We're so happy we stumbled upon Hot Dog on a Run! Our pups had the best time on their first 60-minute Adventure Walk with Erol. We have two Goldendoodles and they both grew up in quarantine so they have a bit of separation anxiety and needed to socialize. We were probably more anxious than the pups, to be honest, lol but we knew they were in good hands. The pick-up and drop-off process was seamless. We were sent a few pictures of them and their new fur buddies on their adventure. It made us feel really good seeing them out having a good time. Love love love them! My dog had literally never spent a full workday alone in his life when I started my new gig. Especially after the past year of Covid where I was barely leaving him alone at all, I was so worried about leaving him alone for 8+ hours a day for several days a week. They send you pictures each day of the walk and in all of them he looks so happy!!! He has the biggest smile on his face in all of them! He's a chihuahua so he doesn't usually get along well with other dogs but many of the photos are him with other dogs having a ball on their walk. I can't say enough good things about Tara and her team and I'm so thankful I found them. It's very hard for me to trust others to watch him but I feel so safe trusting my fur baby with them. Tara even set up a meet and greet before his first walk so he could get used to her first since he can be wary of people too. You can tell they really care and that makes all the difference. The best! Had them watch our 40 pound lab mix and 20 lb dachshund mix for ten days, and the boys loved it! We signed up for the adventure package, which gets them out of the house for a 90 minute adventure everyday. Best part was getting DAILY photo and video updates. I absolutely love this team, they are all so professional and organized and they set up everything to be so safe and wonderful during Covid. I appreciate them following through even in this massive heat wave. My dogs have two different personalities, one is eight years old and has a custom to having a dog walker and the other is nine months old and we got him at the beginning of Covid and has anxiety around other dogs. The team had them both on the go with one of their socialization walks. The puppy stopped barking (or atleast I hope) the moment I closed the door! There have been a few times where I gave them 20 minutes notice to pick up my dog before leaving the city and they made it happen! My dog always comes back so happy. The staff are responsive, friendly, and really know how to beat work with dogs. We took our dog over there to meet the staff and she played with so many sweet dogs who were boarding there. When she stays with them, she goes home with one of the walkers, Justine, and has a ball with her 3 dogs at her house. They always send us pictures of our dog every day during our trips, which we just love. When we lick her up, our dog is happy to see us but has obviously had an amazing time there, so we couldn't be happier. Our beloved Boston Terrier Crumpet goes for hikes three times a week with Tara and her walkers. She has also boarded with Tara when we have had to go out of town. Tara and her team are extremely professional, incredibly accommodating and always send a visit photo which brings a smile to our faces. Tara and her walkers have been a godsend for my doggos. After moving from the West Side, I was really nervous about finding a new dog walker that I could trust. With one terminally ill pup and another one with separation anxiety, the extra love and attention provided to my fur babies has exceeded my expectations. They're so accommodating with special requests, such as when it's too hot for my sick pupper, they'll play in the yard instead of walking their normal 30 minute walk. Tara and her crew are truly professional. They walked our 2 mini-dachshunds several times a day while we were gone for a long weekend. We have cameras and e-mail alerts on our alarm whenever anyone enters and exits the house, so I know exactly what time they were there - and they were punctual down to the minute and walked the dogs for about 20 minutes (which is as much as their small legs can handle). They'll even send you photos of your happy dogs while you're gone! We've had some bad experiences with other dog-sitters and walkers, so the Hot Dog crew is definitely a good referral to have! read more

I spent a few months researching kennel free boarding for my pups and since it would be my first time ever leaving my pups in the care of someone unknown for the first time I was extremely nervous. Because lets get real, you feel as if no one will take care of your pets as well as you do. I have been using Hot Dog On A Run for almost 2 years now and I am so happy that I found them! Tara is amazing and is always so willing to accomodate the walks I book. I'm very protective and overbearing about my dogs, they're basically my children, and I feel perfectly safe in trusting them in Tara's care. She is also very patient with me and how controlling I am about them. Sometimes I even get suprise texts from Tara telling me she is taking my dogs on an extended walk or playdate, it makes me so happy to know that they really care and put in the effort. They sometimes post pictures on their Facebook page, and its so weird to think that my dogs have this life while I'm at work. It makes me very happy when I see these pictures (for instance, one day they threw a doggie birthday party and I saw the pictures of my dogs there in birthday hats, too cute!!). At first I was a little hesitant about using a walking service as oppossed to a private walker, which I had had in the past. My last walker stopped walking because she started a family. That's what I love about using this service, no matter what my request or schedule is, Tara can accomodate because she has an amazing team working for her. So if one walker is out sick, another one can fill in. Makes my life so much easier! I use them for walks and for overnight pet sitting. Tara always checks in at the end of vacation sitting to make sure I'm safely home (so I don't have to worry that my pets are left alone should I get stranded).
