I purchased a Groupon for Hot Mama without reading the Groupon reviews, that was a big mistake. It is located in an office building. You'll be asked to wait in the lobby for your appointment, which is fine by me. The reasoning is that the place you'll have your treatment is just one room, so she obviously doesn't want people to be in there while someone else is having a treatment - which is pretty reasonable. Her treatment room was very nicely decorated and lit. I was very excited when I first walked in, but then the actually appointment started. After filing out paperwork I went into the office to begin treatment. She started asking me questions about why I was doing treatment and where I wanted to work on. I didn't feel welcome and even felt uncomfortable sitting on the couch because I was confused about the process and what would happen next. After I was done talking it was her turn. She explained how many sessions it takes before you see results. She told me it was anywhere between 6 and 24 and she highly recommended at least 12 (Even though the Groupon says most people see a result after 1 treatment). I was friendly and listened to her explanation. After that it was time for the treatment. The actual treatment wasn't terrible. While I laid on the bed I was able to watch music videos as she used the ultrasound machines on my thighs (only Brittney Spears music videos). We were quiet for maybe 2 or 3 minutes and then she started again about how many treatments I should get. I had purchased the Groupon for 6 sessions, which meant I'll get 3 for each thigh. She told me about how she was offering a deal for people to buy more sessions at the Groupon price in their first session. She also offered her VIP program but told me that the Groupon deal was better. I'm not sure if I lead her on by listening and giving positive feedback but as I started cleaning up after the session (she got some ultra sound goop on my skirt) she continued to tell me about buying more sessions. Then she started telling that if I used a credit/debit card it would be $10 but there would be no extra charge if I use cash. I continued to listen when she pulled out a piece of lined paper (Yellow legal pad) with peoples names on it and asked how to spell my name. I found this strange but I consider myself fairly friendly and so I gave her my information. She writes it down with everyone else's names and then BAM she asked how many sessions I want to purchase. When I told her I was just going to do the current Groupon she was obviously frustrated. She crossed my name out and said "Oh. I thought we were moving forward." That was the end of any friendly talk from her. She handed me a card and said that these were the normal prices and today was the only day to get the extra deal. I told her I'd need to speak with my husband first and apologized. Then I felt like I was just ushered out of her office. Honestly, I had no idea I was going to be expected to buy more. This thing was $199 - why would she expect anyone to have that much CASH on them? I bought a Groupon because that was what I could afford. I literally didn't have the money to give her card or cash. If she had said something like "Oh sure! Talk to your husband, if you call me by the end of the day I can honor the Groupon price!" maybe I would still show up to my other appointments but honestly I don't even want to show up to the rest of my treatments. Short Story: Just don't bother with her unless you are ready to buy more sessions. read more

I was confused when she said there was just a consultation and not actual treatment and it would take multiple sessions for any results to show. That's fine but there was just something about this woman that had a really mean attitude. I don't know what it was about her but she talked to me like I was an idiot because I was confused as to what exactly was going on since it was my first time coming in. I have had 3 sessions at Hot Mama and have had no issues. There have been several instances where I have needed to reschedule and have been able to. The sessions were comfortable and DID work, not only for smoothing my skin, smoothing my scarring and for pain relief, but I also lost a pant size without any other drastic changes other than following the post-procedure instructions. I have three sessions (2 areas each) left that I purchased after seeing the results of my first treatment. I will be finishing those up in August. The sessions and areas of the body to be treated were explained to me before I bought more, so I was not doing anything that was not perfectly clear to me in advance. read more

