In town for work-ordered on Uber Eats-best MF chicken parm takeout I've had in a long time.

I've been holding off on writing this review for a while now, but I feel like it has to be said. My friends and I (all women of color) were trying to find a place to sit and eat after spending hours at the Big E. We came across this pizzeria and decided to go in since it was the only restaurant nearby. Before we even got close to the door, a woman suddenly slammed it shut in front of us and locked it. Mind you, two older white men had just entered the establishment right before us. When I went up to the door, she looked me in the eyes and laughed. We were a group of young women in an unfamiliar area simply looking for a place to sit and eat. It's 2025 -- you should not be locking your doors on people because of their age or appearance. This pizza place I would never recommend their pizza is disgusting. They're rude and they're the worst service I've ever encountered don't go to this place. They are the worst. If you know pizza like I know pizza I'm from New York. You do not want to eat this pizza and they don't even accommodate you when you tell them their pizza is disgusting. We were visiting Springfield for the FRC robotics championship. We wanted something close to the Big E and found this great little place. Food was great, staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. We sat in the dining room to eat our dinner, we got chicken grinder and a cheesesteak, then ordered pizza for pick up for lunch the next day and then got pizza delivered the following day for lunch. Giving 5 stars on value if you need to feed a crowd at the big E. The place is right across from the Big E out there'll (easily walkable from the horse stadium), so if you're at an event and want to bring food over, call them up for a faster order time (the "slice" online system times the order out 30 min, and it costs them money anyway, so call). The 30" party pizzas are a bargain! Fed like 20+ kids and parents for $60, 1 cheese and 1 momma special, and 2 salads were good too, got chicken on the greek, the chicken was worth it, and a Caesar. Went back later in the day in the afternoon and got the party size chicken tenders like 28 for $33 (honey Bbq was pleasant, remember they are tossed in sauce, not on the side). Passed those around the crowd too. Totally worth it. They do have a a bunch of inside tables, but I was just in and out. Stuff was ready on time too. read more

Truth is years ago (over five) I had them but gave three but this time we've got redemption here. I selected a combination party pizza (photos will come) & man the toppings, crust is much better than the first time around (note the location of the place changed from near North End Bridge to Memorial Avenue (not far from the Eastern States Exposition grounds) & this gives the place more room to make delivery orders, takeout & dine in (side note seems that the place ascertained a liquor license) but overall they made major changes for the better. read more

Saturday night walk in and we were amazed. Greeted and seated and only had an hour but they said we would be OK. White glove service and wonderful food. Everything was delicious. Subs and salads were so fresh. Best chicken parmigiana around. Nice heavy pour on the wine and made us feel like family. How about fresh apple crisp they had just made and little did we know it was "on the house". If ever going to the exhibition center do yourself a favor and head across the street for some real home cooked food. Fast friendly and the atmosphere is warm and relaxing. As a truck driver, it is very hard to pull through a drive-through with an 18 wheeler, let alone a parking lot, where you won't get chased out of because you're parked there to get lunch or dinner or breakfast. It is very nice to know that there is a place like this near a industrial park, that has awesome food. I ordered two grinders, a small pizza, chicken wings, and a big fried dough. I must say I was very impressed with Mamma Mia's restaurant and if I'm ever in the neighborhood I will be calling them again for fresh and delicious food. Thank you Mamma Mia's. This Restaurants got it Right, a true Italian pizzeria. Simple fresh ingredients the other top two pizza restaurants I love. Mamma Mia has the top spot in my Heart. The Owners were all heart, The Two Top Cooks ( Both Named John) are masters of their craft, and the Waitstaff were professional, respectful, and intuitive to the Customers needs. If you want to enjoy a Pizza as a everyday Italian does in Naples this is the place. It's not a show it's Exceptional Italian Food. Please don't skip dessert too!!! I love to order from Mama Mia's. They are very friendly and when I get delivery it is always fast. I recently tried the taco pizza and it was so good. It's my new favorite pizza. I have also recently tried the boneless buffalo chicken wings and the buffalo chicken salad, both were delicious. The steak bomb grinder is also amazing. I like plane cheese or pepperoni pizza. There simple and impossible to mess up. This was possibly the worst pizza I have ever had. The marinara was sweet and there was zero flavor. If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered pizza and salad, the pizza was gross and covered in burnt cornmeal so it was almost like chewing beach sand. The salad had a nice green color until you moved it around and found the bottom layer of brown opaque lettuce. I called the restaurant to get my money back and the Jersey reject said he would give me a credit. I said I'd rather not as the cucumbers in my salad were see through as if they were left in the refrigerator for too long. He said "well if you're not gonna order again dont't waste my time" and promptly hung up the phone. I called back and requested to speak with the owner. They said they will return my money to me......I'm not going to hold my breath.... Update.....decided to call after 3.5 hours. They have decided they will not send my money back but that I would have to go pick it up. Great lines of communication there. Avoid the hassle and order somewhere else. read more

