Stopped to get groceries for a trip and despite the store being very big and spacious the haphazardness of it all was so off putting . Finding things was a struggle and the way the shelves are organized makes no sense. Between four of us we had to do multiple laps of aisles to locate even the basics and still ended up not finding things . We also got some fresh snacks to-go and they were pretty good. I am a regular customer of getting fresh chapathi packets from their deli. On a weekly basis I get 3-4 packets and each has 10 nos. For past few weeks the quality degraded , seems they are adding Maidha flour, creating that rubber like or chewy chapathi's. I am not sure why they do this, initially they started as authentic( wheat chapathi),, now the quality has degraded and focused on profit making. The floor is messy and I met with an accident and fractured my knee because of the store's ignorance. There was an okra on the ground and no one even did the cleaning. It was messy on the floor and I slipped on the OKRA residue and FRACTURED my knee badly. 9pm in the night and before the store closes it needs to clean, but they did not even sweep the floor. This is the most horrible Indian store I have been to, the prices are expensive then other stores like New India Bazar, furthermore I got harassed by this scary looking old man working in vegetable section, he keeps trying to talk to me , stares at me. I come here for their Organic offerings which they have a wide range of, some of which are unavailable in other Indian Grocery stores in this locality. Shelves are well stocked and helpers around are always willing to help. They have a Price Checker which is helpful for the items that do not have price tags. They get really busy in the evenings, mornings are quiet. They do sell Indian sweets, hot food & snacks, Indian Speciality Foods & takeaway meals. They also offer Same Day Delivery! I regularly shop here, primarily for the unique selection of vegetables and spices that I can't find at Costco or other local stores. However, I've had some deeply troubling experiences during my visits, particularly at the checkout. Unfortunately, there are three women working at the cash counter who consistently engage in behavior that feels nothing short of bullying. Once, while I was at the food counter, a gentleman who used to serve pani puri asked me where I was from and if I lived nearby. I responded politely to avoid any awkwardness. However, during a subsequent visit, when I was standing in line for food, he singled me out, instructing me to step aside so that other customers could move ahead of me. This was both surprising and uncomfortable, and these same three women at the cash counter have exhibited similar attitudes. Charging me 10x extra on each visit. if you really hate your customers and are only here to make them feel terrible why don't you keep a sign that says "Not Welcome" or somethig. This kind of behavior creates a hostile environment that turns what should be a pleasant shopping experience into a burdensome task. As someone who values good customer service, I find it disheartening that such unprofessional conduct is tolerated. Customers deserve to be treated with if not with respect at least with kindness, especially in a business that relies on their patronage. To add to the distress, there was an instance where one of the women made an inappropriate comment to my daughter. I chose to ignore it at the time to avoid escalating the situation, but it's not something I should have had to overlook. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as the atmosphere created by these employees is driving me to reconsider my visits. read more

When I called back to complain, the person on the phone gave a lame excuse and then simply hung up the call. Grocery store is ok, half of the times veggies are not fresh, store keeps expired items and doesn't bother to keep shelves clean and organized. Employees are unfriendly. Ever since this place's name changed from Apna Bazaar to India Cash and Carry and the new owners took over, this place has gone downhill. They are trying to squeeze every penny out of this business at the expense of cleanliness and freshness. unfortunately, they've kept this place filthy and disgusting. I recommend going here only to see this for yourself. - Their floors, shelves are filthy with layers of grime clearly visible. - They allow their vegetables to get moldy and just mix those moldy vegetables into the more fresh ones - especially the onions. - on several occasions, I have taken home dosa / idly batter only to go home and see a layer of green mold floating at the top - this is partially my fault because I should have checked the expiration, but nonetheless, I shouldn't have been able to pick expired batter at random on so many occasions. - they have a food counter/ restaurant with prepared food. Go take a look for your self and see how dirty this area is. They don't regularly wipe the glass or countertops so it is extremely dirty and disgusting. You will find dried up curry stains splattered on all the surfaces surrounding the food station . Sometimes you will go there expecting that they give you the food combo that's on the menu for that day only to be surprised that they are out of half of those items (rice, chapathi, jamun) and substitute it without communicating that they did so. - the staff that works at this counter can be rude. If you follow their signs and request exactly what's listed in the sign, they mess up your order and will show you an attitude when you ask them to correct it. The first time this happen I just thought it is miscommunication but it happens twice after - basically the staff that works at the counter are rude. The other staff are super helpful and courteous. - the store is getting more and more disorganized when compared to the past under apna bazaar owners. I wish they would improve on all these things because the location and size of this store means it has the potential to be a great store like it was previously under Apna Bazaar. read more

This review is for the chaat stand and the sugarcane juice stand outside the store on weekends. They usually have pani poori, paapdi chaat and dahi bhalla. Pretty good! The pani puri is a live station and they are pretty generous with their servings. The sugarcane juice is excellent!! He uses mint and lemon and it's super refreshing! I've been there every weekend and am glad we have a lil spot now here in my neck of the woods! read more

I stopped at this location today to get some Indian food and the lady that works there was being very unprofessional as she was using the phone, personal phone and talking to other people. Also, as I'm trying to order, they kept messing up my food because everyone has headphones in their ear and having side conversations. They have fresh produce at a reasonable price but every time I go (which is almost every 2 weeks), some of the items are charged incorrectly at the register. I learned my lesson to always take a picture of the price before I pay. I pay attention to what the register charge and I let the cashier when the price charges is not correct. I shop India cash and carry Pleasanton but due to my shoulder injury I asked outside help to the guy. He didn't greet. He was so rude didn't took my phone number first. When I asked helped with heavy stuff he said rudely put it and Also bag it to your self . He also said you shop so much almost $200.00 and I can't help you outside I don't have time . But there was no line on that time . He also make me put my own stuff into the bags when I asked help multiple times he Refused. I told him for pain he said do it your own bags. As good as it gets, they gave decent variety of groceries, store is clean, never crowded and kitchen is a great add on. I am usually in and out under 10 min and they carry great quality organic dairy products which is cheaper than Whole Foods and with larger items try to compete with Costco on pricing. I found expired items on the shelf. I pointed it out, and the next time, i saw the same item with expiry dates attempted to be rubbed off. Please be very careful what you buy and check the expiry date, specially if you are planning to feed your loved ones. There are ample alternatives in driving distance. This is a big store. They have a lot of things. They also have a food court like in front of the store. Good papdi chaat and Dahi balla. The 2 item special is 7,49 and full is 9.99 Full is a better deal. However the groceries are at lest 25% more expensive than the stores around. Fresh vegetables are very expensive and packaged like lentils; yogurt; and many others are very very expensive. Store offers a 'Any 2 curry meal plate to go, but there is this one rude, kadoos lady behind the counter, who rations you to 1 curry(with paneer) and a dal or kadhi or potato option. As long as curry is available, give the customer their choices, otherwise let customers know ahead that its only 1 curry and a whatever else option.  After waiting 20-30 mins in line, it was so frustrating to be told you cant get what you like, and this causes he line to go that much slower, as people reassess their choices after encountering that woman. You really need to improve your Customer service and also the efficiency of how you serve in the food line, esp when there is a weekend crowd. I live close by to store and go there to pick up groceries and the guys at counter are fine, but the food service really needs improvement. read more
