My friend has been putting me onto so many food gems lately... So far I've been here twice. And I drive all the way here from Oakville. It's THAT good. Not only was the restaurant theme absolutely breathtaking (which was a huge surprise for being in an industrial area), the variety, flavors, and value were AMAZING. I really like the cordyceps flower, red date, and goji berry broth as my base, which is basically an elevated chick/pork broth. They have at least 10 other bases to choose from without and "premium" charge like other places. Classic sliced hotpot meats are ordered through their QR code menu, but mostly everything else is self serve. All I really eat off the ordering menu is beef belly so I get the rest of my proteins from the self serve buffet. They even have frog legs!! Which I'm still working up the courage to try but how often do you see that as an option for ayce?! For $29 +tax & included gratuity, they have a very large and high quality selection of food, as well as a large drink selection if you're feeling boozy of if you're into milk tea (additional cost), and pop is bottomless. They're also open until midnight, however they stop seating people past 10:30. Parking is validated for up to 4hrs in the complex's attached garage. I'd also like to note that this place is NOT halal or allergy friendly! Because of their self serve buffets it's really easy to cross-contaminate seafood, seed, and nut items. I also wish their seating was more comfortable, the chairs and benches are unpadded wood, which are beautiful but can be a little uncomfortable if you're staying for an extended period of time. Tbh the place and selection are just so big that if I went on about every little feature I'd probably max out the character limit for this review, lol. I would highly recommend this hot pot location. Theming of the place is really up there as one of the best. I can see the level of effort they did with the wall finishes and with the dining tables being its own separate unit complete with a pagoda top. Food variety is excellent. The treat I enjoyed eating the most is the Shrimp Dumpling. They look like small money pouches with a stamped symbol on them. I also appreciated that they have frog legs available. I don't often see frog legs available in the menu and let alone in an All You Can Eat place. For Sunday lunch, the price of the unlimited hotpot is $35.99. This includes unlimited premium meats, sides, soft drinks, and dessert. They advertise it as such but I think I only remember seeing about 3 dessert options: a sesame seed ball, a tiramisu-like cake, and maybe one other dessert dish. While I would have liked the quality of their beef to be a tad better, I was thoroughly impressed by how expansive their seafood and veggie selection were. This is such a hidden gem in North York. I was looking for an AYCE restaurant that I haven't tried before and came across this place that has AYCE hotpot. They have a lot of variety and the staff is super helpful. This was our first time trying something like this and they completely understood and assisted us in every way possible. There's a cold station along with make-your-own-sauce kinda setup that's super interesting to play with. We went for half and half soup base for our hotpot and tried the tomato and the spicy base and I loved both. They originally booked us for 2 party rooms - 2 tables, 10 per table w/ 1 pot. I don't know about you but 10 people to 1 pot is just NOT IDEAL. My cousin called to change it to 4 tables (5 ppl each) and that was fine. On the day of when we arrived, they said the 4 tables were no longer available and that we were given 1 table with individual pots and another table with 10 ppl/pot. We had no choice so we took it but honestly, never again do I want a single pot shared with that many people! We were almost there for 2 hours when they gave us a last call for that specific table too because someone else had booked it, meanwhile the table in front of us has been eating before we arrive and still eating by the time we left, which was a little unfair. They also scratched ordering from the QR code except for the soup and meat. Everything else was self serve. The area for the self serve was quite small so on a busy day you'll be in line waiting for food for awhile. There's also less cooked food and desserts than before. Pretty good hot pot spot opened up I think 2 years now. It's all your can eat style ordering through a QR code at each table - so relatively easy and no touching a gross shared ipad. Pricing-wise, it was alright. Pretty much comparable to other hot pot locations across Markham. The food selection is fairly decent as well. I like that they had some snack items and some cooked items to order. I will say, I wish they had more variety of noodles, and the cold dishes with the chili oil need more flavour. It was oddly flavourless stuff (I'm talking about the ones that are by the sauce stations). The sauce station is set up nicely. All the sauce components neatly organized and ready for you to enjoy. The different sides have different snack options though so be sure to check out both sides. I'd say that the food varieties was wide enough to have most of what you would want, but not anything special. The broth was probably most disappointing to me. I ordered tomato and it really didn't have the tomato flavouring. The crab paste one my friend ordered was flavourful but it smelled so strongly. The plain pork soup was alright as well. The price is super competitive in comparison to other hotpot spots, and I think this one is the most worth it. I love the variety of their ingredients... they have a ton of meats including some premium type cuts, your typical classic hotpot ingredients, plus some other unique items like bbq skewers and braised dishes. They also have 2 self-serve appetizer and sauce stations. My favourite broth that I get every time is their tom yum. The atmosphere of this space is a nice bonus... it's very spacious and the decor is really nice. They have 4 hour parking validation in the attached parking garage, which is convenient. The only thing is that I find their service to be a hit or miss... on a good day, they are really attentive and quick, but I have gone a few times where they seem understaffed and things tend to come slower or it's difficult to find in-person service since everything is handled through their mobile ordering system. We went to Hotpot 9 for their summer special, and we had a mixed experience. The selection of food for the price was fantastic, the food was fresh, and soup base was tasty. Order by qr code on the sides of the table, quantities are updated live so multiple people/phones can order at the same time and everyone can see the most up to date numbers. There were a few items that were missed/forgotten, which we had to reorder, but that is still ok as it was ayce. Unfortunately, there were flies and fleas of all sizes, flying around our table and a huge hoard around/in the communal condiments/sweets table. They are also pretty attentive in refilling your soup as well. Also like most hot pot places you get to make your own dipping sauce. The staff are really friendly and attentive. Makes a great experience, especially for the very reasonable price. The restaurant also has a cool Chinese aesthetic. You'll understand when you see it. Sitting 10 people to a square table sharing one hot pot is not exactly the most ideal... we end up just standing and eating most of the time LOL. All orders can be done through your phone, and they'll bring the dishes over. This means you don't have to wait to flag send a server to send it to the kitchen. In terms of variety, I would say it is smaller than other large hotpot chains, but they have the basics covered such as pork, beef, lamb, beef tongue, water cress, mushrooms, and mussels. I'm pretty much here to load up on meat so it's got what I need anyways. The meats are very thin sliced, so they finish cooking in seconds. Very nice. My main issue is they don't seem to want to give you food after a few rounds. I love this hotpot restaurant and we have been going here since 2022 which way back then it was really good the service and the food was great . During lunch the service is not so great since I guess they dont have enough staff during those times since probably there is no lunch rush compared to dinner. Fast forward 2025 they are getting all the fame and of course they deserve it since the ambiance is nice, decorations and the food but now they need to hire more people to accommodate all their rush . They have upgraded now to picking your own serving of veggies/drinks/dessert which makes the space more smaller.
