Holy shoot this place was so good!! And the people who work there are incredibly kind. We brought a group of vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores, and everyone was satisfied with their big and delicious gyros. The falafel is vegan and the gyro was packed with filling, and the hot sauce on the side was a great addition. My friend wasn't going to order anything, but then the chef made him something anyways. Not a ton of seating on the inside - maybe 4 or 5 tables? But it'll definitely be nice to sit outside in the summer. I'll definitely be back here! Outstanding! Mount Vernon needs this place soooo bad! Flavor for miles, respectable prices, warm, knowledgeable service, scratch-made Mediterranean with heart. What a fun neighborhood place. We had the chicken shawarma plate, the lamb and beef shawarma plate, the lentil soup (Oh. My. Goodness. Best ever! Think avgolemono, but light and lentil and sumac and parsley spiced - a cup of this will keep you alive, an inch from death. He needs to patent this...). And the baba ganoush- homemade, drizzled in olive oil and hard to stop eating. Make sure you order extra pita! A lively, lovely experience. Don't miss this! Very friendly staff welcome you in. A greek style menu with a little more spice. This place is hopping. Very small inside, maybe seats for 15?, so you are better off planning to eat outside or take it home. It is not unusual for them to run out of food, so if you come in later the menu may be reduced. HIghlites of the menu for me are the Gyros, especially the Beef & Lamb, the Arabic Shawarma sandwich, and, if you aren't going back to work, a side of the Greek Fries laced with Feta and Garlic. This is a really small thing I like: a soda is $1.95. I can't tell you how many places charge up to $5 for a can of pop. These guys keep it real. (And there is a free water canister there also.) I really enjoyed the banter with the staff and the taste of the food. Do yourself a favor and check out this place. read more

After noticing the restaurant's huge number of five-star Google reviews, we decided to give it a try out of curiosity. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, and the food came out quickly. We ordered their signature beef and lamb gyro along with the Greek fries. We were hungry enough that we forgot to take photos, but the portions were surprisingly generous. The Greek fries were packed with flavor, and the garlic sauce was rich and tasty. The gyro itself was solid, though fairly comparable to other gyro spots we've tried before. The only downside was that the garlic sauce was extremely salty--we found ourselves drinking water for the rest of the afternoon after lunch. Service was efficient and the food was satisfying overall, but the excessive saltiness kept this experience from being a five-star visit for us. read more

Yum! Excellent pitas. Crispy, cold Greek salad, and yummy Greek fries. We ordered the beef and lamb pita (delicious huge, tons of meat), and a sandwich meal that came with a pita, Greek salad, and fries that we upgraded to Greek fries. It was a TON of food - we could easily have shared just the sandwich meal and both been full. This is a great takeaway option, but they do have a few small tables if you prefer to dine in. Large portions, lots of meat on the gyros, vegetables were crisp and fresh, just the right amount of sauce, and it was NOT greasy at all! The chef & staff are a cohesive group. If smiling is contagious that's the first impression. The restaurant itself is cozy. Ladies, bring a jacket if it's cold outside as being a smaller establishment means the air temp will drop quickly as the door to the entrance is opened. The food itself is a generous portion of delicious Mediterranean go to items. I had the Lamb/Beef Gyro. It was awesome. My partner had the lamb Shwarma which was equally terrific. Friendly staff. I loved everything about this place. Small little restaurant in downtown Mt. Vernon. Walked in and greeted right away, wife and I kinda knew what we wanted but once we saw the menu it got hard, so many things sounded good. We got the gyro plates with a side of falafel. Falafel with crunchy on the outside and soft in the center, I dipped in both tahini sauce and the hummus on my plate SO GOOD! The plate came with gyro meat over rice. We forgot to ask what was in the rice cause it was so delicious it blew us away. I've never gotten excited about rice salad was refreshing and pita was soft and warm. I really hope this place stays around for a long long time cause I'm coming back to try the kabobs and gyro fries! read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Absolutely delicious!! This is our second time ordering from here, and the first time was just as good, but sometimes when you return, it's not so great. That's not the case here. Absolutely worth every penny. Everything tastes authentic, and the hummus and baklava is so delicious, it makes the store version tastes like garbage.
