Not bad, but not great! I came in yesterday since I was staying at a nearby hotel and there didn't seem to be many quick food options nearby! I had heard good things and wanted to try it out! I ordered the Cheddar Steak Panini and a cup of the corn chowder. My sandwich was ok, but I don't think they left it in the panini press quite long enough as the cheese wasn't too melted. The corn chowder, which the staff recommended, had a great taste but the potatoes in it seemed like they hadn't cooked long enough. The staff were all nice, but I was expecting a little more based on the company's values. I was thinking it would be more like going to a Chik Fil A, but this seems to be ran like any other quick serve establishment. Definitely not bad by any means, just not what I was expecting. Strolled into Hot Table because of rampant hunger pains. The decor is very modern and the establishment is very clean. We ordered a panini and a salad, both of which were world class. Its almost hard to review Hot Table. It's unfair to call them a sandwich shop, though that's really what they are. You might call them a Panini Boutique. The setup is akin to Subway where you follow your sandwich down the line as its made. The ingredients are nothing like Subway, freshly prepared from well thought out recipes. If you're looking for a breakfast sandwich the Vermonter is just the best. On a side note I go out of my way for their coffee. read more

I recently began working in the downtown area of Springfield, Massachusetts and have experienced a lot of difficulty finding places to eat lunch. Last week I decided to stop in at the Hot Table conveniently located in Baystate West...I mean Tower Square...right on the corner of Main Street in the space formerly occupied by Gus & Paul's and before that Friendly's. I found they offer an eclectic selection of truly hearty pannini-style deli sandwiches with an array of flavorful filling options ranging from traditional to original. I played it safe and bought a large pannini stuffed with fresh, tasty shaved turkey meat, roasted red peppers, pickles and red onions, on a thick slab of bread slathered in honey-dijon. Accompanied with a sack of kettle chips it made for a tasty and stomach-stuffing lunch which I wolfed down in record time once tucked safely back in my cubicle. Of course, if you have the time, you might want to eat in the restaurant itself, which is sleek and stylish but still warm and welcoming (there's a fireplace!) while also being uncommonly clean. If I have one gripe it's that the place seems woefully understaffed (there only seem to be two people on duty at any given time with one making sandwiches and the other operating the register) which can mean that food preparation and checkout is accomplished at a snails pace. This can make copping lunch while on a short lunch-break at work a little tough, which I found out this past Saturday when I walked in on my half-hour to find a looooooong line and only one person making sandwiches. read more

This was my first time visiting a Hot Table. I had a small Buffalo Chicken panini and a Bacon & Blue side salad. The small panini was just the right size - any larger and the bread would have been overwhelming and too filling. The panini was delicious. The food is prepared right in front of you, and the veggies and food look fresh and tasty. My only complaint is that the side salad was pretty small for an extra $3. I want more leafy greens! I'd say it's slightly expensive for a sandwich, salad, and fountain drink (~$13), but maybe I'm just being cheap. It was good, and I would go back. read more

I just started working next door in Monarch Place, and food choices are limited especially given my hours and contract, and delivery's expensive. Coworker tipped me off about Hot Table, and while I'd never heard of a panini before, and I typically go for the stereotypical 'burger and fries' I decided to give the place a shot. I am FLOORED. The staff is quite friendly and attentive, and still manage to keep the site clean despite its size and what I suspect is a smaller crew. The food was marvelous - I experimented with the build your own option, and every time it's been delicious! The selection of ingredients is also great, and I can tell just how fresh they are by the taste. This is what a sandwich shop SHOULD be, and Hot Table has managed to overcome the apprehension I had about other sandwich places thanks to Subway and Arby's. I visited this location on 1/12/17 and received less than decent service. I walked in the location ,which is a Mall type, my girlfriend and I gazed at the menu for a second but my girlfriend wanted to use the bathroom before ordering. We asked Meghan if there was a bathroom that we could use and she said we had to go upstairs. Upon coming downstairs and back to eat we went towards the back and noticed there was a bathroom. My girlfriend was less than happy. As a matter of fact Meghan didn't even noticed that we came back and didn't even bother to apologize. There was a sign that said for customers only which I saw someone use the bathrooms shortly. The kicker is that Meghan is a supervisor. I also wrote Hot Table who has yet to email me back about this incident. Hot Table claims to be a Christian organization. There employees, a supervisor at that, didn't seem to show these Christian qualities. You can understand that the meal was less enjoyable and my taste for this location is even dampered more since I've received no response. It was a lot of bread and minuscule on the meat. I hope that this may get Hot Tables attention. This day in age companies should realize that great customer service is the key to retaining customers. I've eaten at this location and at their store on Breckwood Blvd. and have had nothing but tasty, fresh, and completely customizable lunches here. You want this but not that? No problem, substitute away, just ask and point and watch your yummy creation be concocted, ingredient by ingredient. Everything here is fresh, fresh, fresh. It's NOT processed canned crap. There's a large selection of greens, veggies, marinated veggies, and (omg) delectable caramelized onions, to die for on your turkey or RB panini or wrap. Lots of combo options for salad/soup/sandwiches. Great coffee (on the bolder side, but in a good way). If their stores were closer to work, I'd go once a week for lunch. OK, the sandwich is good, but the desserts? Please try them, the 7layer bar, the mudslide and the peanut butter cookies are to die for! I am unsure about this place. Their sandwiches are good, but a bit pricey for me. Also, I am a vegetarian and they offer very few vegetarian options (aside from Caesar salad, which was 90% cheese and croutons and kind of blah). Even their vegetable soup, tomato soup and chowders are made with beef stock. No good. I'm very carb-conscious, so their panini are a little too bready for me. I heard that someone once saw them making a wrap (?!?!) but they aren't listed on the menu. I would like to try them if they are available. All in all, their sandwiches are not my first choice price wise and health wise (although there are slim pickings) and it would be nice if they had more vegetarian options or, at the very least, better salads. The employees seem nice and have been helpful. They have double checked soup ingredients for me to find out if there is meat broth used. They gave out free lattes with every purchase a while back (promotion?) which seemed very cool. read more