I took two brand new customers here today for lunch. The owner, Tony, was there. My dining companions and all of the other dine-in customers there for lunch were complaining that it was way too hot in the dining room. Tony said that his kitchen exhaust fan sucks out all of the a/c and he can't do anything about it. Then one of his "regulars" went over to look at the thermostat in the dining room. Tony had it set at 81 degrees. So he had lied to everyone apparently because he is to cheap to provide a/c for his dining room and his employees. That is wrong. When I got home, one of my current tenants told me that Tony is famous for not providing a/c. So I won't be going back, despite the great food he sells. I will not be disrespected by a liar, and I don't appreciate him lying to my friends and other customers of his either. read more

I ordered delivery from here a couple weeks ago while staying with our in-laws. We ordered from here before and while the food was average I thought we'd try it again. This time the delivery driver came to door with his hands full of the food we ordered for the large family. I went to go grab the food so he'd have a free hand to give me the credit card slip to sign (I'd already paid on phone) he jerked the pizza back from me and said 'You have to pay first!'. I was caught off guard as I was only looking to help and already paid..not looking to somehow steal the food?!? so explained I was trying to give him a free hand and he just rolled his eyes at me. I was traveling for work, I needed food delivered to the hotel, and Mamma Mia's Made it Happen! I must say the pizza was sub-par, I expected into be much better, but it was pretty mediocre. But then I also got a Steak & Cheese wrap, it was soon good. I also had steak fries which were just the right addition to the wrap, it was awesome! I also had the Fried Dough (which was the size of my head) with Cinnamon Sugar. I can't say they had anything on a Rhody Doughboy but it was a good sweet finish to my meal so I can't complain. Overall I would eat here again, when I travel to Springfield, they will def be my ordering spot! read more

But if they're going to tell slice to charge my card an extra .53 cents for asking to replace onions and olives with extra cucumbers if possible after the transaction is over, and I've been doing this for over 6 months and never been charged extra for it, then I will go elsewhere. Absolutely livid with this place! Where to start? We ordered delivery a few times and can't seem to get a consistent meal. This evening I ordered the seafood platter and my first one arrived burnt and tasted like old oil. I called and they sent over a second meal. The second one tasted like I was sipping directly out of a grease trap. Food was soggy and absolutely disgusting. I called and ask them to pick it up and return my money, but the owner not only refused, but called my wife a liar and told me they had more important customers to deal with. Tony (the owner) continued to tell me how I'm wrong and he doesn't care. I can't imagine how a restaurant like this survived this long. Stay away from this place! read more

After reading the reviews on Yelp I decided to get a couple of slices of pepperoni pizza on my lunch break. The cheese on the pizza looked like cheap processed cheese from a bag and wasnt covering either slice completely. The flavor was bland and a little stale. With all of the outstanding pizza places in western mass, this one shouldn't be on the list. 4 stars? I think not. read more

What a great find after a long day at six flags. We ordered a large cheese pizza and large fries. It was big enough to feed 4 teenage girls with some to bring home. The pizza was excellent. The cheese they used was a great flavor and a prefect balance of sauce and cheese. The pizza was a thicker crust and it was not greasy. The staff was friendly and the restaurant clean. I'd been ordering from them for over a year and they occasionally have problems getting my order straight. I'd call up and they'd eventually send the correct food out, though they would repeatedly play it up that I had ordered the wrong food (I generally order the same thing every time). Last week, the same thing happened. I called and they weren't answereing their phone. Since I paid for my food, I kept at it and the phone was finally answered. The man on the other end gave me a bunch of attitude, then when I finally got across that I was calling because they had made a mistake with my order he responded with "Too bad, we're closed" and hung up on me(it was 45 minutes before their advertised closing time). I used to order from them almost once a week, but after that they will never get any more business from me. Furthermore, I have upwards of 10 friends who would also regularly frequent Mamma Mia's who will now be taking their business elsewhere.
