Pros, I like that I can swing through a drive thru for ramen after work. It is however 10 minute wait but you're given that information before paying. The staff is nice. I found Hot Spots Eat Fresh after looking around for spots nearby that searched for General Tso's chicken. This is one of my favorite dishes. This restaurant had high reviews, the food pics look good, so I said why not give it a try? I placed a pick up order online from their website and parked and went inside to get my food. I did notice they do have a drive through and curbside pick up. Inside was pretty spacious and it had a few people eating around lunch time on a weekday. My food was ready when I went to get it, which was awesome. General Tso's chicken was very delicious. The piece of chicken meat was fresh and tasty and good pieces, but the tough and chewy parts of the chicken. The flavor was good, not too sweet or spicy. However I wish they had broccoli included. The rice was steamed food and tastes as you would expect white rice from a Chinese restaurant to taste like, bland to mild flavor (It's white rice). The reviews got it right! I've been on the hunt for a good Chinese spot and this place did not disappoint. The pad Thai was good with a nice amount of spice and flavor. The food was definitely not what we expected. The sweet and sour chicken was basically just small chicken strips with lots of fried rice and some sweet and sour sauce. No vegetables at all. The spring roll was awful, no taste and it was mushy. The meal was also over salted. It seems to me that the people that had good experiences here must have had a different cook than those of us that left dissatisfied. The lack of consistency is a good reason to skip this place. It had been 2 years since my last delivery - and now I'm left wondering how long I've been missing out. My usual place is in FloMo but my hubby wanted some regular Chinese food. Their menu certainly has been updated and I love that you can add comments after your selections. We settled on veggie egg rolls, crab rangoon, shrimp lo mein, spicy handmade wontons and combination (beef, chicken, shrimp) garlic sauce with steamed rice. I don't like my food swimming in sauce so I asked for the garlic sauce on the side. DoorDash was quick but accidentally delivered to my neighbor's porch so I scooped it up. It was all in one bag and you could tell sauce was everywhere so I put it all in the sink. Sure enough, my sauce container had cracked and leaked! I normally don't like thick wrapped egg rolls but I was hungry so down the hatch - not bad if you like that style. I dipped mine in the spicy wonton sauce. I don't eat rangoon but my hubby liked them. The lo mein was ok. The stars were the wontons and my sauce-less combo stir fried with yummy veggies. The veggies were perfectly crisp and not overcooked. I ended up dumping some of the wonton sauce on mine. Very nice! I can't wait to try their crispy tofu appetizer! Now that I know the trick to order sauce on the side, I am looking forward to getting more. Bonus, I had enough left for 2 more meals! Hidden gem! Although location and ambience is average, service and food is great! I tried ramen, dumplings soup, curry, appetizers, boba, and most of them are 4/5! I really like the dumpling soup and appetizers! They taste fresh! I like the entrees too because they tasted homemade not artificial. The drinks are a little pricey for using powder and fruit sweeteners. If they added real fruit, maybe frozen? that would up the taste and worth the cost. Otherwise price should be lowered since it just powder and ice. This is my new favorite shop to get my weekly cravings for some quick Chinese food. The potstickers are some of the best in the fast food arena, their eggrolls are delicious and their veggie fried spring rolls have a good balance of veggie and seasonings. This was my first time coming here and immediately when I walked in I noticed how clean it was. We were sat at our table within seconds. Our waitress was a very sweet lady that provided us with great service, she got our orders and food very swiftly. Now the food was delicious! We started with egg rolls and dumplings- they were so good I didn't even get to take a picture! Then we got our entrees which were the hot spots tower and the sesame chicken (sesame chicken pictured in back). These were both delicious. Really good boba! I'm used to the ones in Richardson and have found it difficult to find decent boba up north, but this place has hands down the best boba yet. Customer service was also very friendly. The location itself is a bit off putting. There's a lot of over grown grass and it looks dilapidated. It's also just drive through only. The red bean slush was strange in that it's white not red. It didn't taste like anything. The green apple slush was a hard core jolly rancher flavor. Super sweet, but you get used to it. Lo mein was very greasy and not the best. Fried pot stickers were alright. The food was still piping hot even after a 30 minute drive home and you get a ton of it. read more

