicken fried rice was not bad. The chicken itself was decent and not too breaded which I like. Not the worst place to grab Chinese takeout.

I order quite frequently from Ho's and have had a few problems like missing items from the order which they took care of the problem. On this occasion I ordered and when the food was delivered it was completely unacceptable. The vegetables were not throughly cooked, the eggrolls were burnt and I can't describe how terribly overcooked the fried wonton were. I called the restaurant and asked for a review which they agreed to but said they would come back to pick up the food. I have no problem with that so I threw the slop back into the bag for them to pickup. To bad they can't deliver the food as fast as they can come back to pick it up.

We ordered delivery and the food was delicious. Huge portions, too, so plenty of leftovers. I highly recommend the scallops and shrimp.

I didn't like their fried rice because it's yellow and not as tasty as other ones. I think fried rice should look more brown than yellow.

We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered: +Crab Rangoon - triangular-shaped, generously filled with the cream cheese/crab mixture; could have been a bit more crispy, as it was slightly chewy; the sweet & sour dipping sauce was a great complement +Chow Fun - we opted for the beef as a protein; the noodles were extremely wide, which was great; you can kick it up with chili oil and soy sauce; beef were plentiful +Mongolian Beef - lots of onions and scallions, this had a good flavor; you can add more of a saltiness to it with soy sauce This is definitely a family-run and -operated eatery, as the youngest son was taking orders and manning the register; all orders were made-to-order, so what you will be receiving will be super fresh! The owners were very kind, friendly, and attentive! There were a couple of tables inside, so we chose to dine in. Everything tasted fresh, not at all salty, and prepared with care and love. I'd love to try out their lunch specials and other chef specialty entrees on the next visit. This is a family-run restaurant and it was great to see that they had their very young son manning the counter and the cash register in a totally professional way. The menu is straight-forward with the usual and expected dishes. One dish I did not expect to see, but did, were hush puppies! Everything we ordered for takeout was excellent. Portions are generous and inexpensive. Note: there are two tables in the restaurant if you prefer to dine in. We ordered egg drop soup, crispy pork wontons, Mongolian Chicken and Mongolian Beef. The egg drop soup was better than your typical egg drop soup, with a flavorful broth and silky but still hearty texture. The wontons were packed with pork and came with a tasty bright red dipping sauce that complimented the wontons nicely. The Mongolian Beef and Mongolian Chicken are the same dish, with the only difference being the meat. These dishes were very well prepared with just the right amount of onion, scallion and sauce. The beef had a delicious slightly smoky flavor and was cut into nicely shaped pieces. The Mongolian dishes automatically come with white rice. Speaking of the rice, it had a great texture and just the right amount of moisture. Take out orders may take up to a half hour for them to be prepared, but it is well worth the wait. We will be back.

STEAMED CHICKEN MOMO (6) - 13 The chicken momos sat on top of a creamy chili garlic sauce that was a bit spicy. The momos were juicy and the filling was soft and flavorful. Good appetizer to share between the three of us. BUTTER CHICKEN - 19 Creamy and rich, tasted a bit sweeter than I was used to, almost like a chicken tikka masala. Pretty standard, but got the job done. Plenty of chicken in our curry. SAAG PANEER - 19 Vibrant green with the perfect loose, creamy texture that wasn't too chunky. Good amount of paneer in our portion. The spinach actually tasted like spinach, which I find rare at other restaurants that also serve saag/palak paneer. Definitely one of the better ones I've had! GARLIC NAAN - 4 Pretty typical, but good nonetheless. It was a bit greasy than I would have liked, but went well with the curries when we wanted to switch between bites of the basmati rice. Portions were pretty big and generous. Everything we ordered hit and all above average. The three of us were quite full after sharing an app + naan + two entrees. Stop by if you're in the area!

Always appreciate the minimalist yet still eloquently-decorated aesthetic of the restaurants, complete with a window to view the kitchen, which itself seemed relatively clean and well-kempt. Ordered the Woodear Mushroom and Mint Salad, and the Mogu Shiitake Mixian Ramen. The mushrooms were light and chewy, yet savory with citric and garlicky elements, and overall very refreshing. The ramen was solid in most respects, with a decent variety of vegetables and multiple proteins, including tofu, shiitakes, soybeans and marinated egg (which I enjoyed despite typically not liking hard-boiled egg too much). The noodles were a little bland, however, and didn't taste like they absorbed much of the broth. Overall, I'd say 4.5 stars are more accurate; YbP Noodle House is a regular haunt for me because the quality is there in most respects.

The restaurant had a back section that looked like it could be used as a separate party room and more booths and table in the front. Our server was good. He checked in with us frequently and made sure to keep us informed on our food status after taking our order. We tried the scallion bubble pancake, walnut shrimp, Mr Zhangs red braised pork belly, and beef chow fun. The bubble pancake was fun and had a good crunch and served with like a curry dip sauce. I would say if you get this, you should eat it first/soonest since i enjoyed it more at first bite while it was hot. The walnut shrimp was good, the shrimps were the smaller ones that were an easy way to snack. The braised pork belly was so tender. It reminded me of char siu, flavor wise, as long as you're ok with the pork belly (aka fatty pieces). Beef chow fun was good. We were interested in ordering the bento box, but he explained that it would take much longer because the kitchen was focused on brunch service and the chef would need to stop other tasks to prepare it. Overall, the prices seem to reflect the location more than the food, and the restaurant feels more like an Asian fusion spot. Most like for typical American.
