After shopping there for the last few years, my experience tells me that Hotbox hires personable, intelligent and helpful employees, who easily meet the mark of great retail customer service (4 or 4.5 out of 5 in my personal experience). That has been my experience as a customer of theirs for the past 3 or 4 years. But to me, to give a company a five-star rating, the real test is: how does leadership respond to concerning situations that rise beyond, say, menial retail service interactions (returns, helpfulness, etc). Will leadership listen to a customer with respect, and take appropriate action? Do they demonstrate care and concern for the health and safety of their employees? If so, then I would personally consider them a 5-star organization. In my experience, Hotbox rises to, and surpasses this very high standard. They listen, they care, and they take responsible actions to make things right. Big ups to the Hotbox staff and leadership. Hotbox northgate is my go to smoke shop. It is really rare if I go anywhere else, and I am willing to go out of my way to come to this location because I love it so much. The northgate location is close by my work and thankfully open late for those nights when i need juice or an extra coil asap. I know most of the staff that work here and every time I come in they always seem to have time to have more conversation than just about what I am buying, which I really value. Even when I come in and see new faces working here, they treat me as if they knew me. The prices are hard to beat and the amount of new product they push out is amazing. Everytime I come in (at least once a week) there is always something new to look at. Special thank you to Caleb in particular for being diligent with finding an answer to all of my questions even if he doesnt initially know the answer. Stopped by here today on a whim as I did not have enough time to make it further north on my work break. Staff was friendly and attentive and helped me with my needs. A little lacking on the mod section but I understand as they cover a wide variety of products. Glass prices are good with some great local artist blown products! Lots of high end vaporizers. Negative side: Decided to try a few new things and ended up going with a few bottles of Thunderhead vapor eliquid, was in a hurry so just picked a few and left. Absolutely the worst idea: Thunderhead vapor Eliquids taste like chemicals, harsh not true to description flavors and just downright gross. I do not know why they have this but it's just as bad as China eliquid. All in all, Staff was friendly and helpful, I will stop back in when around but will NOT purchase that brand ever!! read more

Within a couple minutes drive time from several other smoke shops but I make the 15 minute trip to this shop a couple times a week since I first stopped in a few months ago on my way to work. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable with regards to everything I've had questions about (vape mods, Kratom, CBD products, etc.). Went in today to get some stuff for my vaporizer and the staff was totally willing to step aside and help walk me through options and educate me. Prices are fair as well for most items.. Although they could use some more affordable or discounted options for Vapes and CBD items, but I'm not going to dock them a star for that.