I would like to start this review by saying the family that runs this place is extremely nice and I genuinely hope they are successful with their business. I would also like to say that I have limited experience with boba, but I really like theirs. I've avoided it for the longest time because I'm a texture person, and when I finally tried it elsewhere it was awful. They had such a huge selection of milk teas and smoothies though, that I gave it a shot here and I'm glad I did. Both times I ordered a small matcha milk tea ($3.99) and then added boba ($0.50). Both times I got a consistent and delicious product and the boba was sweet and lightly chewy. I also got my husband a pineapple coconut orange (I'm serious about there being a ton of flavors) smoothie and he loved it! However, the food has been inconsistent. The first time, I went with a friend during their soft open. They didn't have what I wanted to order, so I got the tonkatsu curry combo for $7.99. It was a good portion for a fair price. I tasted my friends order of short ribs and it was very flavorful and yummy! My dish was okay, but it just didn't work cohesively for me and I couldn't put my finger on exactly why. The curry smelled and tasted as I would expect, I'm not sure why I didn't feel it went with the tonkatsu, maybe it was because the tonkatsu was a little overcooked. I held off on a review though, because I knew they were going to continue to change their menu and I really wanted to like this place because of the sweet family and the matcha milk tea. About two months later I came back. This time he got what I had tried and I went with the crispy chicken with curry. Neither curry tasted quite the same as before and the vegetables were undercooked and unappetizing. The tonkatsu appeared to be cooked correctly but I didn't try it. The chicken wasn't really crispy, it was tempura battered dark meat and was kind of meh. We did get an appetizer of 4 crab rangoon which were pretty good. They were folded a little differently so a couple of places were heavy on the wrapping, but the flavor was very nice. Whereas the meals are a good portion for the price, I did think the crab Rangoon was high for the quantity at nearly $5. Again, I decided to wait for continuing menu changes before making up my mind. They told me they were adding more Chinese items to appeal to more people, so I waited for the additions and ordered delivery. I went with the beef fried rice combo which is $11.99 and includes a soda. The container was very full. I got the crab rangoon again, but they were really thick and tasted different. The beef was nothing like I've ever had in a fried rice before. It was so...soft. I'm not positive if it was undercooked or just cooked way differently. The rice was cooked well, it was veggie heavy but the beef had me confused. I didn't finish it. The drinks are great, the owners are good people and it's possible these inconsistencies are related to the struggle to finalize the menu. However, I have to be honest that the food needs some work and needs to be consistent for me to keep coming back. read more

This is the best chinese food I've ever had in Denton. I'm not originally from TX, but it reminds me of chinese back home. I ordered food when my aunt was visiting from out of town and she agreed. My mom also agrees and she drives 30 min to get her fix. Drove by this place on my way to downtown Denton and decided to check it out! I love that it has a drive through!! However, we just decided to go in. We went around 7:00 on a Friday night and it was empty. Maybe because they just opened a few months ago? Or maybe because it's located in a random place? Not sure. My friends and I had already eaten dinner by then so we only ordered drinks. I went with a jasmine milk tea with boba and my friend went with a matcha milk tea with boba. The drinks were great! The tea taste in both were really strong and weren't too sweet either. The boba tasted fresh and was a good consistency. They have a huge variety in flavors for drinks and smoothies and have a decent variety in foods as well. All of our dishes were extremely salty. The Mongolian Chicken was inedible. The Ramen was not much better. Even the sesame chicken was too salty. I am not afraid of seasoned food, but this is gross. The business name confuses me. Like I don't know what the heck I'm eating. It's Chinese. And let me tell you it's amazing. I called to make an order and the person I spoke to despite having a thick Chinese accent was easy to under and and understood me and was just really really nice. He read everything back once I ordered. I ordered several thing including fried rice, orange chicken, and Mongolian beef. Yes some chicken rag rolls and crab rangoons for the family. They also have a drive thru to pick it up. The food is really good and yes like the name says it's fresh and you can taste it. This is no greasy buffet generic Chinese food. For example the egg rolls are tasty but they weren't greasy. I mean there is no grease getting all over your fingers despite being fried. The rangoons are almost sweet tasting but those were one of the best things I ate. The rice portion is huge. You can definitely share it. Orange chicken and the Mongolian beef were also great.
