After a long night out, I decided to have a hair of the dog the next day with dinner at an AYCE Hot Pot. Opted for drank a small amount of Soju to ease my hangover. Hot Pot Buffet can be found in Boston's Chinatown. You will find a good buffet for hot pot serving a lot of options. We got all you can eat for four people and a bottle of Soju. Was seated on the ground floor of the restaurant, it was a steady busy Friday night. One of the girls in the group suggested of an amazing hot pot place that exceeded all my expectations! The all-you-can-eat concept provides a fantastic variety of fresh ingredients, ensuring there's something for every palate. The broth options were flavorful. I chose the House Broth, while the service is good. What sets this place apart is the unbeatable price for the quality of the dining experience. It's a must-try for hot pot enthusiasts seeking a delightful and budget-friendly meal. They are also open very late!

The place looked super sketch on the outside. Inside wasn't much better LOL. Downstairs for individuals or couples and larger groups eat upstairs. You use a paper menu and pencil to mark what you want. We chose assorted veggies, seafood, and meats to try. The waiters bring them out on plates portioned for the number of people in your party. There were a selection of Chinese style broths. We didn't do anything adventurous and chose the chicken broth (they also had black chicken broth, herbal broth, etc). The broth did have good flavor. Their pricing is weird. It was 31.99 per person for dinner and $4 extra for the broth. You can tell that the meats and most of the seafood were all frozen. That's ok but the quality was definitely lower. Clams were surprisingly higher quality and fresh. They were gigantic too! Waiters were responsive when we asked for more food.

Amazing experience with affordable prices! Service is ok, but if you look past that and don't mind waiting. Once you're all set up with your brother and food everything is fresh and amazing! And of course you'll leave rolling out of there. Fresh seafood and delicious broths

Came here for dinner while wandering around Chinatown. We got promptly seated upon arrival and the service was friendly. Like a lot of AYCE buffets, it's pretty straightforward. They give you paper and pen to check off what you would like. We got a variety of different things. I must say that I was kind of surprised when we got the things we checked off since it was a little misleading. The sausage that they had in the menu were actually hot dogs. There weren't a lot of sauce options but it was good enough for my friend and me. There's unlimited meat, veggies, and seafood and at that price point, it's definitely an amazing value. The food won't be super high quality for an AYCE buffet but for a casual dinner with friends is great. This place definitely fit the bill of what we were looking for -- an inexpensive yet filling dinner.

I came in with a small group and I was seated right away. I was about to pick 2 broths and order from a menu. The sauces were pre made. I recommend coming here with a group.

This is a really solid place to come to for hot pot. We usually get the house broth and the spicy broth, which is really flavorful. It's all you can eat, so you can check off whatever you want and they'll bring it to the table. I usually get a couple kinds of steak, crab legs, shrimp, salmon, white fish, quail eggs, an assortment of veggies (bok choy, chinese broccoli, mushrooms, etc), and white rice. They have MANY more offerings, but that's just what I usually go with. You can ask for more sheets to get more whenever you want, which is great. I definitely recommend Hot Pot Buffet as a tasty, inexpensive all-you-can-eat option.

I just love the fact that you can order and try everything without breaking the bank. The broth is fine and so are the accompaniments (ask for fresh garlic, peppers, and scallions) veggies are fresh and so are the meat, seafood a bit lacking but it is buffet so I'm not expecting too much. All in all a great value for what I ordered (which was everything). I would go back for lunch on my own especially on a chilly day, and spend a couple of hours listening to tunes on my AirPods, working on my laptop, and dipping away.

Great spot for super late-night eats cause they open until 2 AM. I LOVE THEIR SAUCE! Man, what is their sauce its so addicting I go through 2-3 bowls of sauce every time I go. It's AYCE with a good selection of meats and veggies, seafood is lacking but what do you expect. I be going crazy here and leaving stuffed.

Lunch'd here with the fam. This spot came recommended in Boston's Chinatown district so I was excited to try for myself. The restaurant is two stories affording these guys the ability to entertain almost any party size. We sat upstairs and the space was huge. Upon seating, one of the servers passed out their signature dipping sauce in which could be dressed with chilli peppers, fresh diced garlic, and green onions. From there, you can select the type of broth(s) you want for your hot pot. We chose a spicy broth and then a more mild one for my niece. Once the broth arrives, you check off all the different types of vegetables, protein, seafood you want for your unique hot pot experience. We chose a little bit of everything and ate our hearts out. It is unlimited so be careful how much you order -- you don't want to be one of those wasteful buffet diners especially given how expensive food in general costs these days. Seafood and beef that we ordered were fresh and tasted great once cooked in the broth. If you have young hungry teenagers, this is a good choice to fill their stomachs up completely for a flat price.

Food selection is good with a lot of seafood choices. House special soup base was flavorful and the spicy was pretty spicy for those who like it! They do pretty well about making sure your pot stays filled with soup but some things that you mark on your list may not come so we had to bug waiters a couple of times.

Meets expectation. Imagine you meet a straightforward guy that looks great on paper with a wide variety, but often times gives you yellow poor quality meat, a little bit of attitude when he services you, is cheap and reasonable, makes you pay extra when you want his premium meat, makes you nag when you want more, but at the end of the day fills you up. Well, that guy, is Hot Pot Buffet. Simple, straightforward, meets expectations. Side note: * $30/person * does not offer dessert * variety: prime rib, short rib, lamb, beef tongue, squid, salmon, salmon, dumplings, kabocha, taro, noodles, udon, rice, rice cakes, gluten fried dumplings, bok choy, water cress, Napa, pork blood, enoki, trumpet mushrooms, shrimp ball, tofu, bean curd, shrimp, quail eggs, rice * only 3 different sauces: sacha sauce, hoisin, soy sauce

Shanghai Classic Pork Pan-Fried Buns上海生煎饅頭: I was instantly hooked! It's hard to imagine finding such good pan-fried buns in the US. Almost every table ordered them, so they were all freshly made, piping hot. The bun was made with unleavened dough, making it chewy and refreshing, with a light, crispy bottom--not oily or hard. The meat filling was substantial and tender, with plenty of broth (see picture). It was sweeter than salty, incredibly umami. The chili oil was also very fragrant, and dipping it in Zhenjiang vinegar enhanced the flavor and cut through the greasiness. Shredded Pork & Preserved Vegetable Noodle Soup雪菜肉絲麵: The noodles were thin and round, with a soft, mushy texture. While the noodles were clearly machine-made, this isn't a problem in the Yangtze River Delta region; the issue was likely overcooking. The shredded pork were well-stirred, with tender meat, but the noodles lacked flavor. They had to be eaten with the pickled mustard greens雪菜 to be slightly salty, and the umami flavor was severely diluted. The tableware is all disposable, and tipping is not mandatory. It's quite affordable.

Food 5/5: every dish we ordered represented Sichuan flavors well, especially the spiciness of it! Our favorites were the eggplant with spicy garlic sauce, with the chengdu dry hot chicken and the string beans. The braised beef with Napa cabbage and mapo tofu were also delicious. Ambience 3/5: super loud. It wasn't even the music, it was that people's conversations were bouncing off the walls in a small space such that it was not possible to hear the other people in my group except who I was sitting next to. I saw several dates there and hopefully they could hear each other ok. Drinks: 2/5 overpriced and disappointing.