i bought a package from Groupon so I could try this procedure out, and it was a pretty good deal for how much it normally costs. They are very descriptive about making sure to be there on time since it is on a tight schedule each day, which I appreciate so that you are literally paying for your own time to be there one on one with them. Rinah has been the one scheduling me each time, and she is happy to answer any questions you might have and is very nice each time I go in. Before I know it, we are talking up a storm and then my time will be up, it's really fast and simple! I wanted to look my best for my honeymoon and had some problem areas on the back of my legs. Working out wasn't fixing it as quickly as I had hoped so I purchased the Groupon for Hot Mama. I did 6 sessions and it worked great! Now not everything was gone after 6 sessions, but it was definitely an improvement and made me feel comfortable in my swimsuit and shorts. As for the owner, I think she's really nice and made me feel comfortable. The room has a good vibe and we talk the whole time so the appointment goes by quickly. I received a text message from the ultrasound technician at 7:15 a.m. saying that they were running behind, and that they will add time to my next appointment while I was driving to their office stuck in traffic. Their site said to give ample time to get their for treatment, so I left my house early to get their on time. This was going to be my first time to Hot Mama Body sculpting. Tried texting, and calling the technicians number & their office with no response to see if I still had an appointment. My appointment was suppose to be at 8:30 this morning. At this point I am extremely upset while driving there, with no response, and no appointment. Not a good first impression. Finally got a text back at 8:18 from the technician saying "I will give you a one hour visit worth four treatments for your trouble. Please use code 1234 when rescheduling." I had a horrible experience at Hot Mamas. I purchased a Groupon for 6 sessions which meant 3 appointments 2 sessions each. I arrived and a chalk board sign asked me to wait in the lobby while session was in. When she called me in she asked me to fill out a questionnaire. "It is OK if you aren't truthful, because I will ask you anyway" What?! Who says that in a professional business? That is it, this isn't a professional business at all! After saying this first session is only the consultation she wanted to show me the offers available to Groupon users and wanted to know which package I wanted to purchase. I said none. She said I had no sessions today it was just for the consultation. She also said i won't see any improvement after only 6 sessions and I need to purchase an additional package of more sessions at an additional charge. I continued to say no. Add I continued to find discrepancies in what she was saying it was clear this Groupon was her way of getting people in to buy more packages. I already paid $200 for this and as she spoke more it was apparent I paid the money for a scam. As I caught her in saying more discrepancies and it was apparent i wasn't going to purchase anything else she said it was time that I leave. She said I was getting angry and she was right. I am only giving the star because I believe the ultrasound treatment itself does work-( if you get the sessions you paid for-)but ladies and gents..go somewhere else!! I didn't know whether to be sad or pissed when I realized this amazing experience was going to be cut short before I could even have the experience because I wasn't buying anything when I came in(yes if you purchased anything via groupon or the no longer amazon local you are pretty much chopped liver as far as the "administrator/used car salesman/scammer/fake" is concerned. I sincerely liked her and enjoyed the real, down to earth(I guess I was the only one participating)conversations we had during my 2 out of what I thought would be a total of six sessions. Not once does she ever mention during the session, before or after that each time you come in for a 20 min treatment that counts as 2 sessions?! Either she says that because she wants you to upgrade by buying more(preferably at least 250.00 cash)or signing up for the membership of 3 months at the least for 189.00 a month or she's just lying- and the nice cool chick you thought she was turns into a rude,arrogant..let's just say not very nice person to keep things civil. Once she realizes you just want to use what you paid for through groupon or amazon local- which was 199.00 and says for 6 sessions-she pretty much either makes it so you have no sessions left or you just no longer feel like going in because being in a private room alone with her knowing she doesn't want anything to do with you because you are making her work for free- why would you even go at all? Instead I rescheduled an appointment for 9:30 on a Saturday morning(after I had only gone twice and she told me I had none left and Id need to upgrade when I came in...hmm..) So, of course I didn't show up and I don't feel bad about making her sit there without a client(of course "client" would be too professional to use for this joke of an establishment. My girlfriend has done ultrasound therapy several times over the years and has never heard of this happening and also knows the sessions-that is one session- are twenty minutes long-plus its not ok to pressure someone into buying anything when they come in for something they purchased to receive a service. Please anyone that reads this-I should've read the reviews- do not go here-this place needs to be shut down especially because ultrasound body sculpting is an amazing experience that works and there are several fine respectful establishments that provide the same treatment. I have read the other reviews and their experiences are just like mine...I was so excited to use my sessions, I waited until after the holiday to schedule the first appointment which went well- even though she did bring up the upgrade and the membership to me and then my boyfriend once the session was over which we said we'd think about it but not that day-so when I had my appointments all a week apart I was already seeing results. DO NOT GO HERE!!! This was the most unprofessional establishment I have ever been to. I bought the services on Groupon and was so incredibly excited to have the treatment done. I live in Lynnwood and booked 3 appointments out over 3 weeks time. I showed up this morning 15 minutes early for my 10:00am appointment and sat in the lobby for 15 min. Then received a text (yes a TEXT) that she wouldn't be able to make my appointment and the soonest she could get me in would be 12:00. I had to work at 12:00 so I told her that would not work and that I would prefer to have my appointment at my scheduled time considering I drove 45 min to get there. She said she couldn't do that and I needed to reschedule, so I told her that I needed to know if she was going to be available for my other treatment times. On to my frustrations with the woman who runs this business herself.... First two sessions were fine, actually saw some results. Fast-forward to my third session and here's where I get really pissed off. Minutes before my appt I get a call saying my appt has to be rescheduled because she is "locked out of her office". Strange how she calls me after I've already left my house (which is 45 mins away) when she should have already been open for over an hour!!! Either she didn't have the decency to call me before I left the house when she realized she was locked out OR she didn't want to do my last treatment (leaning towards second one!). Letting go of that I rescheduled my last appt, since I paid for it, and waited at the office for 45 minutes prior to make sure she didn't pull another scam on me. Low and behold she did!!!!!! I watched a client walk out at 12:20 and waited for 40 mins until my 1pm appt. I didn't watch ANYBODY ELSE leave the room. And at 1pm nobody comes to treat me and the woman is hiding in her room. The one star is generous! I bought a coupon from Groupon and was excited to experience body sculpting. I had looked up reviews for the procedure, but did not specifically look up reviews for this location. She canceled my appointment with an automated email and I didn't get it in time. I was in her waiting room and another woman came in. We were chatting and I asked if she was being treated by Hot Mama, she said yes, she had scheduled the night before. When Rinah came in (late) I asked her about my appointment. She said it had been canceled. Period. No explanation! I told her my coupon expired that day and she said no problem, she could see me on Saturday. We rescheduled and I drove the 45 minutes back home. On Saturday I sat in her office waiting room again for 15 minutes before I knocked on her door and eventually left. I texted her when I got home only to find a text from her that had been sent AFTER I left for my appointment, cancelling our appointment, AGAIN. And again, she gave no explanation. She is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in a service industry. If it were not for selling Groupons I am sure she would have no business. Now I am trying to get a hold of anyone at Groupon to get my money back with no satisfaction so far. I am wondering if some of the other reviewers actually went to this place. The first half of Ranae's review is mostly correct (it is one room, and you do wait in the lobby), but as far as personality, all of the reviews so far could not be further from what I experienced. I purchased 6 sessions through Groupon, which is 3 visits (2 15-minute sessions per 30-minute visit). The physician was very informative and honest about the process right at the start. She further explained that the reason for her questions about my goals and why I was doing this was to create realistic expectations. It could not have been expressed more clearly to me that this does not work without effort on the part of the patient. During all three of my visits she was very friendly and made great conversation. She motivated me to get in the best shape of my life, and at my best I was running 4 miles a day, which was completely due to the motivation of making sure this worked. I did not end up purchasing additional visits, because I did not need them. The physician did tell me about the discount at the end of my first session, and also at the end of my third, but was not anywhere near as pushy as other people seem to indicate. Based on my experience, I think they are confusing "friendly" with unprofessional. The other reviewers clearly just voted 1-star without putting any real thought into an accurate score. read more
